Several hundred years ago, in the land now known as Bravise, The land was ruled by the Korinthian lineage, with the older brother ruling in the North, and the younger governing the South. Stretched throughout their kingdoms was a forest that weaved and expanded in a vast area. For a while, the people of the two Kingdoms lived peacefully with the forest-dwellers, and with the exception of occasional invasions from the mountains, there was no bloodshed.
Then, when the father of the Kings, Tybalt Korinth IV, finally died, it was revealed to both Kings that the Spirit of the Forest could grant them the power to defeat the tribes to the northeast. The older brother, Lydral Korinth, began to move his forces into the forest, searching for the Forest Spirit. The younger brother, Jason Korinth, began to aid his brother in searching for the Forest Spirit, as they had both been victims of the viking raids.

The forest dwellers had to fight back as best they could against the strength of the two kingdoms. While the constantly looming threat of viking attacks hovered overhead.

Brief History: Kiora's father was a traveling actor and her mother was one of his dancing elf gypsies. While her mother's freedom was questionable, Kiora and her many siblings were raised as freedmen and women, learning song, dance, skills of theft, and magic from older members of the troupe as well as other tricks. At 16 the young bard set out with her stallion, Hadrian, and her hawk, David, to make her own fortune and seek her own adventures.
