Hello, my name is... Abigail Luçon
I'm just a doll, really... Beau Cramoisi
I am... 19
A White Feather? Obviously.
I'll tell you a secret... Abigail was born into a very wealthy family in northern France. Her mother, a handsome Englishwoman with dark hair and dark eyes, married a Frenchman with similar attributes. Naturally, when little Abigail was born with radiant green eyes and hair the color of a blazing sunset, rumors began to spread like wildfire. Unable to discourage talk of affairs and illegitimacy, the couple felt they had no other choice but to send the young girl to live with an English aunt. It was under her Aunt Angeline's house that she grew up, and while she grew to love the woman more than she could her nearly nonexistent mother and father, Angeline could see the girl was fiery and defiant by nature. Despite her best efforts to prevent it, the girl would sneak away for hours on end, coming back covered in dirt or soot, and refusing to tell where she had been. She would play games with the boys in the streets, and would boldly refuse to wear dresses- stating with a grin that she would rather run around naked than wear the constricting garments.
As Abigail began to blossom into a young woman, her behavior only grew more atrocious. She would flirt shamelessly with those boys she had once played innocent games with, and when Angeline caught her niece kissing one of the house's staff in the back garden, she could think of only one solution. With no other options, Angeline sent Abigail to Madame Lenora's Academy for Young Ladies. Resistant at first, Abigail eventually gave in and decided to honor her aunt's wishes, believing the school could do little to change her. She couldn't have been more wrong.
Fifteen when she arrived at the academy, it took only a week to break the girl of her more unsavory habits. Punishments for misbehavior were cruel and swift. Within a month Abigail was an entirely different person. She had mastered the smile Lenora required her girls to cultivate, and her grace was something the Headmistress often used as an example for new arrivals. The girl who had at first been the academy's greatest challenge quickly became their greatest model of what was expected of students at the school. Many girls, however, began to notice a certain coldness in the girl's eyes that had never been there before. Lenora thought she had cured the girl of her wildness and fierceness, but the emotions were only subdued.
After a year following the school's rules, and behaving just how Lenora wanted her to, Abigail could take no more. One late night, dressed only in a thin chemise, the girl crept through the halls and outside by way of the kitchen- sneaking silently past the sleeping staff. The iron gate, of course, was locked. Unwilling to give up her escape when she was so close, the girl walked along the walls looking for any way out. Surprisingly, she found it.
Just behind the school's chapel, underneath the cover of thick vines was a section of the wall where the stones were loose and crumbled. Fueled by her desire to leave the place she hated most, the girl spent hours pulling and kicking at the stone until finally a hole had been made just large enough to duck through with relative ease. On the other side the girl was met by the thick trees that seemed to go on endlessly. Unaffected by the dark or the growl of unknown animals, the girl ventured into the forest boldly. Unfortunately, not knowing where to go, and chilled by the cold of night, the girl was forced to return. Carefully she replaced the stones, and the wall looked untouched with the vines once again concealing her escape. Knowing her escape through the woods was both dangerous and unlikely, Abigail devised a new plan.
One afternoon, Abigail brought two other girls to the crumbling wall, and with excitement told them of her midnight escapade, romanticizing in her eloquent way the starlit forest and the wild freedom she experienced. That was all it took. That night, the girls came with her into the forest, and coming upon a clearing hidden from the eyes of the school, they decided they would meet every night to dance and delight in pleasures Lenora would otherwise forbid. They vowed in whispers to carry with them a white feather, as proof that they would tell no one of their mischief. They called themselves the Ladies of the White Feather, and despite their vow of secrecy, they slowly began to invite others to join them in the woods, provided the newcomers could pass a test to prove their loyalty. Soon the staff became aware of these late night adventures, and rather than reporting these girls to the Headmistress, the men helped them slip silently out to the chapel, and even sold them liquor and cigarettes, seemingly unaffected by the prospect of loosing their jobs.
Now nineteen, Abigail is close to leaving the academy. She has become increasingly distressed by the idea of joining society, but the late night romps continue, and she stoically continues on- enjoying herself as much as possible before her little freedom is stripped away.
