MAJOR CHARACTERS
Name: Lucas Ellison (Superhero name: Paragon)
Age: 24-25
Affiliation: Hero
Appearance: Lucas is a Caucasian male who stands at a height of 6'2", with brown hair and eyes. His body is as physically fit as it is possible for a human to be without being considered superhuman.
Picture:

Personality: Lucas grew up adoring superheroes, most of all Captain America. When he got his abilities, Lucas decided to put them to good use by becoming a superhero. He is generally well-mannered, though he can be quick to anger at certain points.
Powers: Lucas is essentially a combination of two of Marvel's greatest heroes: Wolverine and Captain America. Technically, Lucas possesses no truly "superhuman" powers. However, he is an example of human physical perfection, with all of his human abilities elevated to maximum potential (Like Captain America). In addition, the Adamantium grafted into his skeleton allows him an extra amount of strength and physical endurance, as well as a moderate healing factor (Like Wolverine).
Origin: Born in Arkansas, Lucas lived a normal life until age 24, where he was abducted and placed into Project: PARAGON-- an experiment to create ten deadly assassins to be used by the mysterious Heracles Corporation, by way of the fabled Super Soldier Serum (or at least, that is what he was told; it may have been an identical type of serum, different only in name) and also Adamantium. Lucas was the tenth subject, and the only one to escape the project, thankfully before he was given a serum that would have brainwashed him and stripped him of his free will, making him an unquestioning servant of Heracles Corp.
While on the run, Lucas decided to become a superhero like those he had grown up idolizing-- in particular Captain America. For this, he took the alias "Paragon" as a reminder of how he had gotten his "gifts" and his pledge to use them to help others. In addition to being a rookie hero, Lucas also has to contend with the fact that Heracles Corporation is hunting him, using his nine "brothers", the other members of Project: PARAGON-- all of which are his individual equal in all respects.

Name: Sakal ir Vaal (In his tongue, it means "Son of Vaal")
Age: Millennia-- he was born thousands of years before the current date
Affiliation: Hero
Appearance: 6'1", 200 lbs, White skin, red irises, blond hair.
Picture:

Personality: Aloof and wary of others, but he seems to have warmed up to the Ellison family and Nox Praecordia.
Powers:
Current
Enhanced Garondan longevity (Garondans have a lifespan of 500 years), superhuman speed, agility, strength, and durability.
(NOTE: Sakal's speed and agility are worthy of particular mention: when moving in such a way as to get from one point to another, Sakal seems to be capable of covering distances of several hundred meters within seconds, looking like a literal blur of motion to observers. It has been noted that even someone with heightened senses and reflexes, like Paragon, is unable to properly keep track of him when he moves like this.)
Former
Agelessness, the ability to fly at the speed of sound (700mph), teleportation over long distances (such as between planets).
Weaknesses: As he is mortal, he can be killed by someone significantly more powerful than he is.
Skills: Sakal is perhaps the most skilled martial artist to ever exist, with over six thousand years of learning and mastering countless martial arts forms under his belt.
Origin: Born on the planet Garonda, Sakal ir Vaal lived a normal life growing up in a civilization at it's apex. At one point, he fell in love with a young woman named Keela, who later revealed herself to be a cosmic being known as Rhaa'na, who the Garondans worshiped as a Creator Goddess. Rhaa'na explained to Sakal that she had descended to the mortal plane on the orders of her father Latuk, the Elder God of Destruction in the Garondan pantheon, to find a husband.
Rhaa'na brought Sakal to the celestial plane, where Sakal met with Latuk. Latuk told Sakal that in order to wed Rhaa'na, he would have to become a being known as "Arit ir Latuk" ("Servant of Latuk" in the Garondan tongue), and as such he would be required to act as an agent of Destruction, killing people in Latuk's name. Sakal was horrified at this proposal, and tried to negotiate different terms. This angered Latuk greatly, and he was about to wipe Sakal from existence before Rhaa'na stepped in. Angered further, it was at this point that he came up with an idea to make sure Sakal did what he wanted.
Latuk trapped Rhaa'na's essence in the hilt of a sword, and told Sakal bluntly that if he did not become Arit ir Latuk, he would wipe both Sakal and Rhaa'na from existence. Motivated by fear of this, Sakal took the hilt which carried in it the essence of his loved one, and grudgingly accepted Latuk's demands, serving as the Harbinger of Destruction for millennia, all in the hope of one day freeing Rhaa'na.
For six thousand years, Sakal served in this capacity until a fateful meeting with Nox Praecordia and the Ellison family (who had come from the "main" universe to Sakal's own). After they swore to assist Sakal in freeing Rhaa'na, Latuk appeared in person and personally stripped Sakal of his abilities and title, taking Latuk'a I'ae (the weapon which housed Rhaa'na's essence) with him. Sakal then journeyed to the "main" universe with the others, waiting for a chance to strike back at his former master.
Weapons:
Current
Various gadgets created by Sandra Roberts: shurikens, smoke-bombs, etc.
Former
The hilt that contains Rhaa'na's essence is called Latuk'a I'ae, which means "Latuk's Will". This supernatural weapon not only grants Sakal his powers for as long as he holds the title of Arit ir Latuk, but it also creates a blade that is seemingly made out of solidified fire. This blade is capable of cutting through (and withstanding) most other forces due to it's supernatural origins. Though certain natural elements such as Adamantium cannot be affected by it (or affect it, conversely).

