It is assumed she had some money and qualifications, otherwise she wouldn't have been able to buy and work as a headmistress at the old St Hedwig of Andechs's Home for Orphans. It is believed she was a failed career woman who never married or had children of her own. At the age of thirty-four the woman made one last grab at success by her thirty-fifth birthday: becoming the headmistress of an orphanage.
Since then, Mistress Michelle del Amorio, or "Mother" as she prefers to be called, has turned adopting out orphans into a profitable business. She uses her sycophantic and manipulative ways to hoodwink any auditor or inspector into believing she is an honest-to-goodness woman who only wants to feel the joy of motherhood. She uses her skills and knowledge of how to go about things so well that she can personally walk the auditors through practically the entire grounds without arousing ta single hint of suspicion. If there are any bad marks against her name, they have never been noticed or acted upon. Her colleagues in various blackmarkets and government positions make sure of that.
Throughout her years as Headmistress, Mother has made a great deal of money and just as many contacts. You'd be surprised how big the market is for specifically trained children and how high a price they fetch. She's got enough to make sure she has all the highest security and surveillance equipment as well as the best ears and eyes out in case the government picks up on what she's running. Even the Grounds Keeper and the old Wardens are loyal to her. The Grounds Keeper, Puck, is the closest thing she's ever had to a child and she keeps a blind eye to his perverted habits.Staff OverviewXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXMother is a solitary woman. She usually keeps to herself and has the Wardens do the legwork. She also has Puck watch over the grounds for her. She just overseas everything and makes sure nothing goes wrong. Don't think she misses anything though. The Wardens and Grounds Keeper tell her everything, and she has security cameras everywhere. She will not have one student slip up and jeopardise everything she has worked to create. If that means sucking up to inspectors or auditors, then so be it. She's too far into her orphan business to slip up now. After all, with no heir and no great works to her name, Del Amorio's Boarding School for Abandoned Children is her legacy. For decades to come people will remember what she created and if her successor slips up, she will be known for even longer.
Interestingly enough, many of her sycophantic ways may very well hide a need to be married and bare her own offspring. This is not known for certain but one or two children over the years have claimed to have seen something akin to affection in her eyes when it comes to the auditors. These rumours are usually brushed off very quickly because nobody can believe there is any real love or warm emotions inside Mother. She's just too... cold.
Another important point about Mother is that she if both frugal and a miser. All the money she's collected over the years is hoarded away, nobody knows where. She doesn't dress extravagantly or live a life of luxury so what is she planning with all her profits? She sure isn't putting it into bettering her orphans' lives, that's for sure. They may be implanted with expensive technology and surrounded by expensive security but none of the profits are going to them.

This was because he came at the ripe young age of two: a year after that woman took over the place. Things were different back then: mainly because there weren't that many people in general. At the time, Mother was the only adult in the entire place. It's amazing how fast things grow and change.
There isn't much to say about Puck. He was loyal and was one of the first to become a Warden in his career: which was a labourer. When he was younger, he never thought about getting adopted because he wanted to stay and help Mother. It's like he was born to follow Mother. As for the other kids, he never trusted any of them for various reasons that don't need to be told right now.
Currently, Puck is one of the oldest and most loyal workers: besides Mother of course. He likes his job and spends a lot of time outside fixing up the grounds. Normally he makes his underlings do the more boring manual labor. Although he isn't really a teacher, he does watch over and give the kids tasks when they have to work outside for experience. Of course there is that perverted hobby of his that started when he became an official member of the staff. The best part is the fact that Mother looks the other way because of their closer than normal connection.Staff OverviewXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXPuck is a pervert that especially likes young untainted boys. Still, he will tease people of all ages no matter what their gender is: he's just more intimate with the younger boys. Puck is like a predator: the way he picks his cute little victims to prey on. He is also frightening to almost everyone. This isn't because of his twisted tendencies though; after all, most don't know about it because he is suspicious of everyone but mother: so he is careful & secretive when it comes to his sick hobbies. The real reason why most are scared of him is because of his gruff demeanor, rough deep voice and cold death glares. You definitely don't want to get on his bad side because he will have no qualms punishing you.
