YT code tags don't work in the guilds. The song's actually better than "Friday" or "My Jeans" and "OMG." I just wish the random rapper would either go away, or have relevant lyrics, not parroting. I'd prefer he go away. Featured rappers never have relevant lyrics regarding the song. The chorus sucks, and while I like her accent, her voice isn't that great. Better than Rebbeca Black's voice, though.

Friday really isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Because, honestly - It's catchy. Something truely terrible would be awkward AND not be catchy in the least - like the house wife video you linked us to. xd

I love buffalax style! Did you know that Buffalax had his channel deleted? Including all of his vids. Multiple copyright infringements. Pah. Fortunately many people saved his vids and re-uploaded them on multiple separate channels!

I think it was that the videos weren't allowed to be posted at all... as in there were no rights for worldwide release... it wasn't that he posted "translations" it was that he posted the videos at all.
Can't really fight it if they don't want their songs posted online at all. :/

Well, maybe so, but the US laws state parody, review and other similar usage are allowed. His videos were all parody, so technically they shouldn't have been removed...

Youtube is global, and the videos he was using weren't from the US, for the most part. He also posted the song in their pure form. It still sucks.
They were really funny. It would be the same as me subtitling a Disney film into, say, Farsi and posting it. Disney would be all over it getting it taken down.

I had a video that had a poster of a show I did (The wizard of Oz) which had the ruby slippers. It got flagged due to property rights. We weren't allowed to use the ruby slippers in our advertising material since the image and concept of ruby slippers is owned by MGM. Even though we were doing the MGM version of the musical. It has to be removed... or at least the image of the slippers has to be.

Actually Disney rarely calls on for copyrights. Viacom... yeah they'll whine. ... And the slippers? If the photo was yours then they have no right. That's like a mangaka whining about fanart; if you don't own it they have no right. asdfghjkl; This copyright stuff is frustrating.
