Landuo had heard rumors of a fairly nasty spirit-something lurking in a wood near the town she was currently visiting, and the one or two stories of disappeared long had made her worried. She was traveling to the wood right now to make sure that nothing bad was lurking and waiting to pounce on an unsuspecting long.
But it was late, and nasty things preferred the night. She should take shelter at the traveler's inn up the road. She entered the inn, which had a tavern as all inns did, and after securing her room she sat about securing her meal. She took a fairly sheltered table in the corner and waited for her pork buns. Instead of focusing on the crowd around her, she closed her eyes and let her senses take over, feeling the spirits of the long in the room and checking for any threats.

Lan Lian was not one for crowds. In fact, she much preferred the solitary life to that of the social life, and it was all because of her silly insecurities. She was afraid of her bright blue face, the feature that had given her her name. She hated how it made her stand out in a crowd, how everyone just seemed to turn to look at her, even if they weren't necessarily nasty glances either. She didn't care, she still didn't like it.
With a huge breath and a sigh, she entered into the inn, keeping her face down and making a b-line for the nearest dark corner. She didn't even notice it was occupied till a wee bit too late. Her dark brownish red eyes blinked up in surprise at the other long. "Oh.... I-i--....forgive me." she said in a soft voice, bowed her head in apology and began to find herself a new dark corner.

As soon as Landuo heard the door open, she turned her senses to check for evil. Finding none, she returned to her silent vigil of the room. That is, until she noticed the presence that came through the door was heading toward her. She cracked an eye in preparation, so she wouldn't be caught by surprise by a long with ill intentions. She could easily sense evil spirits, but it was harder to sense intentions from normal long.
Landuo relaxed as this new long stuttered an apology. She opened her eyes and gave a calming smile.
"It is no trouble at all. If you would like, you could share this table with me. I wouldn't mind at all." It was then that her pork buns arrived. "Ahhh, I would even share my meal if you would like." She picked up a bun and bit into it, closing her eyes once more. She had been as gracious as she could, anything else would be up to this long.
