History: Lyra grew up in a small town just outside of Oxford with her mother and father. She had few friends at school and a single pet, a black cat. Her life was fine, parents middle class. At the young age of seven, Lyra’s mother was violently stabbed to death in alley way while walking home, which completely turned her life upside down. That was when her mutations began. Weird thing seemed to happen around her, especially when she got in a bad mood (which seemed to be a lot after her mother’s death). She stopped communicating with her friends, and occasionally spoke to her father. After a while, because she still didn’t understand her mutation, she learnt of other mutants. Her father wasn’t too disturbed by the news of her being a mutant, simply acknowledging it and moving on. Over the next nine years, her powers grew more controllable, until she was able to control what they did most of the time, and could do more diverse things with her abilties (after all this time, she still can’t control them when she’s furious). However, she still disliked being around non-mutants, feeling that they didn’t really understand how she felt. Because of this, her father searched for a place that would be right for her, and thus stumbled upon the Le Fey Academy – a school for mutants, like Lyra. Feeling that it would be best for her to switch as quickly as possible, Lyra was enrolled almost immediately.
Personality Quirks: Can be cold and distant, but dislikes being alone (even though she’d never admit to it). Doesn’t like humans too much. May overreact.
Mutations: Possesses the powers of telekinesis and flight.
Physical Markings: None, but wants a tattoo. Or three.
Appearance: Selena Gomez – Actress/singer
Played By: Kat the Strange
Notes:
- Her powers are similar to that of Jean Grey's, only on a slightly smaller scale. After seven years, she has nearly complete control, but not quite yet. She can make half-durable shields. She can push and pull the objects around her and make them float in mid-air. She can make an attack by either thinking about it or acting it out. She can also pull apart objects, e.g. guns and electronic equipment. If she focuses for long enough, she can move objects from further away, or things closed off to her, such as something inside a fridge. Lately, she's been attempting to put up mental blocks, but it's not working too well. She can, however, feel when someone - or something - is poking around inside her head.