Name: Sandra Roberts
Alias: Sylveria
Age: 49 (Has stopped aging)
Affiliation: Hero
Apperance: Exactly like Paradigm, except... well, a bit older. Basically this:

Personality: As a scientist, Sandra can have a very analytical personality at times. She is a quick thinker, capable of thinking tactically when in combat or when her two children need help. She loves both Lucas and Lara very much, and would do anything to help them in life.
Powers: Magical Arts Mastery- Decades of studying mysticism has allowed Sandra to master feats like energy manipulation, and be capable of defying the laws of physics and nature via astral projection and flight, among other things. She has superhuman strength and durability, and can fly close to the speed of sound when she wishes. She also has advanced longevity as a result of her studies, allowing her to retain a young form indefinitely.
Weaknesses: Other mystical and supernatural beings, particularly those who practice the Dark Arts.
Skills: Sandra is a famous geneticist with a near-genius level of intellect, and she and her husband Harry Ellison were forced to work in Project: PARAGON as a result, creating a serum that could turn a normal human into a being of physical perfection. They were specifically assigned to working on their own son, Lucas.
Origin: Sandra Roberts was born in Chicago in 1962, living a normal life until college, where she began studying both genetics and the mystic arts-- a curious mix. By the time her son Lucas was born in the mid-1980s, Sandra was already a famous geneticist as well as an accomplished user of the magical arts, thanks to her intellect. She continued studying and becoming more experienced in both fields-- though the latter was unknown to her family. By the time she and her husband were forced into Project: PARAGON, she was a master of magical arts. However, she did not use them to allow her family to escape partially due to her own curiosity about what would happen with her son, and also a deep-rooted fear that her family would reject her if she revealed herself.
When Lucas escaped Heracles Corporation's grasp-- after accidentally killing his father Harry Ellison, Sandra's husband-- Sandra finally managed to get over her own fears, and used her powers to get away from Heracles Corporation, eventually settling down in Tangent Tropolis. Unbeknownst to Lucas, she used telepathy to subtly, gently guide him toward Tangent Tropolis, a secret which she has yet to reveal to her son. It was also due to her using her powers that the being that would later be called "Turbo-Man", who was one of Lucas' old action figures, was brought to life.

Character Name: Unknown (goes by alias only)
Picture:

Alias: Sentinel
Age: Unknown
Height: 6'1"
Weight: Unknown (declines to reveal)
Affiliation: Unknown
Powers: The Sentinel Armor grants its user strength, speed, durability, and reflexes that reach superhuman levels. The suit has a tactical cloaking ability that allows the wearer to blend into his or her surroundings. The nature of the Sentinel Armor's full-body design means that the wearer's scent, pheromones, and body heat are all cycled through the suit's polycarbonate microweave fibers and released at the base of the feet, to disperse immediately afterward, further concealing the wearer's identity.
The most advanced part of the Sentinel Armor's design is the visor: it has a heads-up display (HUD) that is accessed via a neural network connection between the suit and the wearer's mind. The visor/helmet features various vision modes and a voice synthesizer that causes the wearer's voice to come out in a deep, inhuman baritone.
Aside from the Sentinel Armor's own cutting-edge technology, it is currently unknown exactly what the man who calls himself Sentinel can do himself.
Bio: There is currently no information about the man known only as "Sentinel". However, a theory can be drawn from the origins of the Sentinel Armor:
The Sentinel Armor was a secret, personal project of Dr. Harry Ellison's. The purpose for the armor's creation was so that Dr. Ellison's son Lucas could live out his lifelong dream of being a superhero. The Sentinel Armor went through various stages of development before Dr. Ellison formally completed it in 2010, after a full twenty years of work. Unfortunately, Dr. Ellison never got to give his son the armor, as the Ellison family was abducted by Heracles Corporation soon after the work on the armor was done, and Lucas inadvertently killed his father while escaping from Project: PARAGON.
Due to the extensive amount of knowledge about the Ellison family that Heracles Corporation has, it is not a stretch of the imagination to assume that the man named Sentinel is a member of Heracles Corporation, using the Sentinel Armor that Dr. Ellison developed in an attempt to hunt down Lucas Ellison ("Paragon") and turn him in to Heracles Corp to complete Project: PARAGON.
