Pastoria City
DESCRIPTION -
Pastoria City is a large, spread out city, surrounded by vast swampland. The marshland keeps the weather in the city cool all year round, making it a prime place for Water-type Pokemon to live. The city contains the usual Poke Center and Poke Mart combo, along with its own Gym, usually the fourth one recognized in the region. Its biggest attractions are the Great Marsh and the annual Croagunk Festival.
LOCATION -
Pastoria City is located in southern Sinnoh. There are two routes that connect Pastoria with the rest of the region: Route 212 to the west, and Route 213 to the east.
PEOPLE -
The people here are friendly, and usually go about their lives quietly and humbly. When the Croagunk Festival comes around, however, the normally peaceful city folk almost go into a frenzy, celebrating their beloved mascot. There is also the Move Relearner, who aids trainers in reteaching their Pokemon moves that they have forgotten, in exchange for a Heart Scale. Another man of interest is the Scarf Guy, who gives out scarves to trainers who are aiming to participate in the many contests around Sinnoh. It is said that his girlfriend is the Massage Lady in Veilstone City.

Poke Center and Poke Mart: - As with most of Sinnoh's cities, Pastoria features the usual Poke Center/Mart combination that so many trainers are thankful to see.
Pokemon Gym: - The Pastoria Gym is the official gym of Pastoria City, and is usually the fourth encountered by trainers in the Sinnoh region. The Gym Leader is ____, who specializes in the ____-type of Pokemon. Those that defeat him/her earn the ____ Badge.
Croagunk Festival: - The city's greatest tradition is the celebration of its mascot, Croagunk. This annual festival hosts numerous games and competitions, most of which revolve around the Croagunk theme, as one would imagine. Vendors selling items and food also line the area. The most anticipated events in the festival are the Strength and Beauty contests, which people from all over the region enter their beloved Croagunk to compete. The winner is named Champion for the entire year, until the next festival.
The Great Marsh: - The Great Marsh is located in the northern part of the city, and functions as the region's Safari Zone. Trainers come from all over to catch the rare Pokemon that appear here, some of which can only be found in the swamp, including the city's mascot, Croagunk. After paying a modest entry fee, trainers are permitted to roam around the swamp, catching Pokemon until their time is up. The Pokemon that appear in the swamp is also said to change day by day. Trainers can utilize the binoculars in the tower to see what is available each day.
MYTH/LORE -
Other than the fact that the Great Marsh was once part of the sea, there is no real piece of interesting lore about the city.
