The Home of the Page Family This small two bedroom home is the only place that Reed Page is able to afford off his very unstable income. The two bedrooms belong to Alastair and the other to Reed and his daughter. The house is kept quite clean with the exception of some of Erika's toys here and there. The main room is used as Reed's study and is normally kept off limits to the two kids while he is working.Residents:-Reed Page -Alastair Harris -Erika Page

Talna and Turner Hipp both headed up to the house with the air of a pair of salesmen rather than a friendly couple looking to greet the new resident family. In Talna's hands was a basket – hand woven and full to the brim with none other than turnips! It was the best vegetable, after all. Best fruit, too! And dessert! Breakfast! Dinner! Entree! It was the best at everything in their own humble opinions~! So, why not give the new townies the very best? Thankfully, the first batch of turnips had just recently finished growing, so they could afford to give away some of them to be friendly! The blond rearranged the turnips again in the exact way they were when she had originally left, making sure they appeared just as perfect as they were before! Every step had knocked on a little out of place and.. oh, it would just be catastrophic if she didn't fix it every time! She held back a sigh as one particular turnip refused to stay put, but, a few more moments of gently stuffing it in place later and they were beautifully set again! She smiled, turning her head to look at her husband happily with a nod to show they were ready to actually step onto the porch this time!

Walkingrightnext to his lovely wife was Turner. The moment they had learned that a new family of three had moved it, they both had known that they just had to go greet them in the most proper way! Not only was that Talna's job, but that was also their jobs as good neighbours. In fact, Turner was shocked that there wasn't a huge lineup in front of the house of town people all waiting to greet them! Unless... They were late? Nah~ They always were first to that sort of things! Without wasting a moment, the man knocked on the door three times (because that was the proper amount of knocks one should make) with his free hand. What was his other hand holding? Well, a bag of turnip seeds of course! There was nothing better that a bag of seed to start growing the best kind of vegetables yourself as a welcome gift! Oh, they were such good neighbours.

Today was another quiet day at the Page home. Without a certain young man and he's very... Boisterous music, Reed was able to sit an concentrate on writing for the time being. He really wasn't focused on what he was doing though. He had just gotten some a check from the editorial he writes for so he wasn't rushing on his book just yet. He just felt like relaxing, a lazy day so to say.
In the other room was young Erika seated on her father's bed. She was scribbling away in her coloring book while her father worked. She knew better than to bother him because he had told her countless times not to. But she didn't mind all to much, she liked coloring. She liked a lot of things, especially books. But she can't read so she ends up just trying to draw the stories she remembers Reed reading to her. It was quiet between the father and daughter. A regular quiet day.
That was until there was a knock at the door. The first knock heard in this house actually. Which kind of excited Reed. "Coming!" He called while picking himself up from his chair. He began to walk towards the door and passed by a mirror along the way. Jeans and a pull-over weren't the nicest clothes... But at least he wasn't in his pajamas. He made his way to the door and patted down his clothes once. Then in one motion he unlocked the door and opened it with a bright smile, "Yes?"

The first thing Talna noticed was the porch and all of the dust and dirt underneath her feet – oh, yes, there couldn't be a woman anywhere in this house! No self-respecting housewife would allow a porch to get so dirty! She tutted as they waited for someone to answer the door, Talna leaning over to Turner to whisper, “I guar-an-tee tha' no woman could be in this here house!” Just before the door opened and there stood a man, as if to further emphasize Talna's assumption. What good woman would let their husband answer the door during daylight? At night, she could understand, but it was a woman's duty to greet any guests with charm and grace! Not send their poor stressed man out to do it – he wasn't even dressed right! She stopped herself from shaking her head at the sight, forcing on a gentle, happy smile at the man. “Good mornin'! We heard ya'll moved in down here just a' little while ago and we thought we'd do tha' good thing an' greet ya'll!” She explained to the man, keeping her eyes on him though she really was curious about the interior.. No doubt it would be just as dirty as the porch was!

