Chp.1 The Auction


"Sold! To the lovely lady in green," said the Auctioneer as he led my avian brethren to his new owner.

The next one up for sale was me. "Our next item up for sale is one of the most beautiful Avains you have ever seen!" As the Auctioneer spoke, the guards led me out for everyone to see. I struggled to get away, but I couldn't, for the collar around my neck prevented me from flying.

"Just look at these beautiful wings, never have any of you seen wings the colors of the night time sky, or eyes this shade of red!"

I stepped on his foot and said, “There maroon you idiot!"

The Auctioneer chuckled, and then said, “She’s feisty too!"

The crowd was silent except for a few who said "she looks far too fragile for the work I need done" ect.

Then I saw him. He had dark red hair, the most beautiful brown eyes, and he looked like he was around my age. Our eyes locked for one second, and all I saw in his eyes was kindness.

He started running though the crowd and up to the Auctioneer, and asked, “Has anyone made a bid on her yet?"

"No, not yet," said the Auctioneer.

"All I have is 50 Lull, will that work?" asked the boy.

"Is anyone willing to bid higher then 50 Lull?"

The crowd stayed silent.

"She's all yours young man," said the Auctioneer, who then looked at me and said, “Goodbye, I'm going to miss your feisty attitude."

The boy helped me down off the stand or stage...... I’m not sure what it is.

He took my hand and lead me through the crowed.

He brought me out of the city, to the forest.

He then turned and looked at me and asked, “Would you like me to take the collar off for you?"

I was full of joy when he asked me if I wanted the collar off. I had a huge smile on my face. He smiled back at and I said, “I take that as a yes."

He then toke the collar off of me. "By the way, my name is Gabriel."

"I'm Dusk." My voice cracked when I said my name! OMG!! I really need something to drink, my throat is killing me!

"Well, it is nice to meet you, Dust." He smiled sweetly at me... I love his smile. "We should probably be getting home, it's going to be getting dark soon."

"Home?"

"You're going to be living with us until we find you’re Clan, but you can stay after we find them, if you want to."

"Who’s we?"

"I'm a member of a rebel group against the government called the Ark Angels."

Great! His a rebel! Okay, I love rebellious boys, but the government! He's going to get killed! Yes, I hate the government and the Whitewings that run it, but there is no way to reverse what they have done to the world.

"We should probably get going then," I said in a herry.

Things in my life are finally starting to get interesting.

Chp. 3 Lycans

Gabriel led Elise and me to a hatch that goes under ground.

We went into, down a flight of stairs, through a hallway, to a door.

Gabriel and Elise stopped at the door.

The door opened and a girl come running through it and ran into Gabriel and knocked him over.

“OMG! Gabriel, it awful, there's blood everywhere!” She was freaking out, man I've never seen someone so freaked in my life!

“Alice, calm down! Now, tell me what happened,” he tried to calm her down by grabbing her arms, but quickly removed his right hand, to find it covered in blood.

“Jacky's hart, Luke is angry at me and Jacky got hart because of it!”

That's when I noticed the cat ears and tail, she's a Werecat!

“Damn it, Luke!” Holy s**t, Gabriel pissed!

He took out a gun and opened the door.

Alice grabbed him by the shirt, and had a sad look on her face. “You're not going to kill him, are you?”


“No, Alice, I won't kill him. I have the gun set to stun, it should be enough to knock him out for awhile.”

We all fallowed him through the door to find a Werewolf, fully phased, and a female Werewolf, lying on the floor, naked and bleeding.

Okay, the reason she was naked, was because she was once fully phased, and when a Werecat or Werewolf is fully phased their clothes are torn off of them.

When the Werewolf saw Alice, it attacked her.

I jumped in front of her to shield her from the attack.

OMG!! It's claws tor off my clothes, I'm naked, just like the girl on the floor!

I was pissed, so I grabbed the Werewolf by its throat, and then hit a pressure point so hard, that he passed out and fell to the ground.

“Dusk, are you al....” Gabriel froze when he saw me. His noise was bleeding and he started twitching.

“What's wrong Gabriel...” Alice also froze when she saw. “I'll go get you something to wear,” she said to me then ran off.

“El...Elise... cou... could y.... you... please take ca..care of Jacky,” Gabriel stuttered as he spoke.

“Of course, Gabriel,” Elise started tending to girl's wounds, and Alice came back with a dress for me to wear.

When I finished putting the dress on, the Werewolf girl was back on her feet, with a blanket to cover her up.

“Damn it, why does Luke have to be such an a**!!” She yelled out in rage.

“Jacky, please calm down, it’s my fault, the vase broke because of me, and that vase was one of the few things he has left from his home.”

“No Alice, Mad Hatter was the one that broke the vase, not you.”

“But he's my cat and I won't let Luke kill him!”

At that moment, 3 cats came up to me. I got on my knees and started petting them. They were all dressed up. One was a male with a top hat that had holes cut in it for the ears, the next one was also male, but he had on a ribbon with bells on it around his neck, and the last one had one big red bow around its neck, and it was female.

“You three are so cute,” I said as I petted them.

“Mad Hatter, come here,” said Alice.

The cat with the top hat ran to her. Alice picked him, took off his hat, and then started petting him.

Gabriel even started to pet him on the head, and said, “Hatter, you need to stop being such a bad boy, we don't need anything happening to you, Saki, or Cheshire.”

“Isn't that the name of the cat from Alice in Wonder Land?” I asked him.

“Its Alice's favorite book,” Gabriel, Jacky and Elise said at the same time, and then started laughing.

Wow, her name is Alice and her fave book is Alice in wonder Land!

“That’s not my fave anymore, my new fave is Romeo and Juliet” said Alice.

“I thought Gabriel was the only one here that likes to read romance,” said Jacky.

“That isn't what I meant when I said I like to read romance, Jacky, I was talking about books like LaMort De Arthur, so shat the ******** up!”

Okay, its time I for me to tell you about Lycans. There are many different kinds of Lycans, but the most common ones are the Werecats, and Werewolves.

Werecats are extremely short tempered, Werewolves are too, but they’re not as bad as the Werecats.

Alice though, is different from other Werecats, cuz if she was like normal Werecats, Luke would be dead.

“So, what are you guys going to do about him?” I pointed at Luke.

“Alice, go get Mike,” Gabriel said to Alice.

Alice ran down a hallway, then knocked on a door. “Mike, we need you to put Luke in the cell, please.”

I heard the door open, then a deep male voice speak to Alice.

He walked out of the room he was in, through the hallway and stopped next to Gabriel.

OMG!! He’s also a Werewolf.

“Hi, Mike,” said Gabriel.

“Yes I am,” said Mike back to Gabriel.

Alice started laughing. “How's life treating you?” she said while still laughing.

“Like s**t, now where is that basterd, Luke at?” Mike then spotted Luke lying on the ground, then grabbed him by the tail and dragging him to a large metal door, opened it , then through him in. “You guys should go to bed, it’s getting late,” he said to us as he walked back out of the hallway, “Gabriel, Mark’s old bed should work for the Avian High Priestess.”

“You’re a High Priestess, Dusk?” ask Gabriel.

“No! I’m no High Priestess, at least not yet, I’m still in training!” Now how in the hell did Mike know about the High Priestess thing?! Well I guess I’ll get that info out of him tomorrow.

After that was over, we all went to bed, and guess what, the bed I was going to be sleeping is in Gabriel’s room!

Man, I’m going to be sleeping good tonight!
