Chapter 2 New School

That morning Luna woke up before dawn. She couldn’t wait to see her new school! By sunrise her mom and dad were up. They were on the road an hour later. She would be arriving a week later than the other students. She had her uniform on. It had many parts to it. There was the white undershirt, a grey skirt that went half way down her thighs, another grey blouse to go on top that covered most of the skirt, but left two inches of the bottom, a nice plain red tie, long socks that stayed just under her knee. She then wore these boring brown shoes that had a lot more grip then her runners but looked very ugly and had tied up her hair so that her bangs were framing her face and her hair was tied with a nice big plain red ribbon that was tied in a big bow. Her eyes were glowing with happiness and she had one of her famous smiles on.

She was sitting very quietly and her mom started to worry. “Dear, is everything alright? Did you forget something?” her mother asked in a worried tone. “No mom I’m fine. I have everything and I’m just wondering who my roommate will be,” she said smiling the famous smile. “Well alright. You know that your father and I love you very much and that you can tell us anything you need to.” “Yes mom I know. I love you both too.” With that the car went back silent with only the soft music playing in the background.

Luna was told that there were five buildings. Two of them were together and that was the main building and the gymnasium. The gym was as big as two football fields. The main building was three stories high and had a basement. Then there were two dorms, the boy’s dorm and the girl dorm. Then there was the last building, the stable. All students either used one of the horses that are at the school or they brought their own.

When they arrived at the school she was almost bouncing in her seat with excitement. She rolled down her window and took in the nice clean fresh air. It still smelt like morning with a light breeze of lake and dew on the trees and grass. It smelt the same as always but had this hit a freshness that was new to her nose. “Hi there, you must Luna. I’m the headmaster of this school. My name is Paul Kaze, and this is Kaze Academy!” Luna was shocked to see how energetic the headmaster was. He was about as tall as Daisuke but had a long nose that curved up at the end. He had nice forest green eyes and was as pale a ghost. His hair was as black as the night sky with no moon. He stood with pride but had a scar that went from the beginning of his right eyebrow, across his eyelid, down stops at the bottom of his cheek bone. There was no swelling so it was an old scar. He had this friendly look in his eyes that made you feel welcome when you talk with him.

“Well Luna the way it works is that you stay here all year but you go back for Christmas and during the summer. Is that okay with you and your parents?” He looked at all their faces and then Luna and her parents nodded. Luna got her bags, hugged and kissed her parents and then they were off. When she turned around there was a girl standing next to the headmaster. She was as tall as Luna and has nice bright green yellow eyes. Her gaze was very friendly and she had nice brown blonde hair that went up to her shoulders. She was wearing the same uniform that Luna was and when the girl noticed Luna looking at her she smiled warmly. Luna couldn’t help but smile back. “Luna this is your roommate Ania Lustue. She will show you around and help you get used to it around here. I hope you will have fun here at Kaze Academy!” With that all said, the headmaster walked off and it was just Luna and Ania. “Um… Do you want help with your bags?” Ania was very shy and Luna didn’t understand why. “Sure if you really want to help.” Luna smiled her famous smile and just like that Luna had a new friend.