His patience might be the only thing that is remotely good about him. Puck is the type that doesn't get angry easily. This means that he is less likely to punish the kids for, what might be considered, silly reasons. The bad side to this trait deals with his prey. He can stalk his victim for as long as it takes to coerce the person into doing what he wants. Usually his targets don't even realize that they're his prey until it's way too late.

Her mother was a junkie prostitute and her father didn't even know she existed. In fact, there was no way to know who he was even if she tried to find out. For the first couple years of her life, her mother was actually raising her like any normal good parent would; but as time passed her habits got worse. Before she knew it, Rin was taking care of herself and her own mother most of the time: not that she was good at it. Her mother always seemed to be on something and treated her own daughter badly over the dumbest things.
By the time she was five years old, her mother died of a drug overdose. She stayed at the house until some guys came. Not knowing why they were there, she sneaked out before they noticed her and started living on the streets. Luckily, some of the older bums were nice enough to help her a bit: there was no way she could survive completely on her own. Still, they refused to help too much because they didn't want to become close to her. Of course she didn't understand the reasoning behind that; but she was grateful for what help they did give her.
After adapting to her new lifestyle, Rin found a three year old wandering around and took it upon herself to help him. Soon they were found and taken to the orphanage. She was placed in the labour career path. This was partially because they thought she was a boy at first and decided to keep the fact that she was a girl from everyone else: the only people that know are Mother, Puck and Theo. Despite their initial gender mess up, which only lasted a day at most, Rin has never had any type of schooling. That's another reason why they kept her in that career. The first year at the orphanage was focused on getting her caught up with normal school related things: it was the ultimate crash course. The second year started mixing in some physical intensive activities.
Oh and if you are wondering, the reason why social workers never came to take her away from her mother was because they lived in the area of town where no one civilized goes. No one cares about that place. It had it's own set of rules and was ignored by the rest of society.Student OverviewXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXShe was always caring and strong. One must be strong in order to endure what she had to. Plus, she likes challenges: probably because it makes her feel alive. She also became a good listener: not one to rebel. This might be because she didn't want to make her relationship with her mother worse than it already was at the time. It seemed better to keep her in a good mood if at all possible. The same was true for the orphanage; although she feels like she is better off than she was before.
Rin tends to worry about her little friend because of Puck. The girl is observant and knows that there is something seriously wrong with that guy: especially when it comes to young boys like Theo. It's even worse that she has to spend most of her time around the guy. Her protectiveness isn't something that is normally shown because it only came to be after getting attached to the little boy. She hasn't done anything yet; but if Puck, or anyone else for that matter, ever does anything to Theo: she'd definitely try to protect and/or save him somehow.
Another thing worth mention, is the fact that she is prone to crushing on people. This is something new to her and quite confusing. She is one to blush easily and usually does so when she runs into situations she isn't accustomed to. Her way of handling such things, however, is very much like a guy.

It was the workings of some crazy couple that couldn't have kids or adopt for whatever reason. Instead, they spent time looking for young children that they could raise on their own: in the end they chose him. They took him far away from where he was living; but he ended up running away one day. For some reason, he got the urge to do that even though they were very kind to him (despite stealing him of course). Seeing that he was so young, he had no way to take care of himself. That was when an older girl took him in and treated him like he was her own brother. The girl was only seven years old at the time. Not even a year later, they were found and taken to the orphanage.
Seeing that he was only four, they had him spend his first year with other normal kids (at least they were normal for the time being) and a childminder. At the age of five, Theo was assessed and put in the private career class because of his unique eyes and lovable personality. The stuff they taught him for the next year was fairly normal. There might have been a few things here and there that would show where his training was leaning toward; but nothing too weird. Theo has stayed quite close with the young girl that helped him on the outside even though they are on different career paths.
