As many of you well know, every year, users of Gaia who have the courage to, step up and throw a party for thousands of their peers. With it's extremely rich history, starting back to the very year that Gaia was founded, the ball has helped in bringing the community together in a way that has not hampered development, and has connected these thousands of users simultaneously, year after year. It is planned, organized, funded, ran, and moderated year after year, and so far has gone off without a hitch and with enthusiastic support from the Gaian Staff, not to mention positive feedback from the users that the ball serves.
