Metal and rock are general terms, just so know know. There are tons of subcategories so I may end up suggesting some that you won't like~
In general for metal, there's Disturbed; some suggestions I have are "Stupify," "Indestructable" and "The Night".
For general rock, Breaking Benjamin is a nice start. "The Diary of Jane," "Dance With the Devil" and "Blow Me Away"
Now for some not-so-general stuff. A lot of this has screaming; you have been warned.
Keep in mind that none of the songs in this post are of Satanic inspiration. I can look for some if you'd like, though. :U
Kamelot is a power metal band. Try "The Haunting (Somewhere in Time)," "Love You to Death" and "Ghost Opera"
The Agonist is a metalcore band. "Business Suits and Combat Boots," "And Their Eulogies Sang Me to Sleep" and "Thank You Pain"
For death metal, Suicide Silence. "Wake Up," "The Fallen" and "... And Then She Bled"
Light This City is a melodic death metal band. "The Static Masses," "Remains of the Gods" and "The Unwelcome Savior"
Extreme metal-wise, try Gojira. "Vacuity," "Love" and "The Way of All Flesh"