As for his real parents, they searched for him for two years. The police found the couple that stole him a year later; but they stopped searching a few months after that. This was mainly because there were no leads; after all, Theo ran away and could have been anywhere. Not to mention the fact that he was only three when he escaped and was probably dead in a ditch somewhere. Still, the parents hold a sliver of hope in there hearts.Student OverviewXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXHe has always been cheerful, affectionate, playful, outspoken and curious. Not one to be shy, he will do or say anything if he feels like it. You might think that he would get in trouble for because of that; but his actions aren't normally bothersome for the ones in charge. At most he might embarrass or annoy some of the others. Even though he acts very much like a child; he isn't particularly naive. In fact, he knows some adult things that most his age should out.

Nobody wanted him and his gender meant it was unlikely anyone ever would. Who would want to adopt such an abnormal child? He would never be considered a Normal so he was placed with the other youngsters until he was five. He used to get frightened at night so he would crawl into other orphans' beds and hide under the covers. Each night, the Childminders would walk past to inspect the cots and dorms. Each night, after he'd fallen asleep, he would be tucked into his own bed once more. If he woke up he would remain perfectly silent but his hands would clutch at the Childminder's clothing. This habit persisted even after he was assessed.
Being assessed wasn't the most frightening thing Taylor had ever experienced but it was definitely in his top three. Another was his first encounter with Puck but that's a story for another day. He had never met most of the Wardens and didn't know what to expect but the assessment almost brought him to tears. Strangely enough, the Wardens decided he would be best as a Danger. They thought he would work well with specific clientèle: gentler men and women who want a less frightening protector.
After being assessed, he entered a world of defence and death. There isn't really much more to say about his life. It's pretty much the same as every other orphan that goes through his career. He gets up in the wee hours of the morning, gets ready for class learns how to assassinate, attack and defend people then gets ready for bed. Like many of the others in his career, he's already killed his fair share of rejected orphans. He's slowly becoming immune to the stress of killing fellow children but he doesn't want to ever lose the feeling of guilt. If he enjoyed killing that would make him a bad person.Student OverviewXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXTaylor is incredibly body shy. She is generally shy but when people take note of anything about her body she withdraws further into herself. This tends to make people think she's weak or ineffective but they could never be more wrong. She's capable of holding her own as much as any of the other Dangers her age. The only difference is she isn't so aggressive in her nature as many of the others. When possible, she tries to constrain her target without injuring them. If she does hurt them she waits until after class to apologise then quickly hurries away. Her teachers and the Warden do not like this about her because it makes people think they can walk all over her, which in many cases is true.
Taylor is always well mannered and respectful. It's one of her better qualities as a potential bodyguard. No employer would ever feel threatened by her. She's just so quiet and inoffensive. She does tend to be nervous and subdued though. When she's not in class, she usually has her sleeves pulled around her hands as though she's trying to hide and when the older students or the Wardens get angry at her she tends to hide her mouth behind her sleeves. She'll remain quiet and still until they've stopped yelling then apologise in little voice. When she was little the Childminders used to ease off when they saw her do this but it infuriates her present teachers.

Sexuality: Unknown, though probably one of the flexible-s if her stories are any indication Student RecordXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX- Wilhelmina doesn’t exactly remember much of her earlier childhood, and what she does recall is rather bland. It wasn’t until she got assessed that her life became more exciting, and by exciting, she means becoming a nursery aid or training to become one. She eventually became one at the age of ten, and would’ve probably grown bored of the monotony if it hadn’t been for a child who couldn’t sleep and asked for a story.
Now you see, she heard all the normal stories during her childhood, like most children, but something just didn’t sit right with her. Maybe it had something to do with the fallacies of someone falling in love at first site, but she decided right then and there, in a childish manner of creativity, that her stories were going to be different. So she decided to regale the youngster with her take on Rapunzel, which had something to do with a human shape shifted into a dragon to protect the girl or something.
