For those of you who watch Naruto, you'll probably understand how the ranking works already. As for those of you who don't, I left descriptions of each level to make things easier.
Ninja Academy Student
Ninja Academy students like Konohamaru are taught the basic jutsu skills. Once they have mastered the needed skills, they are able to graduate and become actual ninja. However if the new Genin do not impress their Jounin sensei, they can be sent back to the Academy for further training.

Ninja Academy Students are the super recent Members. They're new to the guild, so it is the older members' job to make them at ease and at home. Once you familiarize with the workings of the Guild and/or get the hang of questing on zOMG!, you will be opted for promotion as Genin. Feel free to ask for any help in questing and any of us would be happy to join. 3nodding
Genin
Genin are the basic rankings of ninja skill levels. They possess a knowledge of all the basic ninja skills and will do lower C & D rank missions with their Jounin sensei. Once the Genin has successfully undertaken eight missions, they can be sponsored by their Jounin sensei for the Chuunin Exam.

Genin are the Members i've met through zOMG! and have been invited for their skillz! While they do not yet have the same liberty as the Crew, they are awfully close to being promoted. A little socializing and promo for the guild could get you into the Crew.
Chuunin
The Chuunin is the basic journeyman ninja of the village. These ninja can become field doctors or teachers. They were formerly Genin who were promoted for displaying excellent intelligence, strategy and combat skills in the Chuunin Exam. Chuunin have the equivalent rank of military captain, exhibiting strong stamina, knowledge and inner wisdom.

The Crew were the first to inspire me to make this guild. These people displayed excellent teamwork especially in our first quest. You can trust them with your avi life! Crew them whenever possible. They'll point you in the right direction. blaugh
Jounin
The Jounin are ninja who are highly skilled in all jutsu skills and arts. Ninja attain the rank of Jounin through official appointment. The Jounin generally serve as squad commander for mission operations.

The Jounin is my current Vice Captain, who is actually a part-time dragon. This title is only given to the Chuunin who have earned my complete trust. Over time, I will promote more Vice Captains, but for now, trust on him to literally reawaken you from the dead. (He loves to defib.) Whenever i'm not around, he's got my back. (Yes, I admitted it.) MUST-HAVE for any mission. He'll be sure to be a team asset!
Kage

The village Kage is the strongest ninja in the hidden village. The Kage serves as the pillar upon which the village stands and the strength a village presents to the other ninja countries largely depends upon the strength of the Kage in power. They have excellent chakra and stamina and know the most jutsu techniques. Only the Five Great Shinobi Countries are allowed to call their head ninja by the Kage name.