Do you have a mirror? Abigail
Yes, I'm different. Is it a crime? On the surface Abigail is a perfect example of society's sophisticated ladies- polite, well-mannered, graceful, witty, and above all beautiful. Underneath this charade, however, is an untamed creature filled with impish defiance. Her happiness is enough to make those around her radiant with smiles, but her anger is something all of the White Feathers take care to avoid. The school has given Abigail a cold cruelty, and a blood lust that never seems to be satiated by the hazings White Feather initiates are forced to endure. Thankfully, this side of her is rarely seen, since those who know her would never intentionally try to anger her.
By nature Abigail is proud, and sometimes even a little vain. Despite her fiery nature, she is still quite capable of thinking with a level head and is excellent at keeping her feelings hidden- perhaps the only thing that has kept the White Feathers a secret for so long.
You've heard that, have you? Well... •The punishments she endured upon first coming to the school left scars. It's completely untrue. •Some believe she is illegitimate. True, but she'll let loose a tempest fury on anyone who says so. •She's tried to poison Lenora more than once. She won't deny it.

Hello, ma'am. My name is... Patrick McAlledaen
Just a follower... Beau Cramoisi
Right then, I'm... 29
This is what I do, see? Smuggler
Is this my first choice? Despite being born in Ireland, Patrick grew up in England, the son of a a strict mother and a hard working father. His life was relatively uneventful until he left his parents to try to make a living for himself. The young man quickly got caught in the midst of rather unsavory characters- men who were willing to spill blood for the money to buy a drink. It was here that Patrick realized a silver tongue could save your life. More than once he found himself face to face with the sharp tip of a knife- and every time he managed to talk himself out of the worst situations.
Eventually, however, the man's luck caught up with him. In attempting to swindle an elderly man out of his valuables, a constable caught the Irishman redhanded. Patrick, being the smart fellow he was, decided to run. With the authorities on his tail, the man managed to lead them into the woods outside of town, where he eventually lost them near a girl's boarding school. Knowing it would be foolish to return to town while the constables were still after him, the man continued on through the woods, until he came upon an unexpected sight.
Gathered around a campfire, dancing and singing, were ladies stripped down to their chemises. Naturally inquisitive as to why half-dressed girls were running around in the woods at night, Patrick decided to investigate. While the girls were at first startled by his presence, he soon found them to be welcoming and even eager to hear about his run from the constables. They told him they were students from the boarding school who each night would sneak away to enjoy themselves in the woods. Of course this was all very surprising, but Patrick quickly realized there was financial opportunity (and opportunities of other sorts, as well) in the situation he had stumbled on.
He offered each night to bring the girls goods their Headmistress wouldn't allow, as long as they had the money to pay for it. Of course they agreed, and soon, Patrick was visiting the Ladies of the White Feather every night. Through the ladies he quickly became friends with the school's staff, and he'll often hide away in the grounds-keeper's shed to keep out of sight of Headmistress Lenora- who would likely skin him alive if she ever found out about his presence in her school.
Pretty, ain't I? Patrick
I'd like to think I'm a bit different... Patrick has a way of pissing off most authority figures- perhaps it's his charming demeanor or his ability to say the one thing that might get him a club in the stomach. Either way, constables, guards, and even headmistresses seem to hate him just as much as he hates them. Other than the occasional bitter remark about law enforcement, however, Patrick is usually a cheerful guy. The man has a decent sense of humor, and while he'll deny being a flirt, most of his time with the Feathers is spent making the girls blush in embarrassment. He doesn't mind entertaining them, and oftentimes he'll play his violin while they dance. Very few things will make him uncomfortable, but he won't watch the hazings many of the girls go through.
You heard about that, did you? •It's widely believed that he's an alcoholic. He'll dismiss it being a rumor and call it a fact. •He once had an affair with Headmistress Lenora. It's completely untrue and he'll make sure whoever asks knows it.

Hello, ma'am. My name is... Maximillion “Maxi” Crowe, secretly known as Maxine Blackwood
I'm just a follower... Azekal Noxcis
Right then, I'm... Twenty eight
This is what I do, see? I tend to the gardens around the school.