Turner had almost the same reaction as Talna. Oh, not about the porch, he couldn't care less about that, it was a woman's job to take care of the house, not a man like him. No, what surprised him was the man who answered the door! What kind of clothes were those! A man should be wearing working clothes! Weather they were for outside or inside, preferably outside, but what he was wearing were just so.. so.. Lazy! Oh, what was the world coming to? "Good mornin to ya! Like me wife said, ya'll been hiding here down like a groundhog in spring! We had to come and greet you ourselves." He informed the man with a bright smile. His right had was on his hips, giving him a confident attitude. They were still neighbours, they had to be nice to them even tho they disliked they depraved lifestyle. "Come on! Don't be all shy! We brought ya'll welcoming gifts!" A basket of freshly grown turnips and a bag of turnip seeds! The best gifts one could have! He'd let Talna give them to them. It was a housewife job to give the gifts. The husband's was to make, or buy then. "So we 'eard that ya'll were three living down here. Were's the good wife and yer kid?"

This would be the first. The first people to visit the page household. I'm pretty sure. Reed wasn't actually home a lot and spent the last couple of days exploring the town rather than meeting neighbors. He probably should have started with that first, but he wasn't to good at the whole 'polite' thing. But now he had to be polite. After all these two kind souls just came to welcome him with a basket of... Turnips... And a basket of... Turnip seeds... Well it was the thought that mattered. He could probably cook something up with the turnips, but he wasn't gardening. Ever. 'I guess I can give 'em to Erika for a little garden project she can work on...' Reed though to himself. But none of that mattered. This was the page family's first guess and he had to treat them with humbleness and respect. "Ah sorry about that" Reed began to talk after the man's first comment to him, "I'm usually out trying to get a feel for the town, plus I had to register my cousin for school. I didn't really have much time to meet the neighbors. So thank you for taking the time to visit." While he spoke he threw in a laugh to show he didn't mean any harm by not visiting the neighbors yet. He had meant to but things didn't always go his way. Then the man's third comment came into his ears, "Yes there's three of us, though it's just my daughter and my cousin, I'm not married." And with that Reed smiled at the two brightly and moved out of the doorway to invite them in, "Sorry, making you stand out there. Please come in, it must be dirty outside."

Well, at least he was polite. Talna couldn't help forgiving him for the porch if only because he was still single – something that had her raising her brows and turning her head up with a smile at her husband. Oh, he knew what to do! Young, healthy, handsome, single man moving in – it was hardly a mystery what she was getting at. It would have just been more perfect if he had a little dog and owned a farm instead of a quaint townhouse. Oh, well, they would have to take whatever the Goddess gave them to work with! She held the basket and seeds out to the man so he could take it, letting Turner finish speaking with him while she waited patiently – as a good wife should~! A little girl without a mother? Oh, the poor dear! She already had several of her own, but she couldn't keep her maternal nature to herself – especially with a motherless little girl! “We understand – ya'll must have some trouble settlin' down here,” Especially without a woman to help take care of the child while they moved in.. Oh, really, how did they survive?! “Oh!” She blushed as a thought hit her, covering her mouth with her free hand while she still held the basket, “Where are our manners? I'm Talna Hipp, and this is mah husband, Turner Hipp – from the Lil' Turnip Farm.” She informed him pleasantly while she waited for Turner to come in first, at which point she would follow after.

"Nice to meet ya'll" Replied Talna's husband, blushing as much as a male could blush after realizing that both of them had forgot to introduced themselves! He glaced at his wife, seeing that she was looking toward him and cought on to what she was thinking imediatly. Of course, a young single man like him couldn't just stay inside doing nothing. This situation had lasted long enough and there was nothing better than noisy neighbours to solve it! But it would wait... a moment. For now, they had to be proper visitor and come inside the hous and compliment it! "Oh my! Nice home you have! Like Mamma always said: You never know if da egg got a chick inside until you cracked it open!" That had been the day Turner had chose to be a vegetable farmer and not a rancher. Finding the chicken fetus in his scambled egg had traumatized him as a child. "Would ya'll be so nice as to call in yer cousin? We'd like to meet all ya lot!"

Reed smiled, they truly were polite. Well, he did know he was moving to a more gracious community when moving from the big city to such a small island. It was a nice change. When the women introduced the two Reed laughed nervously, how could he forget to introduce himself? That was probably the whole point of the visit, "I'm Reed Page" He introduced himself and than gave a quick 'thank you' to Turner on his complement of the house.
"And as for my cousin..." Reed sighed, rubbing the back of his head unconsciously, "School's probably over by now so he's probably exploring the town." Leading them in Reed looked around the house. Luckily it wasn't too dirty. Just an unopened box here and there from the move. He usually kept a clean house. "Erika! Come meet the neighbors," He called in a normal voice. The house was small so there was no reason to yell.
With her father's call, Erika plopped off the bed and brushed off her dress. It was a simple white dress, however it was nice enough for company. She hurried to her father's side. Not to excited to meet new people, but happy that her dad called her. Running up behind him, she peered over the right side of Reed to see the people. She clutched onto her father's pant-leg and bowed her head down a bit, "Hello..."