Over time her knack for storytelling became known to all the youngsters, and needless to say, she was quite popular at bedtime. While it was fun, the fact that she stayed up later than the youngster caused her to quickly become bored with the three or more hours she had until it was her own bedtime. So while she was wondering about one evening she stumbled across some of the older kids exercising; their taut and toned muscles, fascinated young Wil, so much so that she sort of secretly watched them…trying to remember what they were doing so she could apply it at a later date.
That later date would be the following evening, when she tried to do some of the basics they did. Much to her surprise she couldn’t do it for long, but she didn’t give up.
She was just about to give up twenty minutes after she started, when an older girl, one from the previous day gave her some pointers about what she was doing. After another ten minutes of doing it properly, little twelve year old Wil was all tuckered out. As the older girl helped her back to the dorm, she learned that she could exercise with the older girl the following day…which caused a bunch of conflicted emotions. She wanted to look like Belle, the older girl, but she felt shy about her thin frame.
Well in spite of her worries, she ended up exercising the next day…and the day after that, and the one after that, and so on and so forth. Needless to say, she and Belle became fast friends as her workouts became more extensive. Now four years later, Wilhelmina has a body of lean muscle just like her friend who has become the physical education teacher in Del Amorio. Student OverviewXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Like any normal childminder, Wilhelmina’s caring and gentle. It seems to come a little too easily for her, but she not exactly one to complain or question things that come naturally. Kind of like how young children won’t initially question the existence of Santa Claus or the Stork, so to speak. It doesn’t mean that she doesn’t think about things when she’s curious or when, something feels off, it’s just that those moments are rare.
However, it’s not to say that she’s like this all the time. Seriously who’s only one sided all the time, that’d get incredibly boring. When among peers, she’s a bit cheerful, friendly, perhaps a little competitive in relation to things she’s good at…but the competition is all in good fun, yes.
Though there’s a side less seen around the orphanage, one that’s rather warm and heartfelt, even if the other person tends to deny her affections occasionally. It’s a motherly side, when that wishes to protect the things that cause discomfort…despite the fact, Wil has never really gotten a chance to be protective.

His parent's were both heavy drug abusers and were arrested by the police about six months after he was born. Of course, they lost custody of him and were sentenced to 10+ years in prison. Since they had no family members he could go to, he was sent to Del Amorio's Boarding School for Abandoned Children, where he could find a better family. But this may never happen for him.
When it was time for his assessment, it was quickly proven that he was far too dim to do anything but work. His IQ was seen to be quite low, even at his age. But his growth was very impressive. He was much taller than the other children his age and appeared to be more resilient as well. Anytime he fell or hurt himself, he'd just quietly continue what he was doing previously, without so much as a tear. With these qualities in mind, it was obvious where he'd be best placed and he was pronounced a Laborer.
Once he was set into his curriculum, the tough stuff began. Although he was put into a few educational classes, it became obvious that he wouldn't be able to pass anything except gym, for he was just too stupid. So, he was taught to work, without stopping for hours at a time, under any weather conditions. He prevailed through many scorching hot days and snowy cold temperatures. It was as if his body was created for work, only work.
When he was eleven, he began to notice other boys in a different way. But because of his large stature, many of the other children stayed away from him. Rodney was about 5'6 and weighed 156 pounds which was rare for a boy his age. He also rarely ever talked, so the others would naturally fear him. Now, at the age of thirteen, standing at 5'8 and weighing 165 lbs, he keeps away from the other children, attending to whatever task he's assigned to do. He'll sometimes try to talk to someone, but they'll either look at him with disgust or run away in fear. He has learned how to count up to twenty, that being because of the number of fingers and toes he has. He can read simple, one syllable sentences and large words are hard for him to pronounce.
Despite his intimidating outward appearance, he is actually very kind. He tries not to hurt anything intentionally, and when he does, he is always regretful. He has been seen, while outside, looking at the various insects and bugs that crawl around in the dirt. They seem to interest him and he wants to learn more about them, which brings him back to the library to look at their pictures.

