Pfft. The book that started it all ;D Actually, I'd love to read it again, if I had it in my possession. It was a great start, and it only kept getting better~
It's been so long though...my. Two or three years ago I picked it up. Anyone have a favorite part or memory from it?

I like when horace stood up for will against the bullies even thought horace was on the verge of passing out, then halt came in and of course he won the fight, but still it was an important part and showed that even bullies have some heart.

I can't read the tenth because I never have time with all my finals and crap. when I read a book, I start and finish it nonstop.... unless i have to pee REEEEEEEEEEEEALLY bad.

im doing that after dinner tonight, i just like to have no disractions an i get tired after gym and listening to my grandma, i used to be able to read 3 300 page books in a night, now i can barely read 2.

I found it interesting that he added mythical creatures like wargals and the kalkara in the first two books and then dove completely out of the fantasy Lord of the Rings like boogie-men into a more realistic world.

i remember when i first read it.
when i first bought it, however, was when i was in like fourth grade but i didnt read it til about sixth grade.
when it came to the part at Will's watch near the end and he began seeing things kept me up all night.

first read it as a freshman in high school captivated me. It was simple, but very well written with atypical characters that are very believable. Had a very historical air, but wasn't all smash and bash warmongering. there is a lot of strategy involved.
