Hawthorne Heights is a melodic/indie rock/post hardcore band that formed in Dayton, Ohio in June of 2001. The band was originally known as "A Day In The Life" but changed its name as its music and lineup also changed. JT Woodruff is the frontman on vocals and guitar, Matt Ridenour is on bass, Eron Bucciarelli on drums, and Casey Calvert and Micah Carli on guitar.

Hawthorne Heights' unusual mix of three guitar players, a bass player, and a drummer opens up unique opportunities for live guitar harmonies and counter-melodies.

Band Members
Eron Bucciarelli - Drums
Casey Calvert - Backing Vocals, Guitar
Micah Carli - Guitar
Matt Ridenour - Vocals, Bass
JT Woodruff - Lead Vocals, Guitar

Hawthorne Heights released an album entitled "The Silence in Black and White" in 2004 on Victory. The song "Ohio is for Lovers", which was released as their first major single, was at one point bundled in .mp3 format with Winamp. Another version of this album, "The Silence in Black and White: Limited Edition", was released with 7 bonus tracks and a DVD.

The band has recently finished recording their second album, "If Only You Were Lonely", which is scheduled for release on February 28, 2006. This album also features two separate covers, a man and a woman sleeping alone in their beds. The lead single for the second album is "Saying Sorry."

Hmm.. useful sana google.. Pero sige..
Eto na po.. wink

Indie rock is a genre of alternative rock that primarily exists in the indie underground music scene. The term is sometimes used interchangeably with indie music as a whole, though more specifically implies that the music meets the criteria of being rock, as opposed to indie pop or other possible matchups. These criteria vary from an emphasis on rock instrumentation (electric guitars, bass guitar, live drums, and vocals) to more abstract (and debatable) rockist constructions of authenticity.

"Indie rock" is shorthand for "independent rock," which stems from the general rule that most of its artists are signed to independent record labels, rather than major record labels. It is not strictly a genre of music (although it is often used to reference the lo-fi sound of specific bands such as Pavement), but is often used as an umbrella term covering a wide range of artists and styles, connected by some degree of allegiance to the values of underground culture, and (usually) describable as rock music.
