Stark Island
DESCRIPTION -
Rumor has it that the Battle Zone - home to Sinnoh's Battle Frontier - served as the basis for the similarly-designed(and widely successful) Frontier in Johto. The Zone is situated on a large island in northeastern Sinnoh, said island also being home to the legendary Stark Mountain. It's almost as if the Battle Zone is its own community, with its own PokeMart, Pokemon Center, and even a few houses scattered about the island. Several things can happen here all at once, so you'd best have a level head if you venture here.
LOCATION -
The Battle Zone - and by proxy, Stark Mountain - is located in northeastern Sinnoh.
PEOPLE -
First, there's the residents of the Battle Zone - workers and civilians alike, they're always happy to lend a helping hand to any wandering Trainer, be it in the form of advice/strategy, or even to tell a story(or two). Then, there's the set of Sinnoh's Frontier Brains - they're rumored to follow a set of rules similar to the rules that Johto's Brains follow. Finally, there's the various Trainers that litter the island - it's best to find every single one of them, if you're looking to take the Frontier challenge here.
RESOURCES/EVENTS/PLACES OF INTEREST -
As stated above, the Battle Zone has its own Pokemon Center and PokeMart. These are usually visited by those who either take the Frontier challenge, or explore the island itself. Needless to say, the PokeMart is stocked with just about anything you could imagine.
MYTH/LORE -
Stark Mountain, which is a ways northeast of the Sinnoh Frontier, is rumored to be the home of the legendary pokemon, Heatran. This Fire/Steel-type is said to reside in the Mountain's deepest recesses, which are known to reach quite hot temperatures...
