Chakra Points ↝280/280↜ Akio had been stumbling through the streets for quite some time now. It was dark and he was just a little bit drunk so he had fallen already more then just the once. But the thing that worked most in his favor was the fact that he had built up a sort of tolerance to the poison and his natural "grace" and by grace when it came to Akio it meant being able fall over and break doors down without actually coming to any real harm himself. But such was the charm of the dark haired man. He had been away for quite some time on missions and training, and there was only one thing that he wanted to do when he had been away for that long...And that thing was drinking. And also of course maybe picking up a few new female companions along the way. The twenty something dark haired young man was beginning to gain quite the reputation around these parts as a womanizer, which was part of the reason that he enjoyed going away on missions because no one was aware of his reputation and it made his many frivolous flings that always inevitably ended up flung so much simpler. There was only one person who he could ever actually see himself possibly having a relationship with and the both of them were simply far too bull headed to ever work in such a way, in his opinion anyway. So for now he kept himself happy and busy with drinking, even though he had the sneaking suspicion that he was forgetting something and he would pay dearly for it in the not to distant future, his most pressing issue right now was the fact that his bottle was now empty and he needed to refill it.
The mans deep blue eyes scanned the different stalls, buildings and shops. His vision was admittedly a tad blurry but he found it a simple enough task to force his legs to move in the right direction, walking over to the local bar and entering, he was a familiar face here so as soon as he made his entrance and the barman caught sight of him he had smiled and already begun pouring Akio a glass. This was something that he could very much appreciate as it made things just that little bit easier on him and he liked to think that even despite his reputation that people around here still respected him for his decent level of skill and generally kind heart. He may have had many flings, but if he could still remember them after the drunken stupor was over he tended to at the very least remain on good terms with them afterwards. He was after all a man with a heart of gold and he never simply used people just for the sake of it even though he probably could do if it so pleased him. It didn't take him long to get into his usual grove and after he was filled with some much needed dutch courage and in even less time after that he was already busying himself playing tonsil hockey with one girl while still surrounded by several others. He was starting to get the feeling that something terrible was about to happen again, but he brushed it off as nothing. The night was young after all.

≮ J o n i n σғ K i r i g a k u r e ≯ ====================================================== ±: A tall yet elegantly poised twenty-something woman strode into the bar, emerald eyes scanning the area with contempt. If he was anywhere, he would be here. She clenched her jaw tightly as she attempted to shove her way inconspicuously through a small crowd of drunkards who were slurring happily to each other which clawed right at her bone. This whole atmosphere made her stomach churn, and she hated the insolent imbeciles who thrived on it, as it if was all they could cling to in their pathetic lives. She pitied them, at the same time struggled the urge to punch them out of the way. She couldn't afford to start a fight, so she forced a smile and slid her way through the small huddle. The place reeked of booze, and a cheap misty smoke clung to the ceiling complimented by dull lighting. Clinking of glasses and boisterous laughs echoed around the room, mixed with low hums of voices that buzzed in her ears that it was almost overwhelming.
She placed a weary hand on her forehead and winced as she narrowed her eyes to scan through the huddles of people and smoke. She wanted to find him, reprimand him, kill him then get the hell out of there. No, wait. She'd find him, yell his head off, torture him then castrate him. This wasn't the first time he had done this, and she was just about at her breaking point. She absolutely despised waiting and was way more patient with him than she would have anyone else, which was strange. She'd try to ponder why she was so patient with him, but it was like a firewall blocked her from her inner thoughts on things, which she hated. She hated not being able to understand and feel like a normal being. She definitely wasn't as bad as she was when she was younger, but there was still something there. Something was eating at her. Was it some emotion she had never experienced and was unaware of? She didn't know. All she could do was swallow it down and focus the task at hand.
An emotion she was very familiar with, was burning in the pit of her stomach, pushing at her sides ready to break the seams. She flexed her fingers a few times while shoving her way through the intoxicated crowds, looking for a familiar male with long black hair. She looked for the nearest huddle of booze-ridden females, which was most likely where he would be. Something about that very thought made something else crawl under her skin. She didn't like it one bit. She clutched her stomach uneasily with her left hand, when she scanned her eyes over a particularly interesting group. She clenched her fist when she spotted a familiar shade of black practically sucking the face of some chick. She sighed irritably as she shook her head. She was fumed now, she was pissed. You could see it on her face. And she didn't care. She stomped off in his direction, her hair whipping violently with the powerful steps she was taking. "Move," she mumbled under her breath, shoving relentlessly viciously through oblivious drunkards standing around talking about irrelevant crap with red faces. Well, the crap certainly wasn't important to her but it might have been to them. More imbeciles.
