Nozomi Boisu was born mute, and his parents abandoned him in a hospital when he was only five due to being tired of having children cover their house in eggs and toilet paper. For years Nozomi has been alone and wanting to find someone who would love him, but nobody in the hospital wanted to watch him and those who volunteer just quit as soon as they hear that he is mute. They think Nozomi is just a spoiled brat, but in truth all he wants is someone to love him.
That's when ~A~ comes in. In desperate need of job experience and a better reputation, ~A~ applies as a volunteer for the hospital. The only spot left is the position to take care of Nozomi, but rumors had it that he was spoiled. Even so, ~A~ doesn't care and he goes ahead and take the position. When he meets Nozomi, is he really doing this job for the heck of it or is it love at first sight?Rules♠ No content above PG-13 ♠ Please be active ♠ Try not to god-mod ♠ No text talk, since the decoding is annoying ♠ Minimize swearing ♠ Most of the time, at least two paragraphs per post ♠ One-paragraph posts are allowed, just not a continuous pattern ♠ If you're interested, please PM a profileCharacter SkeletonMy favorite singer: (username) I want to say: (Name) I'm this old: (16+) In a relationship, I'd be: (USS) I'd say: (Personality and History) You see me:

Sato became deaf at the age of 5. After that he tended to keep to himself more so the other kids wouldn't find out about his disability. Over the years he got good at reading lips. He still doesn't tell many people that he is deaf so those who don't know think he spaces out a lot when they wouldn't talk to his face. Sato wants to be able to help other children who are growing up with disabilities now which is why he got the job at the hospital. You see me:

Sato Miyagi arrived at his first day volunteering at the hospital. He got his assignment and was happy to see it was a guy about his age who was mute. Since he wanted to help people with disabilities this was perfect for him. But then he noticed the nurse who gave him the assignment said something about spoiled. He assumed she meant Nozomi but either way he wouldn't always get to work with nice people so it would be fine.
He read over Nozomi's information and was starting to think he had misunderstood the nurse, How could a guy who was abandoned at the age of five be spoiled. He took the folder and found Nozomi's room. He smiled walking in.
"Hi I'm Sato Miyagi. I'm a new volunteer here. Do you know sign language?"

Nozomi had been staring out the window before the newcomer had walked in, and he sure was surprised when said person greeted him. Most would have walked in and muttered something about getting today over with.
The mute wasn't sure how he should answer Sato. The question he asked was simple enough, just a 'yes' or 'no' question, but he found himself quite frozen. Should he shake his head? He didn't know sign language, after all, and he wanted to respond somehow.

When Nozomi didn't answer Sato moved closer. "Are you deaf too?" He spoke and signed. He had hoped he didn't sound rude asking like that. He figured his chart should have said he was deaf as well as mute if he was but maybe nobody bothered to find out.
Sato took a seat and waited to see if Nozomi would respond to this question. He was starting to worry now that Nozomi had no way that he communicated with others.

Nozomi shook himself out of his stupor and quickly shook his head and pointed to his throat. He then attempted to make a writing motion, hoping Sato would know he would like something to write on.
So far, Sato didn't seem to be hostile. If anything, he acted more concerned than most volunteers had. Like he actually wanted to help the mute.

Sato looked around and noticed a dry erase board. He picked it up and handed it too Nozomi. He was happy that there was some way for them to communicate. It would have been really horrible if Nozomi had no way to talk to people.

Nozomi gratefully took the board. Thanks, he wrote. You're really nice, Sato. A smile nearly crept its way to his face, but he wasn't sure if he should let it appear. He had only just met the other, after all.

"Thank you." He smiled. "You seem quite nice too. I should tell you I'm deaf so even if you scream at the top of your lungs I won't hear you." He realized Nazomi ma not be as comfortable with his disability as he was and not appreciate the joke. "I'm sorry if that to insensitive to you."

Nozomi did somewhat flinch, but tried not to pay much attention to it. I don't mind. You didn't mean anything by it, I'm sure, he wrote with a smile. So, you're like me, then? Having a disability, I mean.

He nodded. "Yep. I lost my hearing when I was five. But I learned how to read lips and learned sign language. I can teach you sign language if you ever wanted to learn."

That would be nice. That way, we can communicate without my arm getting tired. If he could giggle, Nozomi surely would.

"Ok I'll sign while I talk. I think that would be easier and more enjoyable than the way I learned." He signed and spoke.

Okay! Nozomi wrote. For a mere few minutes of knowing one another, he was already getting comfortable with Sato.

Sato smiled. Nozomi was much nicer than the nurse said. "So why don't you tell me about yourself?"
