Celestic Town
DESCRIPTION -
Celestic Town is a tiny town that preserves the history of Sinnoh and the old ways of life. the center of town has a small shrine that dates back to ancient times. It is one of the smallest towns in the entire region, but despite this, it is also one of the oldest, and some say the town was there since Sinnoh came to be created. The only modern commodity in the town is the Pokemon Center, but an elderly couple run a small shop in their home here.
LOCATION -
Celestic Town is located in central Sinnoh. Two routes converge on the town; Route 210 to the east, and Route 211 to the west.
PEOPLE -
The people here are old fashioned, conveying the preservation of the old ways of life in the town. The former Sinnoh Champion and her family also live here, keeping the town safe as well as preserving the ruins in the town.
RESOURCES/EVENTS/PLACES OF INTEREST -
Pokemon Center: - The only modern commodity in Celestic Town, it is just as pivotal here as in any other town.
Elderly Couple's Shop: - Since there is no Poke Mart here, a nice elderly couple has decided to set up shop in there own home. The wife sells the basic supplies, while the husband is said to give away different types of glasses to trainers.
Celestic Shrine: - In the center of town is a mysterious shrine, the purpose of which seems long forgotten amongst most of the townspeople. Strangely enough, it bears a striking resemblance to the shrine in Ilex Forest, back in the Johto region.
Celestic Ruins: - Just behind the Celestic Shrine is the Celestic Ruin, which depict several legendary Pokemon along the walls inside. Some speculate that the etchings inside represent the three Emotion Pokemon, being Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit, though there are others that believe that they are meant to represent a different trio of legendary Pokemon. The paintings on the outside of the cave entrance represent the beings that control time and space, Dialga and Palkia.
Celestic Town Historical Research Center: - This rather new building sits close to the entrance to the Ruins, where researchers can analyze data and rare artifacts that are found within the Ruins. It is said that the Lustrous Orb was found in the Ruins, and now sits in the Research Center.
MYTH/LORE - There are many myths that originate around the Shrine and Ruins that are housed in the center of town, mainly the stories about the three Emotion Pokemon, the beings of time and space, and the creator of the world itself.
