Red Ridge Apartments
The Red Ridge Apartments sets outside the hopping night life of Las Vegas, more out towards the deserted desert. It can’t really be called much of an apartment complex with only twenty rooms to rent.

X++++++++++++++++Samantha made her way into her apartment, the last in the complex--which was a long row of small hotel like rooms--hey it was cheep on rent for Las Vegas. The first room was the ‘living room slash kitchen, which was big at 20x20, but them maybe that was because the rest of the apartment was so small. It was decorated scarcely in dirt reds and dusty browns with little actual decorations. With one small TV that set on a stool in front of a well used dust colored love seat couch.
With a sigh Sam directed her new ‘guest’ to her love seat. He was bigger than it, which wasn’t hard she didn’t even fit in the thing to lay down, but there was no way in hell she’d let him have her bed--she wasn’t that charitable.++++++++++++++++

Hidden behind this emerald gaze….
 +++++++++ William noted how small the place was but with this being charity he had no right to be picky. He let out a heavy sigh through the pants of breathlessnes as Samantha set him on the tiny love seat. His head fell backwards and his eyelids shut as he sprawled out to get has comfortable as one could try to get with his height and the size of the love seat. "Thank you," he mumbled before losing consiousness. His body was forcing him to rest to have time to clean out his system from the foolish meal he ate. Why were humans so bent on destroying the bodies with unhealthy chemicals. Such thoughts circled William's mind as his stomach swirled as if it might heave itself up and out once more. +++++++++

X++++++++++++++++Sam sighed as the guy passed out on the couch. Well great she brought a strange guy off the street into her apartment, well it wasn’t like the shifter couldn’t handle herself. After all she was a member of the blacktail tiger clan. But still it was a dumb move. Letting out another sigh Sam set to straitening up the place after turning the ceiling fan on.
About eight hours later she returned from running out to get supplies and began fixing dinner. It was odd trying to cook for two since she was so used to cooking for her self over the last few months. Not long after she started the scent of half raw liver and cooking hamburger meat filled the little apartment. Of course the raw liver was for her, she was a tiger after all.

+++++++++ Gradually Willam was pulled from his reverie as the smell of raw meat inflitrated his nostrils. The smell reminded him of the sweet scent of blood and he found it hard not to awaken with that in the air. his eyelids flicker a few times before finally opening, the pale green color of his gaze more vibrant than earlier. It was obvious the rest had did him well, but now another problem presented itself for William. He had heaved most of his meal on the Vegas streets, and now he was hungry. Slowly he pushed himself up into a sitting position; giving the girl's apartment a better once over than the one he had done when he had first been dragged there. William clenched and unclenched his fist. He didn't want to be rude after Samantha's generosity, but his canines were beginning to ache. He stared intensly at Samantha; his gaze lingering on her neck. William mutters a few unaudible words to chastize himself, before breaking his gaze away from the pulse in her neck. He needed to keep control for both their sakes. +++++++++

X++++++++++++++++Sam continued to cook the meat, her thick western style coat was off hung on the wall next to the door. Her well formed arms were left bare, long and well muscled each had black stripes in a tiger like pattern all the way down over her hands, the back of her neck was also covered in the stripes, and if one where to look more into it they’d find the whole of her body like that. It wasn’t normal for a shifter to get tattooed like that, but Sam wasn’t part of a normal pack and the tribal markings of her animal were considered beautiful and dangerous. Any shifter that could stand the pain to imprint their body with their animal form was considered a warrior of the fiercest kind.

+++++++++ William watched Samantha unable to remove his gaze from the girl. Deep in the back of his mind he was considering his options. He could take advantage of her distracted attention and gorge himself upon her. It was obvious she took care of herself. or he could give her his thanks and quickly leave. Find some other unforunate soul on the streets and dig his aching canines into their flesh. William ran his fingers through the onyx mess on top his head as he shoke it. Why the hell was he over thinking this; as Deai once told him 'the world is full of fools who don't get that it's cruel'...and the words were all to true. William closes his eyes a few seconds than when he opens them he is once again calm. He pulls himself into a standing position as silent as a cobra in the brush. William was preparing to strike, as he shifted his weight to conceal the sound of his footsteps for when he'd approached Samantha. His silk shirt ruffling only the slightest bit with his liquid like movements. (rolling to move close behind Samantha without her becoming aware.) William heads toward Samantha in the kitchen, the silence in his footsteps hindered unbeknownst to him by his hesitation. +++++++++

+++++++++ William slowly reached for Samantha, only a slight quiver could be seen within his hand as it rose toward her shoulder. The throbbing pain of his canines had already made them enlongate, his emerald gaze clouding into a deep crimson with his blood lust. "Samantha, was it?," he purred under his breathe as he tried to entangle his fingers in her hair. (Rolling to grab Samantha by the hair.) Feeling the soft silkiness of her hair against his skin William tightens his grip. He knew there could be a struggle so he wanted to have a good hold on her. +++++++++

Startled Samantha flung her arm out, trying to hit him in the neck but instead only hitting air, and when she tried the old fashioned attempt to pull away she only succeeded in pulling her hair painfully enough that a grunt left the tigresses throat.++++++++++++++++

+++++++++ William shakes his head vigorously before forcing himself to let Samantha go. He stumbles back away nearly throwing himself from her to keep from grasping Samantha again. Tears welled up in his bloodshot crimson eyes. He couldn't do it. He knew he needed to feed, but he couldn't bring himself to do so on this girl who had been so kind to help him. With a scream of fury William dropped to his knees utterly defeated. Silence washed over him as he wrapped his arms around himself; rocking back and forth through his shuddering. +++++++++

X++++++++++++++++Samantha spun to stare at William, eyes flashing slits as her blood raced. Her skin tingled and rippled a little as her form itched to free itself of its human bond and free itself to its animal form. She sniffed the air instinctively.
(Rolling to smell out that he’s vampire)
Growling Sam stepped back, the smell of vampire easing only some of her fears but heightening others. “so you’re a vampire, great can’t believe I missed that.” Taking another step back Sam flashed him her Night World bracelet, which held the black flow of her race ‘shape shifter’ on it.
(P.S. In this version, vampires don’t get hungry or thirsty, blood transfers oxygen because vampire blood can’t hold it. So when a vampire hasn’t feed for a while they start to suffocate. Like when someone is drowning.)

+++++++++ William's eyes darted toward Samantha focusing on her bracelet as she flashed it to him; a slight frown starting to tug at his brow. He was feeling the same about Samantha himself but the tone in her words made it seem as if it was his fault. Yet now was not the time to grow defensive; after all he did just tried to attack her. William remained on his knees his new knowlegde of his host making him just that much aware that he needed to get back in her good graces. "I am," William replied as he finally found his voice to respond. He hoped that Samantha wouldn't hold it against him, but he wasn't sure. Either way he was prepared for the worst. +++++++++

X++++++++++++++++Sam scowled, she hated vampires--well not hated but severally disliked them. They all thought they were higher on the food chain than the shifters, racist monsters that treated shifters like second class. But this one looked like he might be in trouble, she knew the ramifications of a blood starved vampire left untended. If he didn’t kill her, he’d probably go after someone else once the suffocation got to him which didn’t seem to be far off from what she could tell. And she didn’t have any blood bags for him. Great just great. “How long do you think you can hold out without blood?”++++++++++++++++
