He was contemplating. As he glared at the stack of papers before him, he mumbled obscenities under his breath.
"I never signed up for paperwork, did I now? No, but somehow I always end up stuck with it it seems ... "
With a sigh, he head-desk into the papers, eying the empty bottles that lay sprawled across the desk. It was his own fault, that headache. Nonetheless, he would never admit to it. If only life was simpler, if only he could perhaps claim a weasel ate his paperwork. Surely his boss would understand. She would also understand the fact that there was a desk on the stage, as if he owned it and could pull furniture where he wished. He thought better there, he couldn't help it. Especially after that many bottles.
With those thoughts taking form in his rather eclectic mind, he noticed a small moving object in the corner of his eye. Turning his head, still faceplanted into the desk, he eyed the child.. not really sure what to make of it. Was it a hallucination? Was it the manifestation of post-drinking? ... Was if the spawn of his boss coming over to greet him?
Sighing, he picked himself off, taking time to dust himself off. He knew it was a child, he hated children. For some reason, they liked him. They loved his colors, and his laughter, and his tricks. Still, he knew who the kid was, and it was likely against his health and well-being to ignore it.
"Hm? .. Well, dearie .. My name is Haruk. I might ask though, where are your parents, hm? You really shouldn't be out alone you know ..
He cringed at that, realizing she wasn't alone. For all he knew, the kids mother knew he was still doing paperwork, contemplating the abyss and how papers would really brighten it.
