To start with, I know there are at the very least about ... *hmm* 500,000 zombie role plays? But most don't go anywhere. They just run around aimlessly.
"Oh no, Zombies ? ~"
"Oh no, we, good people with sanity, are still alive."
"Oh no, what should we do?" and la-dee-la-dee-la-bloody-da! ;]
That's mostly what I hear and read, then again they always start in mid-crisis. So in this one, a group of friends, acquaintances, family members, etc gather to migrate to a military base, but then what? So much can happen in so little time. Its for you the reader, writer, role-player, and conspirator to figure the future of America and maybe the world.

• In late April, a cold front took over the East Side of the United States of America. News Flashes were infectious to every channel as if they were open wounds. All reports repeated the same news but still families watched in horror at the rate of the increasing attacks. The attacks were known as mental illnesses but nothing more was said to ease their worries.
• One by one, cities, villages, both small and large began to vanish and blocked from new human hands. Relatives rushed to families and out of reach from the spreading illness. Most rushed to the quarantined areas in doubt and love to find sons, daughters, sisters, brothers, and friends. All were either quarantined themselves to never be seen again, caught in time, vanish, or shoot at sight.

• In early May, the entire East Side of the US was quarantined. New York was demolished to rumble. The following states placed barb wire, heightened security, 25 foot concrete walls and search lights on the border line to the East: Ohio,Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama and the South East part of Canada. Military squads were sent in to "Help" the people that were left behind. Bases were established in each base from small to large facilities to examine the mutating "people" in safety while "sheltering" those that come for protection.
• No one knows how this pandemic erupted but the infection spreads through out the body through bodily fluids and can take over the body in the time limit of 24 hours. Animals are not infected the same as humanity. The symptoms have the likeliness of Rabies but of a higher, and much more dangerous scale. It is not known if animals can transfer the illness to humans because every victim that found themselves in the grip of a "rapid" animal, they never live to tell the tale.
• Rumor spread that these things that attack and convert people are that of myth: Zombies, those of the living dead. Families still await the return of their loved ones, only now in deep fear. So the question is: do you have the skills to survive?