Oh, finally, they were going inside! Talna had just been boiling over with anticipation~ It was somewhat masochistic of her that she wanted to see what undoubtedly would be a filthy house, but.. Oh, the idea of offering to clean up some week old mess was so fun sounding! It would take her hours of work, most likely, while Mr. Page went out with her husband for the mandatory – well, he would find out soon. Before she got a good look, she paused to give Turner a quick, somewhat worried look. Oh, she knew how he felt about chickens! She was his wife – why shouldn't she? He didn't seem to get upset, though, so she moved on to look at the home. But, to her own disappointment, surprise, and curiosity, his house was actually pretty clean! She creased her brow as the little girl came out – she couldn't have done all this! The man was hardly dressed tidily either, so he couldn't have.. Odd. She tilted her head slightly in wonder as she surveyed the home from where she stood, landing her eyes again on the little girl.
She smiled at the youngster. Well, at least she was in a proper dress like a young lady should! “Why, hello, young'n – aren't ya just the cutest lil' turnip?” She said sweetly to the child, giving a small wave at her. Oh, she was just so cute! Quiet and demure like a proper little lady! It was a wonder he managed to raise her to be like that~! She looked back up at Reed as she finished greeting the girl, “Don't ya worry one bit. I'ma sure that we'll run into yer cousin real soon like.” She stated confidently – it was a small town, after all! It was hard not to run into people.

Oh! Look at her! She was so cute! She would become such a fine bachelorette in a near future! Who knows, maybe if one of his kid would have became a PC instead of an NPC, he could try to match them together! Kids had to start soon after all! You didn't want to be the kid of man to still being single at 25! Oh, that would be such a shame! Such a question on it's manhood! "She is one fine lil' lady, she sure is!" He complimented the little girl. He looked around the room some more, knowing full well that you couldn't go into uninvited rooms without being at least greenheart, so he would take as much as he could from this place alone.. before going back to buisiness. "Well, that's all fine, but we ain't here just to snoop around, now are we. Come on, Reed! Go get yerself properly dressed! Ya can't expect a young girl to fall in love with ya'll looking like that. I'll show you around' town and hopefully you'll meet some respectable woman to marry! Now, now! Hurry! Go get dress or am I dragging yerself like that?"Talna could take care of the little girl... and find out where his cousin was. Because he too should be given a tour of the town!

Reed braced himself for the couple's comments toward Erika. She never did take well to new people. And being the center of attention made her squirm. With each comment she clutched onto her fathers pants harder and harder, and then hid her face on the back of his leg. Reed sighed, patting her on the head behind him. "I'm sorry she doesn't do well with new people" He apologized on his daughter's behalf.
Then came the second little speech from the turnip bringing man. He wasn't sure what to do. Get dressed? Young girls? Being shown around town? Well the last one wasn't so weird. But, why go out trying to find a mate? Reed had better things to do. "I'm sorry mister, but I'm not looking to marry any time soon" He told him honestly, "Besides, walking around town with my little girl... I'm sure the young ladies wouldn't be interested in seeing me." The dad thing went over with moms, but not really with the younger generation.

Talna raised an eyebrow at that, her hands going to her hips as her posture simply said disbelief at the male for even saying that. He wasn't looking to marry? He had a little girl! A nice house with probably a double bed in his room – and he didn't want a wife? Why would he upgrade like that if he didn't plan on marriage?! It just didn't make any sense! She glanced over at Turner to see if he was getting the same thing she was before she looked back to the man. “Why would ya say a thang like that?” She stated bluntly, because she couldn't figure any other way to put it. It was just downright silly of him! But, she wasn't going to argue with a man, not when Turner was there to do it for her. She did, though, decide to speak up to qualm those silly little fears of his, “I'll watch lil Erika! Don't ya fret – we've got four lil ones back on the farm; I can handle mahself.” She lowered the arms on her hips to her sides again and gave him yet another assured smile. It was just another little girl, after all, and Talna knew how to handle children, shy or not! “Ya just get goin'. Mah husband can show ya the town, at least, Reed.”