Is this my first choice? I’ll tell you like I told all the lads. I came here to watch over my friend’s sister…something about being worried for her, in this school filled with the lower class. Honestly, some of the younger staff are just so curious, it’s like they’ve never been told to mind their own business. Gott in Himmel, my calloused hands should been enough of an indication about what my work is! Thankfully those curious boys haven’t gone snooping about in my greenhouse and makeshift shed. Aside from that, me coming here was very uneventful. My mother used to tell me that my green thumb was about the only marketable skill I had, and so I took her advice on it after several failed jobs. I was shortly directed to the school, after I asked some of my friends on whether they knew of a place hiring.
Pretty, ain't I? I’m surprised that the hair dye worked.
I'd like to think I'm a bit different... My hair for one and my quarters within my greenhouse are another, though the biggest difference is also the biggest secret, the fact that I'm of female persuasion. I guess my rather combative nature could be viewed as another one. Though that's only to cover up my biggest secret...which it probably isn't doing all that well. Aside from that, I'm a bit of a tomboy when compared to female peers but amidst the company of Lenora's staff...I fit right in.
You heard about that, did you? •Supposedly a girl comes to my greenhouse seeking more than just help with her studies. Which would be ridiculous! ‘Tis only for studying. •That I’m less of a man, compared to the rest of the staff… Who supplied such ideas?! It was that smuggler wasn’t it!? •There’s been talk that most of the flowers colouring the landscape are poisonous? Please, only the ones in my greenhouse are poisonous. •I worked out a deal with Abigail. About what you may ask? Well that’s a secret only her and I know, and it should stay that way.

Hello, my name is... Evangeline Crossworth
I'm just a doll, really... iAriana-x
I am... Eighteen
A White Feather? Well, clearly.
I'll tell you a secret... Born into a rich, yet dark, environment in the middle of England, Evangeline has had her share of excitements. Her father was one of the highly respected Noblemen, tall and handsome, who had dedicated his service to the Queen. Her mother, on the other hand, was a high class whore, with long white-blond hair and brownish red eyes, who conducted her "business" at fancy parties and dignified gatherings. Although her father was not one to take part in such vulgar activities, this harlot swayed his mind and they made love.
Months later, the dignified nobleman, who'd pretty much forgotten about the common slut he bedded, found a basket, covered with a blanket. He was curious, so he peered closer, removing the blanket to find a baby, with whitish tuffs of hair. There was a note that read, "Please, take care of Evangeline..." signed by her mother. After a moment of thought, her father looked down at the child, and she stared back at him. Then, suddenly, she began to giggle, her little mouth curved into a smile, and she reached up for him. Any thought he had of abandoning her vanished in an instant and he brought her into his home, calling a servant to assist him.
Growing up, Evangeline was a quiet but deceitful child. She enjoyed toying with the children, her so-called "friends". She even played with her tutor's minds, so they would end her lessons early. When she was caught in trouble, she'd always curl over to her father, with a soft, sad expression on her face. This almost always saved her from any punishment. When she entered her early teen years, she learned more about the human body. When being taught, she had her teacher go over two particular subjects in great detail: Sexual Stimulation and Death. From the information she was given, she "experimented" with the other children. Her favorite became teasing the girls, kissing, touching, bitting them until they reached what they couldn't understand. The boys, of course, were no exception.
Now Evangeline's father was often assigned to various murder cases. Whenever he was, she would sneak into his study to read over the details, learning different causes of death. She'd often speak of the extreamly morbid details to her "friends", frightening them into silence.
Her cause for being sent to Madame Lenora's Academy for Young Ladies was rather swift. At fifteen years old, her father found her in the garden, with another girl, doing things highly inappropriate for a young lady. He was enraged and began to scream at her. He told her that she was just like her whore of a mother and that he saw clearly that she'd never be anything more if he didn't do something soon. This was the first time that Evangeline had heard anything about her mother, and she began to weep but her father paid her no mind as he ordered his servants to pack her things. He gripped Evangeline's long white hair and told her that she would become a lady by any means necessary.
