Thought I might take it upon myself to make the Introduction Thread for the Guild. You know the deal! New members, make an Intro Post for yourselves! 3nodding My name is Esaal(well, on Gaia, it is). I'm known in the RM Community as Kurysu, Ultyma, Mako, Mythril, and more recently, Ragnyrok. I have been using RPG Makers since 95 was translated by Don Miguel. I am Staff at RPGCrisis.net, and a valued member of RPGCreation.net. My current project, Eterna Legacy, can be seen at my website: http://heroikdev.wordpress.com

I'm commonly known around as Pavilo or Palinor I am not known in any game maker communities as I only began about two months ago.
What else is there to say? Nothing I know of.

Okay, so like most web nerds (not an insult) I have multiple pen names all over, but here, I am Shahirah. Um, so I love RPG's to the point of obsession, so now I'm looking into making my own! I guess that makes me a noob in the MAKERS realm, haha. Anyway, I'm hoping to learn a lot and maybe make some good friends / contacts!
Shahirah xx

I think it's so great that you have all those downloadable RPG Makes (and btw, great web design!) and such, but maybe you should make an info page? I mean, like, a page where you post things for the noobs (like me stare ). I know for a fact my brother is into ORPGs and stuff, but he doesn't have a clue what RPG means! I think it would be great to have an index/glossary type thing that just explains what things are. Shahirah xx

Well I stumble upon this guild here and play around Rpg Maker VX. I am not that good at making longer games, and mostly dabble with smaller games.
oh yeah I almost forgot ReverOfRaven, or Lunar I guess would also work.

Hello biggrin I am Amelia, and the first RPG maker I got was in 2001 been messing around with it since then, I seem better at the pixel art than I am at making games, hard to stay focused, would be better as part of a team, just started messing with VX it does have some improvements but I miss the 8-16bit charm RPG maker 2000-2003 had.

I hear you on that, I'm mostly an editor and spriter but I'm also fine with plotting and character creation. My weakest points are scripting and mapping. I really should learn more how to script since it would help in creating a more interactive game for the players, but it's just something I don't really have down. Mapping, it's just trying to figure out good layouts and such that will allow for more hidden passages, more puzzle aspects, and so on. Granted I could use some work on puzzles, but that's something I don't fault myself on. Puzzles are hard, the other two are me just being somewhat lazy.

I just wish it was realtime battle style, like Secret of Mana, and the same "ring menu" system that it used. mapping, is fun, just yeah, the final fantasy 3 style that rpg maker is just seems so redundant, I wish I could make something more arcadeish, and set in modern times, but not look terrible.

It would be fun to do an action RPG, but I would prefer it to be like Terranigma. I really like the visuals that RPG Maker VX has, though I would like simplifying it all into sprites for the battle images and the different effects. Ideally I'd be able to recreate much of the mechanics from Final Fantasy IV, it has an in-depth system under the surface that has some really interesting effects and strategies. Other games whose battle mechanics I like are obviously Chrono Trigger, and then there's Radiant Historia which has a fantastic battle system that would be a blast to use.

I just find it hard to stay focused on projects, in the ennd, no one will ever play it and its not like I could sell it or something. sad

Hi everyone~
I'm Pirate In A Jar, Pirate for short. I've been interested in RPGMaker and similar programmes for about four or five years and I only recently began working with RPGMaker specifically. I enjoy games with puzzle elements, so even the RPG Maker isn't used for RPGs haha!
Because most of my games are satiracal and center on popular mediums like Harry Potter, music bands, etcetera, I keep them to myself so I'm not part of any community or RPG producing group.
It's nice to meet you all and I hope we can learn a lot from one another!

Hi, I'm Dakio, I'm new to this RPG maker scene, I joined because maybe I could get some tips, and in turn help out any way I could :3
I would like to take a stab at final fantasy type RPG's, the only RPG make I have, is an old PSX game called RPG maker.

Uhm, Hi there.
Well, I started making RPGs on the PS2 with RPG Maker 2 and 3. I don't know if I was any good, but I can't sprite worth a darn, am at coding level 0, but love thinking of bits of story to spin together for a game.
I'm currently using RPG Maker VX, I believe. Also, I'm sixteen, if that makes any difference.

Hello, my name is Rob. On most RPG Maker forums I'm known by either "The Dude" or "Deranged".
I use RMXP alot. I have been using it since it first came out. I don't consider myself an expert at it, but I know my way around some things.
I'm 20 years young, but I act like a 14 year old most of the time.
I'm very good at finding things. I can map a little, and finding event systems from other websites is like the only thing I do online anymore. I'm pretty bored.
I'm currently working on my open-world game known as Awaken, so yeah. The demo is almost complete. Thanks insomnia! biggrin