Weak and happy, her mother died as she held her miracle child in her arms for the very first and last time. Her father, filled with grief from the death of his wife, sunk into a deep depression. He attempted to care for Delilah, telling her through tears that she looked just like her mother. In the end, however, he could go on no more, and he hung himself while his daughter was in daycare at the age of three. Instead of being taken home, the newly orphaned girl was taken to Del Amorio's Boarding School for Abandoned Children by police officers.
Once she was at the age of assessment, Delilah was immediately noted for her intelligence. However, she was also noted for her incredible shyness and nervous disposition. She was very cautious around the other children and almost seemed paranoid. On the other hand, she was very polite and loyal to the few boys and girls who tried to make friends with her. In the end, she was filed as an excellent Private.
During her training, she learned how to become attached to someone, anyone. Her nervousness coupled with her need for attachment led for her mind to become a bit unstable. Without knowing it, around the age of nine, she began to pick up the nasty habit of picking at her skin, leaving horrible marks from little scars, never letting them heal. This angered her teachers, having her cut off her nails to prevent her from hurting herself, but by that time, it was too late.
Now, at the age of seventeen, Delilah's arms, legs, and back are speckled with scars and scratches. This alone makes her want to scratch more, as she feels very uncomfortable with her body. Her instructors have her wear tights and long sleeved shirts or jackets at all times to hide her scars. At first, she didn't mind, because it made her very nervous to look at them. But in time, she began to get nervous and shaky every time she needed to pick. It is unknown what could have caused this, though it's suggested that the early attachment to her father may have sparked it. Nevertheless, it is something that has become quite a problem for the girl. Even 'Mother' herself cannot rid the girl of this habit, though she has tried many times, through taping the girl's fingertips, having her wear a mouth guard, and even shock therapy. When Delilah's nails are cut, she will go to such lengths as to bite, desperately, at her skin or even cut herself, just to get the same feeling.
Around other, she is very kind and quiet. Delilah tends to stick to her required routine, doing the exact same thing everyday. It has been suggested that she also has Obsessive–compulsive disorder, but this has not been fully diagnosed yet. She is sometimes found with a small group of children her age, laughing softly, holding hands. However, she is usually off alone, trying to scratch her skin through her sleeves.

As Michael’s siblings began moving out of home and beginning families of their own, his father grew ill. By the time Michael was three, his father had passed away and his mother, desperate, turned to street performing to earn money. She busked with Michael at her side as he was too young to be left alone.
She earned enough money by amateur magic tricks to maintain a below average lifestyle, and more often than not involved Michael in the performances to draw attention and pity. When Michael was four, he and his mother were returning from their busking when they were caught by a group of drunken men. Michael’s mother was raped then beaten to death and Michael orphaned. None of his siblings stepped forward to claim guardianship, so Michael was sent to Del Amorio’s Boarding School For Abandoned Children as a ‘special case’.
Upon arriving at Del Amorio’s, he was placed with a childminder for the first year of his stay. When it came time for his career path to be selected, his prior experience (although limited), his ability to draw and maintain attention from large crowds, and his unnervingly observant personality made him a naturally gifted performer.
Student OverviewXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Michael is inclined to keep to himself, unless otherwise convinced that somebody is worth speaking to. His mind is sharp, but not in the academic sense – he is capable of assessing people’s intentions and emotions, and knowing how best to manipulate them. He is outwardly rather friendly, and never voices his opinions in case they are the cause of trouble.
He uses his cynicism to earn friends, often joking sarcastically to ease people into conversations that he can control. He will not spring to the defence of a weaker party during an argument or fist-fight, but he will often befriend them after they have been injured or defeated. This is partially because he is unwilling to engage in violence, and partially because he is unwilling to get on someone’s bad side by choosing to oppose them.
He enjoys magic tricks and in his years of training at Del Amorio’s, he has become quite adept. He performs impromptu tricks for the younger children when given the opportunity so that they don’t lose faith in the magic. Although he is cynical of himself and his world, he still hopes that the children can maintain some level of optimism and joy.