When she first arrived at the Academy, she barely spoke. Many of the teachers believed she was a mute, but this was soon disproved with various harsh punishments by Lenora herself, forcing her to speak. By her father's request, she was put in solitary confinement for two weeks upon her arrival, as punishment for her previous crimes. Once she was finally released, her mental state was slightly tarnished from being alone for so long. Two months later, Evangeline had become an irritating wonder for the Academy. She's a star student, but she still retained her quiet rebellion. She learned ways to implement her quick wit toward the teachers and students, while narrowly escaping the harsh punishments. Sure she'll have the award-winning smiling that the girls are taught to wear, but her eyes will show her true feelings. And though she's always wearing the same style of clothing that every other girl must wear, they always seem to be a much darker, yet acceptable, shade. The only person she cannot outsmart is Lenora herself.
Surprisingly, she was one of the girls whom Abigail Luçon brought to the crumbling wall. To be honest, she'd never even spoken with her before that afternoon, though she saw her frequently around the Academy, acting as the model of the entire institution. She was intrigued by her story and talk of freedom from this prison they called an Academy, especially coming from the leading example of what Madame Lenora expected them to become, so she quietly agreed to their vows of secrecy. Personally, she found the whole, white feather ordeal, to be a bit stupid, but nonetheless, she went along with it.
Evangeline is becoming bored of the Academy, now eighteen years old. Inside the school, she tries to keep from flirting with any of the girls in her classes, but there are times when it's just too much fun, seeing their faces turn red from embarrassment and confusion. During the nightly gatherings of the White Feather's, she tends to enjoy taking part in the hazings that the newcomers must go through, using her great knowledge of the human body to assist her.
Do you have a mirror? Evangeline
Yes, I'm different. Is it a crime? Evangeline is extremely quiet and seems to always have her calm composure. Like the rest of the girls, she is poised and polite. She is also very patient, enjoying to wait out for things she likes. Her expression is usually coupled with an amused smirk or a slight grimace. When she does speak her mind, however, she usually says things that will frighten whoever she's speaking to. She enjoys scaring people, even her instructors, giving them "fun facts" on decaying bodies and gruesome diseases.
After being locked away for two weeks, she has developed a sickening fear of being alone in small spaces. She has been known to become unresponsive when in small areas, not being able to speak when spoken to. Lenora uses this to her advantage, threatening to lock her away if she misbehaves in anyway.
You've heard that, have you? Well... • She practices dark magic and various curses on some of the students and teachers; That's completely untrue! • She has a habit of luring girls into the dark corners of the garden and libraries; This is true. They'll usually leave looking somewhat disheveled, avoiding the eyes of others • She actually hates Abigail with a hot, fiery passion; That's a lie. She honestly has no real opinion of her, except that she's a suitable leader.

Hello, my name is... Charity Rose Henley
I'm just a doll, really... Blood Stained Pages
I am... Seventeen
A White Feather? Naturally.
I'll tell you a secret... Charity was conceived of and born in the proper way. She was raised the proper way, taught the proper way, lived the proper way. However, even at an age as young as five she showed signs of rebellion – and rebellion of the worst kind – as she grew it became more and more evident that young Charity knew just what a man was, and just what he was supposed to do. Her parents could do little to stop to growing amounts of outrageous flirting with whomever their daughter stumbled upon – not always limited to young men.
Charity was only thirteen when the maid walked in on a sight so beyond her that she instantly rushed to the girl’s parents. Young Charity had taken into her room one of her childhood friends, a young boy, and each were taking turns at pulling away items of their clothing. Charity was down to her bloomers when her mother rushed over and attempted to cover as much or her ivory skin as she could. The girl was instantly sent to Madam Lenora’s academy.
She arrived only months after Abigale, although she did not know it at the time, and looked up to the girl immensely. Not one to be shy Charity attempted to befriend Abigale only a few short months after her arrival. When the older girl first discovered the hole through the wall Charity was one of the first to venture outside. She has been a loyal friend and white feather ever since. She has learnt to be discreet about her nature, but Abigale knows her for who she is.
