The Triggs' home is a rather simple, small, and otherwise normal house, if not a little on the distasteful side - which is just as the owner wants it to be. It's more likely to be walked by than even glanced at, with no exception with the interior. The living room is rather simple, only a single couch, small TV, a coffee table, and a lamp or two. The kitchen is right beside it in a similiarly simple style - mostly because it's hardly used. The bedrooms are just behind that, with a bathroom inbetween the two rooms. The left will lead to Ed and Vi's room, which is normally quite clean, if not empty - aside from the beds and lights, that is. The right is Kip's room - not that it's any better.

"Is this it?" asked the girl as they came close to the home. It looked... rather small. While Rune hugged her stuffed animal, she couldn't help but think the place looked a little different. It was all right... but it didn't feel that homey like all the other homes. That probably didn't matter though. She looked up at Ed, waiting for an answer. However the girl was quickly distracted to look around the land again, this time something catching her attention. 'The lion thingies!' For a moment the name slipped her mind, but once the girl was bending over to get the flower it came to her. "You have... li...li... dandelions!" she said happily before taking one from it's pair. Rune turned to face Ed with a smile, right before blowing into the flower making the little seeds scatter about. That little smile was replaced by a sneeze though. Dang it for bringing it so close to her nose. Still she couldn't but laugh a bit afterwards. The seeds looked so cool in the air like that.

“Yeah,” Ed replied when they reached the simple home, having stopped infront of it to point out the fence and inform the girl that, indeed, it was a fence. A white one. Nope, they didn't paint it; it just was like that when they got it. Once he was assured she knew that as fact, he had turned back to the home and heard her statement. He had his hand up and pointing at the building so she knew for sure that she had the home right – when the girl ran off! He raised his brows in surprise and swerved around to find her crouching around a patch of their own flowers. Oh.. Dandelions.. He nodded when she finally got the name. It was weird to hear someone else point out the truths of the world like that – he didn't dislike it or was particularly fond of it, but it was still.. strange. “They are. I didn't plant them, so they're homeless.” That's the word for when you lived on your own, right? Ed was pretty sure. “Do you want to come inside?” He asked after a second of watching the flowers and, then, her. So strange to have someone new over! He wasn't sure what to do.

They were homeless? "No... they're yours. I think..." said the girl, tilting her head in slight confusion as she looked at the flowers. Was she even sure what homeless meant? Not really, but the girl figured if it was on at house then it was his. "Ah yeah" nodded Rune, distracted soon enough by the idea of going to inside. She wondered for a moment who lived there. Where there more kids? "You have a brother? Or sister?" Rune had Wilhelm but... Wil didn't really like her that much.

Ed shook his head at the girl as she went against him, frowning at it, “No, I'm sharing Dad's dirt, but they're not mine. They're homeless.” He knew what he was talking about! It was his house, after all, so why wouldn't he? Rune was just a guest – who wanted to go inside his home! His frown softened and he took her hand, tugging her towards the house since he wanted to make sure everyone knew that he had let her in. The door, of course, was unlocked, so Ed just had to reach up and turn the knob – but, he paused when Rune asked him that. “I don't have a brother; I have a sister. Her name is Vi.” He informed her just before he pushed the door open and lead her into the living room, where none other than Kip was sitting, a spread of cards on the table with a lit cigarette resting on the ash tray.
He looked up from where he sat, his hand on a card while he stared at the white-haired child to enter the room. Ed was nothing; he had already seen him before – hell, it was his kid. But, the girl.. That was new. “..Who's that?” He said while he fetched his cigarette, tapping it against the ash tray before bringing it to his mouth, “Ed.”
The boy looked at his dad to Rune, then back at Kip. “A girl. She followed me.” Well, it was true, right?
..But, Kip didn't really buy it with a glance at their linked hands. He snorted, “Follow or 'lead'?” Ed frowned and dropped her hand, seeming uncomfortable at his father's stare. After a moment, Kip shrugged and looked back to his cards. “Don't matter. What's your name?” He raised his voice at the end there, directing it towards the little girl. For a kid, she was cute, but, Kip was never fond of children. Expensive, whiny, and utterly useless. Asked too many questions and couldn't answer any themselves.. Annoying.
Speaking of annoying, Ed opened his trap at the question, eager to give the man an answer. He loved knowing things and, on the off chance he would get some form of praise, he especially loved letting his dad know that he knew something. It was in these moments that he forgot dad wasn't his mom and, thus, made that an impossibility. Oh, well, youth. “Her name is R-”
“I asked her.” He cut in with a harsh look to the child, who shut up the second he met eyes. It was odd that he now started to regret letting go of Rune's hand. Having it would be nice right then.. “So?” Kip looked at Rune expectantly. She appeared to be Ed's height, maybe a little shorter, so she ought to be old enough to answer for herself. If not, then she was an idiot and he'd just kick her out. It's not like she would be able to tell people he kicked her if she couldn't answer something as simple as this, after all.