Or at least, of the matter. It was however found out that Evangeline was, in fact, an only child. Her mother, deceased along with her unborn child, ripped from her womb by an unnamed assailant. Her father, alive, mad with grief, eventually got locked up in an asylum. Relatives? None that cared enough to accept the poor girl into their family. None that cared at all to even look at her, let alone take her in. After all, nobody wanted her, the child of a madman, firstborn into such a forsaken bloodline.
Mother found her then. She was practically begged. "Just take this child away!" they had said. In the years that followed, some of the adults at the orphanage would find out just why the seemingly innocent young lady's relatives so desperately wanted her gone. After all, despite being from a rich family, well-groomed and beautiful just like a doll, Evangeline was still abandoned. For a reason, at that.
When the girl was first taken into the school, she had already displayed her potential. Though as a youngster she'd appeared relatively normal, playing with the doll that she'd brought along with her and bringing it with her wherever she went, it only took one incident to change Mother's opinion of her completely: when by chance the child had left the aforementioned doll on her bed for but a moment, and returned to have it disappear. Oddly enough, she didn't cry or scream or throw a tantrum or do anything one would normally expect of a child. She was as still as a doll; whereas she could strike up very animated conversations with the plaything, she became almost hollow without it. And then she found it in the arms of another child, and what happened was this:
Evangeline stared at the other child quietly as the youngster defended herself, claiming the toy was hers and accusing the real owner of stealing, as you would only expect of a three-year old girl. But our little princess didn't do anything you would expect of a little girl at all. She took a pencil from a nearby table, walked up to the thief, and ran the writing tool straight through the center of the child's soft hand. She screamed, and when Evangeline got her doll, so did she. But not because she knew she'd get in trouble, let alone because she'd harmed someone, but because she pierced a hole through her doll's dress with the pencil. Were it not for the childminders that heard them, she might have been a bit more creative with the pencil that was already halfway towards the other girl's eye.
Little Briar was only four at the time. But because of the incident, before even her fifth birthday, it was already decided what her career would be. And sadly enough, she loved it. Student OverviewXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Evangeline was quiet and basically antisocial as a youngster, only speaking to her doll and refusing to let anyone take it from her. But come her career years, that all changed. Her first assignment during class was the first time anyone at the orphanage heard the girl laugh. It was a delicate sound, innocent and happy. Were it not for the blood on her face or the corpse at her feet, it would have made her seem like the most precious angel you'd ever laid eyes on. It frightened most people away from her. Oddly enough, however, it was as if every "job" that followed made her seem more normal. She began speaking to the other students as if they'd been friends all this time, playing games with them and becoming a rather fine young lady. Always smiling, playing with toys as if she'd never grown up; so sickeningly sweet sometimes.
To the childminders, Evangeline was courteous and polite. Perhaps a bit excessively playful for her age, and she could behave and speak quite oddly to the other orphans at times, but she was very promising in her career as a Danger. Her affectionate behavior on top of that only seems to make her more lethal. That she's possessive doesn't help either. But she treats her job as a child would a game, and the people around her like she would her toys: fun when she wanted them, but still very disposable just like trash. Because, in the end, the little girl still knows more than she lets on.

No, she does not remember the fire that tore through her life, nor does she remember who was killed. Even the rumors that she was the arson behind the fire is beyond her memory. The only thing she remembers is living at the school.
At first A'isha was defiant against her new life, yes, at the age of four she was defiant. It wasn't until after she was assessed that she settled down, enough to make sure that she wouldn't end up dead. Then, she entered the world of death itself, her career being of an assassin nature.
The reason to her assessment may be due to a fight that she had been a part of at an early age, one in which she used cunning strategy to 'beat' a boy much larger than herself. At first, she was nervous that she had done something wrong, but then it came time for assessment.