Do you have a mirror? Charity Yes, I'm different. Is it a crime? Charity is very liberated. She feels little shame or embarrassment about anything and finds amusement in taboos and making others uncomfortable. Although these traits dominate her personality deep down she simply wants to feel like she’s worth something to someone, she loves to feel pretty and she loves to feel like a woman.
You've heard that, have you? Well... I’ve slept with the groundsmen? True. I’ve never thrown a single tantrum? Also true. I have made some sharp comments as to the staffs personal habits and appearances to their faces? Also true. My punishment was hard. I have learnt. ______________________________________________________________________ Hello, my name is... Victoria Gladstone
I'm just a doll, really... Blood Stained Pages
I am... 14
A White Feather? Not yet.
I'll tell you a secret... I am the perfect child. I learnt my lessons faster than any other girl about, I am quiet and reserved yet maintain enough wit to fetch myself a handsome husband, and I am naturally graceful. Everyone who has ever ventured into my company has paid their respects to my parents with regard to me, and I am well known in many social circles.
I am, thus far, ahead of every other girl my age. But I want to be better. I want to attend Madam Lenora’s academy, and emerge from that secretive place a beautiful young woman, fit for the most handsome of princes. I want to be a strong, confident women, who knows her place within her life, and is not afraid to live that life. That is why I asked my parents to send me here.
Two days ago I walked through the gates. I have thrown myself upon my studies with the greatest enthusiasm. I have overheard conversation that seemed… stilted. As though the girls were speaking in private riddles. I am determined to figure it out.
Do you have a mirror? Victoria
Yes, I'm different. Is it a crime? I have found that when I am nervous or upset I will play with my hair in some manner or another – I may also wring my fingers or play about with a loose thread from my dress. In extreme circumstances I allow my shoulders to fall forward and I curl in on myself. When I am happy I am still, and sometimes I can be found humming to myself.
You've heard that, have you? Well... I’m a goody two shoes? Well I am. People also say I’m a little boring. I guess I must be. I don’t enjoy all that chatter about the weather either, but it seems a perfectly good conversation to have all the same. It allows the conversation to start, which can often be the hardest part.

Hello, my name is... Joan Frances
I'm just a doll, really... Overworkedandunderpaid
I am... Nineteen.
A White Feather? Oh dear God no. Please, try to refrain from mistaking me for one of those imbeciles in the future.
I'll tell you a secret... I guess you could say I came to Lenora’s Academy like many of the other girls. I was a trouble maker – aren’t we all?
My parents were very busy during my childhood. They were both extremely intelligent, and they held the hope that I would be the same. They sent me to the best educational institutions that money could afford.
When I was nine I began to realize the curriculum was not only easy, but boring. Intensely so. I stopped attending my schooling, much to the distress of my nannies. However, they refused to tell my parents, as they were under the impression that they would be blamed for my new rebellious qualities.
I began to associate with the ‘wrong people’ when I was ten. They were interested in new drugs, alcohol, and tobacco. They were hardly my own interests as I was too young for that sort of thing, but I grew very attached to the group of older hooligans. They became my friends. Even people as superior as myself need friends. I was very loyal to them.
One evening, my friends found themselves in a spot of trouble after they threatened the life of a local detective. When he resorted to calling the police, they sought out my house for refuge. Naturally, I let them in. One of the boys – Edmund was his name – was at the time under the influence of a new drug, and he died in my living room shortly after his arrival. Such an experience was, upon reflection, quite traumatic for a ten year old girl, but my friends knew what to do. They began to drag his body from the room, preparing to dump it somewhere inconspicuous. It did not seem strange to me, as I accepted everything they said. Unfortunately, it was at this moment that my parents returned to see the unfolding debacle and the called the police. Immediately, my friends were arrested. My parents were of a high social ranking, and ergo I escaped the harsh eyes of a courtroom. After this, however, I began a ‘downward spiral’ as my parents liked to call it. I called it my awakening.
