Sesshomaru was resting, as Rin teased Jaken for her own amusement.
The scent of miasma and Inuyasha's blood caused his amber eyes to open.
Rising to his feet and walking in the direction of his sibling's scent, he spoke to his group.

"Jaken, watch Rin.
I will be back shortly."

With this said, he soon vanished from sight and found Inuyasha.
His condition had him worried.
It was clear to him that he was in a great deal of pain, yet was forcing himself to keep walking, so his friends wouldn't fret over him.
He then steadied him when it appeared that he was about to fall and carefully lifted him up, holding him to his chest.
Turning on his heel, the taiyoukai returned to his camp with his wounded younger brother.

He looked down at Inuyasha, not likeing how weak he was.
The taiyoukai sat down near the fire and reclined against Ah-Uhn with Inuyasha laying against him.

"Rin, look through the bags attached to Ah-Uhn's saddle and find the medicine, bandages, and a cloth.
Jaken, take the wooden tub from the largest bag and fill it with water."

He moved his tail to curl gently around him, so he may stay warm and be more comfortable.

Sesshomaru gently held him down.

"Don't move, little brother.
You'll make your wounds worse if you continue to push yourself.
Just allow yourself to relax and get some rest."

He saw Rin had set the requested supplies beside them and Jaken had returned with the water.
Placeing the cloth in the water first, he carefully pulled Inuyasha's Fire Rat haori and undershirt down to examine the wounds.
The taiyoukai silently promised Naraku a slow and agonizing demise at what he saw.
Shoving the thought aside, he gently began cleaning the wounds before he could apply the medicine.

Sesshomaru applied the special medicine that would both numb the pain and prevent infection.
He then bandaged the wounds.
The taiyoukai had felt there were broken ribs and removed his Tenseiga, handing it to his little brother.

"Inuyasha, I want you to hold the Tenseiga.
It should be able to piece together your broken ribs and heal them.
There is also a hole in one of your lungs and it will also heal, so long as you hold the fang."

Seeing the water was red, he then gave Jaken an order.

"Jaken, dispose of the water and refresh it."

Sesshomaru looked down at his sibling, while Jaken did his biding, grumbling over why he was caring for the hanyou.
He gently laid his hand on Inuyasha's chest and allowed some of his aura to seep into his body to soothe the accidentally inflicted pain.
The end of his tail was then used to help him hold onto the Tenseiga.

Once the imp returned, he redipped the cloth in the fresh water.
Sesshomaru then softly dabbed the cool article of fabric against his sibling's sweat slicked and fevered face.

"You're feverish, little brother.", He told him simply.

The taiyoukai looked him dead in the eye.

"Only a coward would kill someone when they cannot defend themselves.
Besides, knowing that you've pushed yourself this hard with those wounds is something father would have done.
I have no desire to truely destroy that small fragment of him.
Instead of trying to kill you, I've been testing your strength and have tried to push your limits, so you'd become stronger.
I may be your brother, but I've never truely been permited to be so."

He softly held his shoulder in protest to his actions.

"If you move, you'll reopen and possibly tear your wounds.
Let yourself rest, Inuyasha.
Your body needs it or it will take much longer for you to recover."

Sesshomaru then laid the cloth on his forehead and looked away from him, so he may have time to think without being observered.