She trains ruthlessly, striving for excellency. She sees an opportunity to get out of the orphanage through her career, but she is always unsettled by the fact that she is not in control of her life. She never had dreams as a child, at least, she doesn't remember them. The dreams she has now are recorded in a journal and locked away, dark and bloody.
Student OverviewXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXA'isha has a strong spirit, and a quick tongue. However, she has mastered self control to the point that she can quell the fire within her to focus. She can be extremely eloquent and passionate in her words. Never has she been closed-minded, she sees no point to be. Therefore, she is a very accepting person.
When she does get angry, it is focused and lethal. Otherwise, she is quiet and observant, noticing and recording everything around her in case the need arose for her to turn it against a potential enemy. There is always something running through her head. Calculations, thoughts, speculations, daydreams, etc.

His grandparents had been there for him as far back as he could remember and he loved them dearly. He was blissfully ignorant of what he was missing and never thought anything of how the other kids in his kindergarten had parents but he didn't.
Jake's grandparents were a lovely old pair who enjoyed dancing to crackling music, taking Jake to the playground and singing lullabies in a language Jake knew only a little of. His first language was English but he could also speak some of his grandparents' language: Portuguese. Afterall, his grandmother was born in Brazil.
That all changed though, when Jake's grandfather died of a heart attack a few months ago. Jake could tell his grandmother was getting sadder and she started to get more forgetful too. Sometimes she would forget to take Jake to school or forget these little white pills she was supposed to take each morning. In the end, it got so bad that a nurse came to take her to a nursing home. Yara, his grandmother, decided a nursing home was no place for a young boy and made enquiries into Del Amorio's. The place sounded perfect. The children had a good education and Jake would be living with boys his own age. Jake was quick at making friends so Yara was sure he'd be happier there than with a bunch of old people.
Unfortunately, Jake liked being around old people and the orphanage was far different from the view Mother had painted for Yara.Student OverviewXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXJake is a friendly boy, in that he makes friends easily. Anyone who plays in the sandpit or goes on the swings with him is his new best friend. He isn't incredibly talkative but he isn't a quiet boy either. Most of the things he says are questions about "why" and "how". He doesn't tend to remember the answer or even care, he's just going through a very inquisitive stage in life.
When he's not following someone around and asking incessant questions, he's likely to be found peeking around doors or watching people from the sidelines. This doesn't mean he's standing or sitting still though. He is always playign with something, turning it around in his hands or sucking on the top of his shirt. He has dozens of habits to entertain himself when he has nothing to do. he even starts singing and mumbling to himself in Portuguese. He doesn't really know or think about why he does the things he does. He's just like any other boy his age, though perhaps not as energetic.
When Jake doesn't get his way or people don't do things fast enough for him, he tends to get impatient and even more fidgety. Sometimes he'll even get a little demanding of people older than him or tell his teachers to hurry up. The best way to frustrate him is to speak slowly or deliberately go slower than usual

Having no other family members known to take the child in, Del Amorio's was called and Emilie was taken in within a month of her birth.
As she grew in the nursery, she was quite a happy child. Always smiling, giggling in the arms of her childminders. Early on, they noticed she had problems sitting still and paying attention. Since Emilie was diagnosed with ADHD, they were able to control it at the early stage with medication and punishment.
Now that she is five, she has had her microchip surgery, and has been assessed as a Servant, due to her ability to follow directions quickly when her focus is applied. Another reason she was chosen for this career, was because she seemed to enjoy doing the work. Scrubbing floors, washing dishes were like little games to her. Student OverviewXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Emilie, also called Emmie, is extremely hyperactive and bouncy. She loves to laugh and often has trouble sitting still or paying attention in her classes. Emilie is very friendly, having no trouble with talking to the other children. Her talkativeness, however, can sometimes interfere with her work.
Emilie can be very emotional at times, especially when on the subject of something sad or something that she cares deeply about. Right now, she is going through a slight possessive, or a 'Mine!', stage. This has caused her to get into little scraps with the other children her age. She's learned the hard way, however, not to take things from the older children, for they seem scary when they get angry.