...No they were not... Again Rune's mind was sure those flowers were his but... if he said so. She'd just say it before she left. The girl took a hold of the boy's hand when he did, being led into the house. A sister? Cool! Rune wondered what it'd be like to have one, after all she only had Will... and he was... Will...
Going inside, well it looked prettier on the outside. Rune coughed slightly, not used to that smell of cigarette at all. She shut up quick enough when she saw the man there. He was... he was a bit scary actually. The girl hadn't move from her spot next to Ed, but wasn't happy he let go of her hand, especially with how the man was looking at them. At the question she looked up at the male wondering if to speak up. Ed seemed to almost do so, but he didn't let him. Which made him that much scarier. "..." Oh it was to her! "...I'm Rune..." said the girl, holding tightly to the poor stuffed animal that was dragged over here. Rune didn't like this, maybe he'd let them go back outside, where he wouldn't keep looking at them like that.

At the girl's hesitance, Kip looked back to his game without much thought. It was just a little girl, no one to pay attention to. The child would play for a short time, go home, and then he would talk to Ed about letting children into his home. Ed probably thought the rules were the same from before they moved, but, with dad at home and mommy out of the picture – they were under his complete rule. And the current ruler wasn't taking to dealing with the neighbor's kids running amok in his home. However, when the child proved herself not to be the deaf mute he was pegging her as, every one of those thoughts were wiped clean as a small cog turned in his head. Rune. He looked over at her. Blue eyes. White hair. She looked to be a lost lamb in his den, an image he remembered quite well.
A wry smile spread and he spoke up in a much friendlier tone than before, “Cute name, Rune.” He said her name carefully, letting every vowel sink in as though he were tasting it rather than saying it. “Come here.” He motioned them towards him as Ed peered at him curiously, “Both of you.” Kip clarified with a shake of his head. Stupid kid.
Ed hopped to it after his father said that, looking at Rune and grabbing her hand to force her forward too – but more in an eager way than a harsh one. He didn't want to keep his dad waiting, not when he hardly ever approved of a friend like this. It was weird and, honestly, he was curious as to what his father would do. So, without much thought, he dragged her off to the coffee table and stopped there, but kept a hold of her hand in memory of his previous regret. Kip hardly paid attention to that as he swept a hand over his cards, pulling them back into one stack again while he spoke casually. “You ever play cards, Rune? Could use a new player.”

Her name was cute? That immediately perked the girl up. The change in the male was much better than being stared to death! Hey, she was even called over to him. Though Ed did the work of dragging her over there, not that she minded. Rune looked over the table curiously, her hands quite busy, one holding onto Ed, the other to her stuffed animal. Oh didn't Blaire have one of those decks? She didn't get to play but she remembered the colors and-Oh! They were in grandpa's computer too! He always lost but the game was complicated according to him... Never mind that he was old... He just said it was complicated. "...Some memory game Mom and Aunty did... I can try! What do you play?" There went the shyness, and in went the curiosity. Blaire was only trying to learn poker, so when Rune popped up that day to ask her what she was doing, the memory game came up.

