Chapter 3 New Friends

“Okay this is it!” said Ania as her and Luna walked into their room. “This is your bed and this is your dresser. The bathroom is over here and over there is the closet. I made sure that there were more clothes hangers for your arrival.” Luna was surprised when she stepped into their closet. I was about five meters deep and six meters wide. In the middle there was a bench and the back wall had a curtain. “Wow!” said Luna is a loud amazed voice. “Trust me I know. That is why I always come here a week before school starts. The people who are here first get to say what room they would like and they almost always get it. I’m just happy that Monica and her puppets didn’t get it.” Luna was confused. Luna didn’t know who this Monica was or what she meant to Ania. “Um… Well this room looks big enough for three maybe even four! Do you always get this room?” Ania giggled and nodded. “Yes, I always get this room, and I make sure those stupid brats don’t!” There was the slightest bit of evil in Ania’s eyes. Luna pretended not to notice.

When the girls were done unpacking Luna’s things, they took a walk around the school. “First up the main building! Let’s go!” Ania grabbed Luna’s hand and started to run pulling Luna behind her. They stopped in front of a very tall and wide building. It had many windows and looked a bit old. The front door was a solid brown, wooden door with a gold handle. The window frames were a type of bronze metal and the windows looked brand new!

“New windows?” asked Luna in a curious voice. “Yes. We get them every year because of this boy named Max. His parents send him here and donate money to the school.” They had both stopped in front of the wooden door and turned around to find a group of boys that had cornered a kitten and . “Well aren’t those boys a bunch of garbage!” Luna started to walk towards them quickly trying to keep herself under control. “HEY! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING?!?” Luna ran over to the boys and in one swift leg sweep, one of the boys were on the ground. Luna put her hands up and got into a fighting stance.

The boys took that as a challenge. One boy rushed at her and threw a punch. Luna quickly grabbed his arm, jerked him towards her body, bent down so that the boys stomach was on her shoulder, then jerked up throwing him over her shoulder and onto the other boy that was trying to attack her from behind. “Wow! Luna your amazing! Where did you learn to fight like that?” Luna walked over and picked up the kitten. Luna then started to pet the kitten to try and comfort the frightened thing. “You should be ashamed. If I catch you three doing something like that again you’ll really get hurt!” Luna walked back to Ania and didn’t answer her question.

By the time they had finished visiting the three story building and the gym, it was lunch. They went down to the basement where the cafeteria is and went to get a tray. By this time the kitten that Luna had saved had been following her everywhere since. When they sat down at a table with their food, Ania introduced her to a bunch of people that she didn’t know. “Everyone this is Luna. She’s the new girl. By the way,” Ania leaned in close to everyone else but Luna, “She kicks butt in a fight. Don’t mess with her!” Ania sat back laughing loudly. “Man you guys should have seen her. She took on three guys all by herself to save this kitten!” Ania picked up the kitten and showed everyone at the table, then placed the kitten back on Luna’s lap. “Wow really?!?” one boy said in amazement. “That’s insane!” said a girl sitting next to another boy. “Um… May I ask everyone’s name?” Luna because very shy. She never really talked to many people. She only ever hung out with Daisuke.

One boy stuck out his hand for Luna to shake. “Hi, my name is Jesse.” Jesse had a very warm smile. He had short blonde and red hair that made it just below his ears. His eyes were a dark mystery blue with a pale gray ring around the edges that made you think of an eclipse. He was wearing the schools uniform, a grey jacket type blouse that covered his white undershirt and had a red tie that was loose around his neck. His skin had a nice soft tan from being out under the sun. Luna shook the boy’s hand with her famous smile.

The girl sitting next to him waved and said “Hi, my name is Coco, nice to meet you Luna!” She wore the same thing as Luna but without her hair tied up. Her hair hung loose down to her elbows and it was a nice gold like colour. Her eyes were an ocean blue and had bits of green flittered into the blue. Her skin was a nice tone of white. Her lips were very thin and as red as a rose and her teeth were very white. Luna couldn’t help but wave back, and when she did she also flashed one of her famous smiles.

The boy that was sitting next to Ania looked very shy. His head was down and he was poking at his sandwich. He had short black hair that went half way down his ears. His eyes were a pale blue green colour. He was wearing the school uniform and had a nice bronze skin tone. When he looked up at Luna, he smiled as his cheeks went a light pink. His arms were very skinny and he didn’t look like the boy dose many sports. “Who are you?” Luna asked in a friendly way. “M-my name is Sal.” “Nice to meet you Sal,” said Luna in a friendly tone. All of Luna’s new friends talked with her asking her a bunch of questions about where she came from and how her house looked.

