My best friend who I've gone to the past two Otakons with (my only two) can't come this year.
Can I maybe, either get someone who will hang with me some of the time, so I look less lonely... or get tips on how to look less lonely?
And has anyone else had to go to a con alone?
My brother might come, but he says he's at least gonna bail to go to the Aquarium one day.
So.... yeah. What do I do? In the event that I don't find someone else to go with me, who I tolerate enough to stay with for three days.

going to a con alone is actually really awesome. I have a friend i a;ways con with too, there have been 2 times, one where i could go, and once were her couldn't go, and we both had a ball.
When you alone anything goes, you can just do the most random stuff and noone knows who you are.
I also met tons of very very pretty female friends that year...

Well, I am going so I will be there if you want to hangout. I liked hanging with all of you guys last year most anyway. My friend Matt will laos be there and you can all meet him. So yeah, me and another guy......idk where this is going.

It'll be strange without Jhane there no matter who I get to go with me, but I think it'll still be awesome. Also, you know if people search 'Otakon' in the guilds they won't find this? I recommend perhaps putting a tag with that word in it. See ya tomorrow! ;D

I could use someone to hang out with majority of the time. I have a group, but they seem like they're all going to be doing their own thing. This year it's a little different for me because my original group I'm no longer going with so it's new people who I have no con experience with. I'm basically going to be the "tag-along" in the group and just go with whoever is doing something fun.
I'd hate to be alone the whole weekend and just mindlessly wandering around the place hardly talking.
I'm a shy person at first (but at a con who knows lol) and I'm a shopper so going around the Dealer's Room a couple times is very entertaining. I could spend all weekend in there actually. Just walking around is equally fun. I do everything.

I'd love to hang out with any of you guys. heart
We'll talk closer to convention time.
As I'm looking at the activities (okay, I'm getting excited), I think this year will probably be a lot of fun. I'll be able to see all of the things my friend never wanted to. ;D
When it comes to conventions, I'm usually like the energizer bunny, and she's usually.... not. So instead of having to sit and chill, or go back to the hotel, I'll just keep going. And going. And going.
And crash Monday. xD
@Chibi: I'm usually shy at first too... but hopefully since I'll be in my element I'll open up fairly quickly.
