There are two types of chakra that can be combined or used separately. Please use this guide when determining the Chakra Use of a specific jutsu.

Physical Chakra

This chakra is used for most Taijutsu and physical modification techniques. It is often relied solely upon by pure hand to hand combatants who shy away from Ninjutsu and Genjutsu techniques.

Example 1.1
The user channels Physical Chakra through X.

For the above example, X can be replaced with whatever body part is being amplified or changed.

Spiritual Chakra

This chakra is used for most Genjutsu and summoning techniques. It is often relied solely upon by spiritual combatants who shy away from Taijutsu and Ninjutsu techniques.

Example 2.1
The user channels Spiritual Chakra out through X.

For the above example, X can be replaced with whatever body part that the user is sending the spiritual chakra out though. For Dōjutsu this would be the eyes, but for most techniques it is the hands.

Combined Chakra

This chakra is used for Elemental Ninjutsu. It is often relied solely upon by ranged combatants who shy away from Taijutsu and Genjutsu techniques.

Example 3.1
The user channels Spiritual Chakra laced with Physical Energy to form X through Y.

For the above example, X can be replaced with the element that is currently being utilized while Y can be replaced with whatever body part that the user is sending the combined chakra out though. For most techniques combined chakra is channeled through the hands.

Note

This is in no way exclusive and the concept of chakra, or chakra combined with another source of energy is always up to artistic interpretation. This is merely meant as a standardized guide in order to assist those who are unfamiliar with how chakra works and to provide a simple copy/paste template that can easily be filled out.
