Nope. No there isn't. He just wants to be pretty. That's as deep as it goes.
I'm a little confused as to why Yuki turned Shuuichi down for a job. Is it because he's not 18 yet? Because she said "The day's finally arrived!" Cripes, if Shuuichi is 18 then a lot more time has passed than I thought!
lol. Not quite eighteen yet. Probably about sixteen seeing as he's now a first year in high school.
And this chapter got me so excited. Now they're all in high school and things are going to be different than they have been for the last few volumes. I see this as a good thing because it feels natural, like we're following them through their lives. Which we are pretty much actually. XP
And it'll be really exciting if he does get a job because that might mean some new and interesting characters. Takako-san does a great job with creating realistic, individual, unique characters. The last time they changed schools we got Chi-chan and Momo so I hope we get a few new characters again.
