Brief story: This takes place in a world where Clowns are not human (but the humans don't know that). There are also a lot of other species that hide themselves among the humans that the humans are unaware of.
For the characters I'd like you to vote and see who you like the best or who's the most interesting. JSYK, I'm not taking suggestions, I want it all to remain my idea and creation. Art critiques are welcome though. You guys would really be helping me out so I hope many people will post. sweatdrop

Name: Pierrot Lyon (Nickname: Lyon)
Status: Protagonist

Personality: Dark, sullen, depressing, negative, troubled
Background: Born from a regular, cheerful Clown family and the Clown Society, Lyon is a boy who wishes he wasn't born a Clown. As long as he had remembered Lyon was always negative, his depressing manner and tone can even force his classmates and parents into a suicide-like state. He has no real friends in school (Clown school), and he wants to go to a regular school and live with humans. ....besides...Clowns are so... lame. =__=;;;

Personality: Cheerful, positive, carefree and kind
Background: His purpose in the story is to be Lyon's opposite. He is the boy that Lyon was supposed to be. But Hiroki also has a bright future as even though he was born human, he is the type of person that can just do anything, (cooking, skiing, sports, card games, so much more and better).

Background: Mitsu is the girl with Coulrophobia, but for some reason she is unafraid of Lyon (I wonder why. xD). Her purpose is to remind the audience of the other type of Clowns, and to be the 'straight man' in the jokes. Even though she is human she also develops an amazing ability that is capable to even humans. Note: Whenever she sees a Clown...well, hell breaks loose. It takes a lot to calm her down...and put down the self defense chainsaw.

Status: Supposedly that 'Emo' guy, rival of Lyon
Species: Mime

Personality: Envious, Outspoken, slightly annoying, cool, strong and brave, has a big ego
Background: Marc comes from a Mime family, but he had a very awful past which led to his parents disowning him. The flaw that Marc has is talking.... all the time. Oxymoron, right? He is very jealous that Lyon is the protagonist of the story and he wants to kill Lyon and take his place. The jokes in the manga between the two would usually be Marc planning and attempting assassinations on Lyon. Marc hates Lyon because Lyon is more 'emo' than him even though Marc has the more depressing past. And even though Marc is far stronger than Lyon is, for some reason Marc could never kill Lyon.

Personality: Harsh, serious, demanding, impatient, hates children
Background: (The side character) Lance escaped from Santa's factory years ago when he was sill a lad. He never wanted to be an elf making toys for snotty brats every year, he wanted to be.... a doctor. (Sounds familiar?) Lance is based off of the character Hermie (Hermey?) from the Christmas shows, the elf that wanted to be a dentist. The purpose of Lance is to introduce another species and to be the guy that heals everyone. Unfortunately for Lance, Santa and his elves are still out to get him and bring him back, so he must always be in hiding. He usually hides out in the Bahamas.

Background: Inue is only a side character, her purpose is to help the group lead to their goals and introduce another species and all that good manga plot crap. She is obviously that one character with big boobs (because we always need one). She is the tooth fairy 'nuff said. Also, Lance Hermey has a big crush on her. lol

Age: Unknown (It's not that I can't decide...it's just that it's unknown. =w= )

Personality: Mysterious, dark, sick sense of humor, eerily cheerful
Background: Lyon and Edgar are alike in many ways.... but Edgar is like the dark side, and he has an interest in Lyon and what the boy could possibly be capable of. The purpose of Edgar is to hold the past. He is the man that knows all and he wants to train Lyon and teach him of their real Clown History, not the PG-crap they learn in Clown School. The group is wary and distrustful of Edgar because they are unsure of whether Edgar is a friend...or a foe...and his weird humor scares them. He especially terrifies Mitsu, since he is the perfect example of the other type of Clowns. Note: He had his awesome hat specially made by the Mad Hatter.

You can't tell the difference between Clowns and Mimes, but I'll be sure to make them as different as possible. I already have an idea on Marc's costume (white gloves, striped french shirt, black pants, coat) lol.
And that's the characters I drew so far. I have a great idea for the antagonist too. So yeah, please give me feedback. Are these good characters? I know Lance is basically the same guy as Hermie but hopefully I won't get sued.
