PERSONALITY⇛There's not much that's special about Kunou Iroppoi's personality, really. She's just your basic, average criminal who stuck her nose in where it didn't belong and ended up joining a group she was sure was destined for power. Nope, nothing to see here at all. At least, not if you don't include her masochistic tendencies and sadistic views, or her habit of changing her personality to try and suit someone if she finds them too difficult to woo. Not that she'd tell you she ever had someone give her a hard time when it came to getting them to let her have her way with them. Because, in her mind, she didn't - they only wanted her to chase them, that was all. They always wanted her.
Though she is quite happy to do the leading, she also is pleased with being a follower, as she is quite indecisive and tends to flip flop from one favorite to the other constantly. Despite this, if she feels she is needlessly being bossed around, she may very likely snap. Her inability to choose is also evident in her sexual preference, in which she doesn't care if one is male or female so long as they're good looking and know how to handle themselves when it comes to 'fun times'.
Kunou is intelligent and thoughtful, able to think under pressure and develop plans as she needs them. She also has a wit as sharp as her blade, which can sometimes make for a very sarcastic lusty woman. Her observant nature has allowed her to rise in the ranks in Tasogare to become the group's tactician, and though she acts as if it was a given that she would become such, she is actually quite proud of this role.
When it comes to battle, she's ruthless and violent, and tends to get viciously angry when she's taunted or made fun of by her opponent. She has a bad habit of avoiding throwing blows to the face of her enemy if she finds them attractive, and this will be obvious enough by her comments during battle - which will often be along the lines of how she hates to waste such a good looking person. In her mind, looks are all one needs in the world. Oh, and tongues. And maybe fingers, because she finds those important, too.
BIOGRAPHY⇛Kunou had an odd childhood, though perhaps it wasn't so odd for a kunoichi. Starting as far back as she remembers, she lived in an orphanage until she was seven, when a middle-aged couple adopted her and brought her home. The young girl was quite fond of her new family, her father a shinobi and her mother a plain house wife, both who gave her everything she ever wanted and more. They even enrolled her in the ninja Academy because she said she wanted to, even though her mother thought 'a woman should be a woman, not a warrior'. But her adopted mother was impressed at the intelligence she showed, and her father told her she'd be an incredible tactician someday because of the flexible way she thought things through, looking at them from each different angle.
When she was twelve, not long after she graduated from Academy with flying colors, her biological parents returned to the village to get her, and while she was happy to finally meet them, she didn't wish to leave the adoptive parents she'd grown so close to. However, after encouragement from both of her foster guardians that they'd see her again, she did end up going home with her true parents, only to hear three weeks later that the father she'd grown up with died in battle and her previous mother committed suicide from it, unable to handle the grief.
On top of this, her biological parents hated each other, and she constantly felt the strain of their relationship falling on her shoulders as she would argue with them not to fight anymore. That lack of love was what caused her to grow up to be the way she is, constantly looking for physical affection to try and take the place of the emotional affection she never got as a child - or, at least, never got after her parents came to take her away from those who adopted her. In order to get away from them, she put a lot of time and effort into her training, spending a lot of time with her father (by himself, since he was standable when he wasn't around her mother) to develop the potential of the Kekkei Genkai he'd informed her she had inherited from him. He taught her to control her Yin and Water chakra to channel Torrent Release jutsus, which she focused on a lot during her practice sessions. She became stronger quickly, though she also became increasingly more hostile to her teammates with each passing week. Despite this, her team managed to work together under Kunou's planning and tactics in their village's Chuunin exam, and she passed along with her teammates at the young age of thirteen.
When Kunou got a bit older, though she was mentally scarred from the actions of her parents' cold hatred towards one another, at the age of sixteen - approximately four years after she'd been readopted by her biological parents - she easily managed to become a Jounin due to her intelligence and Kekkei Genkai, but by this point she was corrupt and heartless. Just a week before her exam, her boyfriend had left her on a blunt and harsh note; it wasn't easy to deal with the fact that he told her he just didn't care about her, and never had. It wouldn't have been so bad if she hadn't thought he truly loved her, due to his actions a month or so before. Though she was young, her mind and heart were frequently conflicted due to her awkward upbringing, and when her boyfriend told her that if she loved about him she'd lay with him, she believed him. After all, what did she know about love? She never had any before. For him to tell her he never loved her after letting her do this, she felt she could never love again.
An unstable female walked away from the Jounin exam, and she began sleeping with anyone who would agree to it in an attempt to find if she could 'love' them, since her significant other had originally told her that was what it meant to love someone. While she enjoyed it immensely, it felt empty and devoid of emotion. Their constant mention of how beautiful she was made her vain and cocky, and she preened more and more each day. It was a pitiful existence, and no one understood why the little girl they remembered being so happy-go-lucky had turned into something so 'dirty' and 'repulsive'. A couple years later, at the age of eighteen, once she thought she felt an inkling of the feeling she remembered having for that boy, and without thinking, told a man she'd only just met (and just gone to bed with) that she loved him. His response made her snap, as he told her that it took more than what they'd just done to love someone, and that he wasn't looking for a relationship. Unable to handle the fact that he'd conflicted what she'd always thought since she'd been told the first time, as well as the fact that she was looking for that feeling of 'love' so she could find someone who would maybe stay in a relationship with her, she ended up using her jutsus to slaughter the man.
After this, she fled from the village, also killing anyone who questioned the blood all over her. It was then that she realized she enjoyed it, she enjoyed killing them for no reason. When a shinobi attacked her for murdering his wife, she also enjoyed the pain she felt when he sent her flying into the side of a house. One little incident, and it made her go numb to everything, turning her world so inside out that she began finding pleasure in things that she shouldn't. For two years the Jounin ran, hid, and slaughtered anyone who found her, and when she heard about Tasogare, she insisted on joining to try and gain that power, and is now their tactician. Maybe power was what one needed? To gain that thing called 'love'?
APPEARANCE⇛Kunou has whitish-silver hair, which she often ties in two looped braids on either side of the back of her head. She leaves her bangs crooked, one side longer than the other, so she can properly frame her thin face and high cheekbones. Her amber eyes are a shocking contrast to her pale skin, and the flower in her hair changes from day to day - though it usually remains a type of lily. Her clothes are almost always skimpy, and she's even modified her Tasogare cloak so it only goes to her knees, and the neckline shows cleavage. It also hangs off of her shoulders and hugs her curves to show off her figure.
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES⇛Her strong points are mid- to long-range fighting, though she's not the best at hand-to-hand combat. She's excellent with ninjutsu and capable of some genjutsu, but her taijutsu lacks because despite the fact that she's lithe and agile, she's too thin to pack much of a punch. Outside of fighting, her silver tongue and quick wit help her win in most arguments, whether she's right or wrong, and they tend to get on peoples' nerves. She thinks of her body as her best asset, using it to get her way, outside of battle and in.
