Jeff stanfest: Not the nicest of people... but damn capable of proving you wrong, or proving he can do the impossible. A close friend all through my days of ice hockey, A varsity leader in cross country, and strong a** mother ********. He died in Afganistan in the summer of 2010 at the age of 23.

Ill miss him now more than ever... even if half the time he was alive I was pissed the ******** off with him. The world actually needs more people like him.

Farmer John: im not sure what to say about him or his death yet...

i figure ill really lay some words down when i can think of it.

He died may 21st 2011 at the age of 16.

His canoe flipped and he got sucked into an under current. A very brave stranger dove in to try to save him, but was also sucked into the current and drown. Ive yet to find out who that person was, and how i can get in touch with his family.

he was an incredible young man. even though he was like 7 years younger than me and not lawfully an adult he was my mentor, he was the person i looked up to, he was the person that learned from. Im sure i taught him alot, im sure we all taught him alot, but i know for damn sure he taught me everything i know about traveling, This green horn would still be home bound for life if he wasnt alive and in my life when he was. Like a little brother to me, like a big brother to me, like a living buddha.

Im going to strive to live like he did, thoughtfully, but with proud vigor.

He and i started a little group called the michigan marauders... for all the local detroit area travelers and squatters, He basically made the group, i just named it... but i know for sure the Marauders will be riding the rails in his honor for years to come.

a short little video in memorial i made for farmer just earlier today on my fancy shmancy ipod thinger majigger. i poured out my tea for him... cause the boy didnt drink liquor but once in a while... the boy loved tea. and now that part of him is on the rails and spikes and gravel of milwalkie junction forever.

couldnt get the pouring out on the rails on video cause i only got two hands but w/e

i love you john, i ******** love you. what more is there to say?

jeremy "horseshit" wolfowitz: you were a raging alcoholic, a junkie, and certainly earned your name if anyone could. how the hell you managed to survive a life time of abuse only to die on a double stack going to minnesota is beyond any of us, but you were loyal and protected me on more than one occasion, gave me some sort of identity as a young kid and was smart enough to beat the s**t out of me if i ever started to emulate you. good night sweet prince, you were too real for this world.

Jessie- you were my best and only friend in High School. The one I could wear Black Metal makeup with, and cry on your shoulder all in the same night. You were my partner in crime, and the Bonnie to my more Clydeish Bonnie. You left me too soon, that dope got the ******** best of you. It didn't deserve you, you were too beautiful to die. I'm still mad that you left me here, but I don't blame you for taking that last beauty nap. 1988-2008.

And to everyone else who's left me here to deal with this s**t- You were my friends, no matter how long or short I knew you. You were my kind. You were my brothers and sisters in this bullshit. I love you, but ******** you. I'll miss you always.

Devin-

I had a quarter tank of gas, I told you I didn't have any, to be fair I wasn't getting paid for another week and needed the gas to get to work, I pretty much made you walk, so I guess I pretty much made you get hit by that red Pick Up. Known you since I moved out to shitty a** Arizona, stay classy bud, see you on the other side.

ShaggyDope... June 20, 2011; age 26. i only met him once, took him on his first hop. Farmer John (listed above) had gathered us all up to go on a quick trip to Port Huron on new years... He told us stories about life in portland, getting drunk, getting their face bashed in, about his experiences hitch hiking back and fourth from michigan to the pacific north west.

He and i and Farmer had plans to hop to the east coast together, and ride around all summer before farmer had died. then after farmer died shag and i decided to chill in detroit and visit each other once in a while for short trips up to flint and port huron... i just talked to him via Squattheplanet.com a few days ago making such plans.

he was a good guy... i didnt know him very well, we were both equally crushed when we got word that Farmer John had died. Its a shame... i was just thinking about Shaggy and about how i should get him a rail spike from Farmer's favorite train yard as a symbol of his membership in farmer's hopping buddies the Michigan Marauders. I mean just yesterday i was thinking this.

[ill post more about him when i find out how he died and whats going on with his family, two ******** friends in the span of one month... ******** up...]
