If said thread will be used later, then why not? If you think it'll be a one time thing, though, I'd use an existing thread. Even if the entrance doesn't happen in a thread, you can still describe what happens in the first thread in which she'll appear, then maybe talk about how she gets there. If you'd rather use a new thread, though, let me know where you want her to appear first and I'll come up with something that fits.

xp Eh, Figured it'd be a flashy introduction involving the ship crashing. As for if it warrants a thread or not, eh all depends on your ideas for the plot. Would a crashed spaceship of unknown design laying around supposedly needing anywhere between three and ten years to self repair be useful, a hindrance? or just captured by the other side?
I figure size-wise it'd make a mess of wherever it 'lands'

As long as the ship doesn't land in a populated area, then it wouldn't be a problem. And the enemy are really into something more closely related to magic, so they wouldn't know what to do with a spaceship.
I would use the Ashen Mountain thread. If it crashes in the foothills of the south side of the mountains, then it wouldn't require a new thread, but it'd still be out of the way and close enough that the character could easily get to and from the ship. Everything on the northern side of the mountains and further north, it could be a hindrance.

Okie doke!
That makes me think of something. It may be a good idea to draw a map of Landing. That way one doesn't have to piece together the country based on the references in the threads. And maybe throw it up on the guild home page.

Sounds like a good idea. Gotta remember to fish out either my own doodle, or figure out a good design for the ship pre / post crash