When that was over Ania and Luna waved good-bye and went on with the tour. Ania showed Luna around the boys’ dorm and then the girls. They looked the same with a few changes. Then they headed out for the stable. When they were about to reach their destination, the bell rang saying it was time to get ready for supper. “Oh, come on Luna we have to get ready.” “Huh?” Ania grabbed Luna’s hand again and pulled her back to the room.

When Ania came out from behind the curtain she was wearing a light purple dress that came up to her knees. Her hair was up in a bun and she had a nice collar necklace on. Ania wore small high heel shoes that were a nice silver color. She looked like a princess. “Wow! You look so pretty!” Luna was amazed that they could dress like that for supper. “Thank you. What are you going to wear to the banquet?” Luna’s eyes went wide. Luna didn’t realize that today was the banquet. Just then someone knocked on their door. Ania went to answer as Luna went to look for something to wear. “Luna come here for a minute!” Luna walked over to Ania and when she looked down there was a box with a ribbon and little note on it. The note read: I hope you like the dress. I know it will look good on you. The shoes and necklace match it very well. Your mom helped me pick it out for you. –Daisuke Luna was so happy she started to cry. “No, don’t cry Luna. You need to get ready for the banquet!”
When they both walked in, everyone went silent and looked at them. Ania kept walking not noticing. All eyes went back to Luna. Luna was wearing a long light blue dress that had a black ribbon that went around her waist. She wore her hair down, that were now in long waves. Her dress had a nice bead pattern on the left side that went up and across the top of the dress. She wore a black collar necklace and wore black small high heels. She had big black hoop earrings and was wearing black eyeliner and mascara. She walked over to the table that had her nametag on her plate and sat down. Everyone went back to talking with their friends. “Well that was awkward,” said Luna still red with embarrassment. “No, don’t worry it’s always like that with a new student. They become very quite so they can see who it is.” “Um… Okay. Oh, Hi Sal, Jesse, and Coco,” Luna said with a big smile. Coco smiled back and so did Jesse. Sal on the other hand didn’t smile. His head was down just like the first time they met.

There was an empty seat next to Luna. Luna leaned over to look at the name tag. It read: Max Yuni. Luna didn’t know this Max but the name sounded familiar. Then Luna looked over to the table next to them and saw this bleach blonde sitting with tree other girls. They were all still looking at Luna, but the bleach blonde was looking at her with disgust. Luna sat up straight and didn’t ever look back at that table. “Who are they?” “Well I guess you should know,” said Coco in a sarcastic tone, “The blonde one is Monique, the short black haired girl is Jade, the ginger is Monica and the short haired blonde is Monica. They are the total Drama Queen’s. Don’t mess with them or your whole life will be turned upside down in a blink of an eye.” Luna looked back at them and they were laughing in the weirdest way. They were all covering their mouths with the back side of their hands, but weren’t making their hands touch their lips.

“Um… Do you mind if I sit?” Luna looked up at this tall hansom boy. His green eyes sparkled when he smiled at her. His smile made her melt on the inside. His body was toned very nicely (as in muscle), and he wore a light blue undershirt with a black tux on top of it. His pants fell perfectly down his strong looking legs. His hair was a nice tone of chestnut that fell straight down, a little bit passed his ears and was layered. Luna couldn’t speak; instead she nodded and moved over so he could sit down next to her.

For the full diner Luna didn’t dare look at him again. Instead she stayed facing Ania and talked with her and Coco the full diner. When it was almost done, Max tapped on her shoulder. He leaned in close and whispered, “I’m sorry if I made you uncomfortable. I didn’t mean to. Do you want to go riding with me after this?” Luna turned her head and looked at him with surprised eyes. “That would be fun,” said Luna with a blushful smile. “Meet me in front of the main building. See you there.”The moment the banquet ended Luna took off her shoes and grabbed Ania’s hand and pulled her to the room. “I need to get ready!” Luna scrabbled to get ready and then raced out the door. “I’ll be back later Ania! See you later!” With that Luna was out of the girls’ dorm in just a few seconds. Watching her run out to the main building, was none other than Monique with the same disgusted look on her face, with hate filled eyes.