Kip raised a brow – memory game? Her? ...Sounded like something she would do. He shook his head with a snort; such a kid. ..Then again, here he was, playing card games with children.. He took a slow drag on his cigarette while he let the child wait, holding the freshly shuffled deck in one hand while he stared between the children. He exhaled the smoke softly in an unhurried fashion and set the deck back down, slapping his hand over it so the kids didn't try to grab at them. Always thought they owned the world. Ed had looked at Rune when she asked that, his mouth partly open as he considered answering her because he just loved to do that – when he inhaled a cloud of that smoke Kip breathed out. The little boy had a hand to his chest, another to his throat as he hacked on the smoke, his eyes watering slightly. Kip didn't pay him much mind as he looked at Rune, “Poker.”
It was uncertain how much time had passed after he said that word, but it was spent with him briefly explaining the game and glaring at the children any time either of them needed him to repeat something. He had always started a speech on a part of the game with a firm no repeating law that he wasn't going to break for some soft-brained morons, no matter the age. Ed had learned pretty quick to get used to this style of being taught and, so, had sat through it with attentive eyes and ears on his father, quiet as a mouse beside Rune. Not that he needed to hear this again – he had been taught poker before. But, it was always best to listen. It made his father happy to see him listening and, above all else, Ed liked it best when his father seemed happy. It meant he didn't have the risk of sleeping in the backyard in his tent again with Vi and, sometimes, he would be allowed to sit in the same room as the man with no complaints or looks. Yes, a happy Kip basically ignored him, but it was better than getting his attention.
It soon came that his father had stopped talking, however, as he looked at the clock. His second cigarette burning away in his hand without a single puff having been taken on it since he lit it. Nah, he just liked the smoke and the occasional twitches the children gave with the smoke. He leaned forward and pulled the ash tray closer to him, twisting it out, though, “..We're through. Ed, feed Vi.” Baby always slept through her feeding times and he wouldn't have a starving infant in his house for the practical reasons, of course. Ed nodded and stood up, taking a look at Rune with a small frown before he walked off to the back of the house for his sister. Kip looked at Rune, “Walk to your house. I'm following.” No questions were needed – or allowed, as his hard eyes and flat expression told.

Uh oh... We were back to scary... and the smoke wasn't helping. She coughed enough, way too busy disliking the smell to even consider checking the cards in the table. Her eyes focused on him once he spoke. Poker? What was that? Soon enough she'd learn, but she was confused at the moment. Though after his words on no repeating and to listen up, she did just that. Sure the kid lost track a few times, but Kip's look was scary enough to keep her from asking anyways.
After a while though, it could be said the girl caught on. She was actually a bit excited about it, smiling enough at the thought of playing a new game. Hey! If Blaire still didn't know maybe she could play and teach her or something! Cool! Ah? Time to go? Rune looked up at Kip for a moment, right after waving off Ed with a soft "Bye Ed." So it was time to go... well... "Okay... It's, um... this way" nodded the girl. She stayed still for a small moment, not liking that look... actually she wasn't liking any look for Kip, except when he wasn't smiling. Once Rune got herself together she turned around and headed for the door, grabbing her stuffed animal first, making her way out and back home.

Next up was another pair of siblings that Daffodil still didn't know very well. She never knew what to do when there were new children in town! For these two, she had another set of pet rocks -- dressed up with deceptive, colorful cloth, tied with a large bow. Her gifts in tow, she flew into the Triggs household, buzzing around the living room for a moment. It certainly was small, wasn't it, this house. Nothing like the other houses on the island that she had visited. For a moment she wondered if Ed and Vi even had that much to play with, but that was a silly thought, she was bringing them two excellent toys! ...Now, it seemed like a rock would be a weird thing to give a baby, but that's why, upon unwrapping the gift, one would find that the rock had been polished quite a bit. Oh, the hours (or what felt like it) Daffodil had spent cleaning it! Everyone knows that babies like to put things in their mouths, and she wanted to make sure that Vi didn't hurt herself. And so, she moved into the children's room, setting the two gifts on the dresser before taking her leave. If only she weren't so busy, she could stick around to see their reactions. But tonight, she had too much to do, and so without another thought, she was gone.

Oh, herself! This was the worst of all her followers! She wanted to just burn his house down, but that was more Carnation’s area than hers and Goddess prevent that people confused the two of them. Chrysanthemum was refined, beautiful, distinguished! Carnation was ugly as a ******** and stupid as a duck. The less she had in common with the fire fairy, the better she was. Still, she hated that Kip Trigg so much that she didn’t even bother to stop to give him his “gift” and his letter, choosing to simply throw them on his doorstep as she was flying by with her hummingbird. The rather large bag (10$ in pennies…of a foreign currency worth less than what was used on Nirvani) broke the living room window, but she couldn’t care much of that. Any good follower should have enough money to repair any cheap windows of theirs, after all.
”Kip Trigg, how a failure such as you got to be under my protection still escapes me. You have no job, make no efforts into getting one, don’t try to get yourself a spouse that would pay for your expences or anything at all. Even worst, you went and got yourself 2 more mouths to fed. How do you expect to stay alive with that? Maybe you should think of eating them instead of buying groceries? At least it would make you save some money…. Do not even dare to come ask for my pity until you have a proper income and something worthy to offer me. Also, you can always leave the island.
