The public collapsed after a news reported leaked a top secret file to the public. A month later the reporter mysteriously vanished. The file i about a strain of desease in which becamethe basis of the Zombie epidemic. At first, the outbreak is easily controlled, the government simply captured everyone sick with any sort of desease and locked them up. Most people were outraged by this where others merely wanted to survive, and survival meant not being infected.

The government sent out troops to round up every citizen unneffected by the desease. Citizens all over the United States were rounded up and captured. Any person with any form of desease, whether it be Cancer, AIDS, HIV, or even just a cold, were left outside of the strongholds that were created to house the ones that the government decided to save. the 'perfect' citizens.

Strongholds, all over, have been broken. Some by zombies, others by rebelling outsiders. A couple even have become infected themselves. Infection ranges everywhere. The few that have survived are those with some sort of ailment. Countries everywhere are denying any contact with the United States and both Canada and Mexico have put up walls to keep Americans out. People who are seen attempting to climb the walls are killed. There is no mercy from any outside source. This forces those few humans left to scavange for their every need. The concept of taking the US back is long gone from everyones mind.
