=No God-modding / controlling other people’s characters. It is considered very rude, and can most often be avoided by just not doing it. Period. Repeated offenses will likely end up with you Banned.
= No one-liners. We understand writers block, but that can be avoided easily by having your character do bodily things, like scratching their head, smoothing their clothes, taking a drink of something, or even staring out the window. Try to play off another's post. If you can write three or four sentences, that’s good enough.
=DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN CHARACTERS! It can as simple as just putting the character’s name before the post, or even adding a color to your post. You can check out HERE for colors.
Post styles will be allowed, but keep them simple.
=Make sure you allow others to respond if you have two characters in the same room. Other people would like to roleplay, and same-creator character conversations are odd and should probably be kept to a minimum.
=Brush up on your grammar! If you have Mozilla Firefox, enable the spellcheck. This will make everyone so happy. If you are using Internet Explorer or another browser, consider typing your posts in Microsoft Word/ Another Word editing software first. It’s not /required/ perse; it’s just considered good etiquette.
=Keep OOC out of the RP threads if possible. We have a THREAD for OOC discussion and chat. And one HERE for the Battlefield's OOC.
=Please keep regular discussion to the main forums. They are there for a reason, so all Advertising/Not-Roleplay or OOC related things please go to those specified forums.
=READ ALL POSTS. Even if it’s three pages, it will give you some sort of grasp on the goings-on before you post. This can help avoid AWKWARD SITUATIONS and give you better insight on the situation.
= Keep the One on Ones to a minimum. Wait for someone else to post to break it up a bit, or make a One on One thread in the subforum. Please do this if the One on Ones spread over a page.
= Unless The Administrator has taken COBRA’s Weather Dominator, PAY ATTENTION to Weather/Date/Time please. If someone says its summer, and your character is outside in the sun for hours with no sunscreen, PLEASE SPORT A SUNBURN. Also, if it’s sunny, please make sure it’s sunny the whole day. If you want it to rain, mention clouds first.
=Be realistic. This is a Team Fortress Two roleplay, so no Anthromorphic characters. (If you want, they are allowed in The White Room ) Also: If your character has a serious health issue, or crippling addiction, they are most likely not going to be allowed into a mercenary group fighting a war. Mental diseases… It depends. Just don’t overdo it, folks. If you’re still keen on the idea, take these into consideration:
-How does it affect the character? Or the team as a whole? Do some research.
-How can your character obtain drugs when they’re in a base isolated in the middle of nowhere with the closest thing nearby being a bar and a Podunk town?
-There are Medical files and the Spies keep dossiers. One of them will eventually find out.
-I know company is kind of loose regarding their recruits, but if someone has a HUGE mental problem or addiction that may otherwise cripple them in combat, it’s likely they wouldn’t recruit them.
=No ‘Perfect Characters’. Everyone has natural flaws, whether it’s freckles, wonky eyes, heterochromia, broken noses, missing a finger/teeth/eyeball. Dark pasts are allowed, but please try and keep the emo and angst to a minimum, or enough to not totally throw off the roleplay. This ties into the mental illness part above as well.
=ROMANCE/BROMANCE: It’s allowed but please take the time to FACILITATE a relationship. No /INSTANT LOVERS/ please. (Disregard it if they two have fostered a relationship prior to the RP.) Also, if your character has awkward sexual preferences, state so in your profile so everyone else isn’t surprised when suddenly- BAM! Your character is a flaming homosexual. (If you want to facilitate a relationship with another players character, let them know and discuss it. Also, informing the GMs would be nice.)
=Boys + Girls = BABIES. So, if you have two guys and they are gay daddies/have kids, please include mentions of a mother, even if it was a surrogate mother. Or alternatively if your character is known to be active or promiscuous, consider mentioning birth control. (Although for the most part, it’s safe to assume everyone’s acting like responsible adults here…)
=Character posts go in the Character Profiles Subforum. Just make a thread. Current Maximum Character Limit is SIX per roleplayer. Their team(s) is up to you. If you plan on using a mule account as well, send a PM to Karlii Alorade or Jeffrey M Roth letting us know who you are. However, making a mule, joining without informing us and making six more characters is a big No-no. Anyone doing that (or caught) will be banned from the Guild on both accounts. (Other than serious trolling, that's the only way you can really get banned from here.)
=Please follow the Gaian TOS.
=Keep in-roleplay lovin’ to PG-13. Take all smut to PM’s or off-site, please. Or even fade to black/run off and hint at it. (It's technically against Gaia's TOS.)
=If you find someone’s in-roleplay behavior to be unacceptable, or they are not following the rules, please notify Karlii Alorade, or if not around, Jeffrey M Roth or Mercurial Anima. Do not attempt to handle the problem; we don’t want fights to break out between roleplayers.
=R.E.S.P.E.C.T. means taking time to gaze over these rules and referring those who need to read them.

Since we are lacking examples of what consists of a good post here, allow me to illuminate you. If it helps, think of writing the post as would a part of a story.
GOOD EXAMPLE:Quote: Martin looked up at the sky. It was a cloudless blue. The sun was high and on his back, casting shadows forth. The sky had brought back an old memory of a summer long ago, spending his days lying in the grass, watching that same blue. Gazing for a few more moments, he turned to his squad mates. “Today is a good day.” This is what we’re looking for here, y’know four or more sentences, decent spelling, etc. OKAY EXAMPLE:Quote: -Looks up at sky and thinks of an old memory- Today is a good day. If you must, then use it here. JUST…NO.Quote: Martinsdfgxvbn v,/ln; b’; xvn kvx]b-*dfklbjmkfk zxczcvcbnfcbgvn . I likcheez Obvious.