They sent me to school after school, attempting in vain to make a proper lady of me. They all failed. Now I am in Madame Lenora’s Academy for Young Girls. They found this place when I was fifteen, and I’ve been here ever since. I suppose in a way it has succeeded. It has taught me the value of a façade.
Upon my first day here, I knew my enemies. Or rather, enemy. Abigail Luçon. Oh she’s so perfect. They used her as an example for everything. At first, I didn’t mind her so much, but after eleven months, the rumours started and things got a little weird.
I was invited to join the white feather, but upon learning of her involvement – or rather, her dictatorship – I declined. Of course, this hardly endeared me to any of the members, least of all Abigail. It was a mistake to irritate her the way I did, perhaps, when I called her a b*****d daughter… Well, it was true. Somebody needed to say it. Naturally, ever since we have been on rather atrocious terms. At first we used to fight, but as we grew older we merely began avoiding each other. That is the way, at Madame Lenora’s Academy for Young Girls, after all.
Do you have a mirror?

Yes, I'm different. Is it a crime? I am relatively intelligent – actually, that is an understatement. I am very intelligent, but I find it hard to apply myself. I think I’m better than everyone else – so? And I sometimes find myself unable to get out of arguments, in which case I sometimes may resort to physical violence – a bit of hair pulling and scratching, nothing too serious.
You've heard that, have you? Well... I’m a virgin? Yes, of course. Nobody is good enough for me. I’m trying to destroy the White Feather; completely untrue. Those idiots can manage to destroy their silly little organization all on their own. I loathe Abigail? True. I tried to kill her? False. I try to annoy her? Not any more. These days, we merely attempt ignorance in each other presence – at least in public. I’ve invented my own secret organization to rival the White Feather? No comment.

Hello, my name is... Adelaide Bregh I'm just a doll, really Kaze Kaiser Age: Seventeen A White Feather? Of course! I'll tell you a secret... I was born into a fairly prestigous family. I'm an only child, but my family was always happy. We had wealth and a respectable buisness, it sounds perfect right? Well, for thirteen years it was perfect, that is, until I found out my parents were leading a double life. My father left town often, and when he stayed in another town, he never stayed alone.Turns out the b*****d had four other wives. My mother on the other hand, was always the emotional type, and she just couldn't bear it when my father was away, so, she started fooling around. And then she started screwing around (which is just like fooling around, but without dinner), but when I found out about her mothers affair and her fathers cheating, I was imeadiately shipped off to the Academy. My folks were scared I'de tell the media, and our company would go bankrupt, the nerve! I've been at the school for a few years and as soon as the rumours went around that there was a secret organisation, I just had to be in. Quite honestly, ! hate the school. I haven't got some great desire to be a 'proper lady', and I'm definitely on the wrong side with most of the staff. After a semester at this dump, I was ordered to see the headmistress. After a long lecture about how I got an F on every angle of my report, she told me I'de have to fix myself up, or I was out. Well, I was going back to a home of cheating parents, so I devised a new way of getting the A's I wanted. The only reason I'm still attending the academy, is because I can always get the younger teachers to come around to my way of thinking, if you know what I mean. I wouldn't call myself a slut, I perfer to think of it as a different kind of education. Do you have a mirror? http://browse.deviantart.com/?q=victoriangirl&order=9&offset=264#/d2wsvdi Yes, I'm different. Is it a crime? I'm usually quite loud, and stupid. I hate most of the classes at the Academy, and therefore, I personally thinks of myself as the comic relief in a school full of know-it-all snobs. I fidget and make unnessesary noices when bored and I'll never shut up, when you get me in an intersting conversation. You've heard that, have you? Well... -I've been seen leaving the offices of various teachers past curfew? Well I'm not denying it, but it really depends on which teacher your talking about. -That my corset is always too tight, and my skirt is always a little high? Of course, but I would hardly call that a rumour anymore. -That its not only the male teachers I've been whoring around with? *Sigh*, the girls found out? Well I've obviously underestimated their intelligence then. It's true. -That as punishment for one particular incident, I was hung by my toes in the school basement for three hours? Oh please, what complete bull! I go back on what I said, these snob are morons! Can't girls come up with anything better to gossip about?