She approached the small huddle and stood there with a hand on her hip, pursing her lips. Some of the girls noticed her, but Mr.Akio who was too busy playing tonsil tennis to notice her. Her face was red with fury, he was here, getting drunk and with a group of bimbos instead of meeting up for important training with her? She was literally going to castrate him. She cleared her throat and without a second thought, walked past the group with an outstretched hand, clutching the boy's collar tightly with an enclosed fist. She walked calmly with a bemused expression on her face, trailing the black haired male behind her, purposely dragging him roughly. He wouldn't be able to break away no matter how hard he tried. She clenched her teeth and spoke in a low, intimdiating threatening manner. "I'm going to kill you. What the hell were you thinking?!" She dragged him off into a discreet corner burrowed in dust, where no one would really notice them. She threw him against the wall and stood in front of him with a reprimanding pose as if a mother was about to scold a child. It was taking all her will power to stop herself hitting him then and there, but there was a part of her, a small part, that hoped he had an excuse. "I swear to god Akio your like a child. A goddamn booze-obssesed child. You were supposed to meet me three hours ago! And I actually waited for you! Not the full three hours but I should have left ten freakin' minutes after I arrived!" She practically screeched at him, pacing up and down in front of him. She was getting so worked up, and she didn't know why. In a way she felt hurt, that he would rather spend time here getting drunk with people he barely knew than with her, someone he'd know ten years. She understood that she wasn't exactly the most pleasant to be around, but to her that didn't matter too much. Was she really that bad to be around? Her head became flooded and she began to become more annoyed with this thought than Akio's little number. :± ======================================================= ✓ - ✔ - √

Chakra Points ↝280/280↜ This place might have been dark and dank, wreaking of such disgusting things as cigarette smoke and vomit from the many drunkards and low lives who hung around places such as these, but to the young dark hair Uzumaki this was as much home as anywhere else he could find. Here he could relax and take in his thoughts at his own place and possibly even a girl or girls who were as drunk as he would so he really wouldn't have to try too hard to find some action for the night. This wasn't what he wanted deep down, but it would have to do for the time being. Akio wanted a little more then that in the long run. He wanted the family that he never knew growing up with someone who he could really relate to. He couldn't tell whether it was the thought of such a thing, or the large amounts of alcohol that he had just ingested that were giving him the feeling of the warm fuzzies, but the feeling was most certainly there.
Akio could hear somewhat of a commotion going on over in the other end of the bar, but bar room brawls were common in such places and the few that Akio himself had been involved in had very quickly taught the regulars here to not mess with him seeing as the few who did ended up getting a chair or a table broken over their heads, or worse if he just so happened to be in a bad mood. Which was likely...As his reflex action when he was unhappy was to go and sleep with someone to make himself feel better. It wasn't exactly healthy for him but it did work and he had such precious little time to party with lately. Between missions, preparing himself for taking on his own Genin team and training with Rukia. It then hit him like a ton of bricks. He had totally forgotten that he was supposed to meet Rukia for training! He had to at least be a few hours late by now and he was so dead that it wasn't even funny. He knew that it was only a matter of moments before she came bursting in here to castrate him for skipping out of her like that and so he was racking his brain trying to think of some sort of excuse that could possibly explain why he was in here instead of spending time with her.
He didn't even have time to process those thoughts properly as a familiar voice sounded from behind him. It was quiet, mumbled even, but he would recognize that angry tone anywhere. He pulled away from the woman who he had been so busy with for god knows how long and was just turning around to address the tall, beautiful dark haired woman who's temper would make a harpy look like a kitten. "Ru-" He didn't even have time to address her properly, she had already gripped him by the collar and yanked him from his seat, forcing one of his trade mark screams from him which could only be compared to a 7 year old school girl seeing a spider. He knew this would ruin his reputation for some time to come, but oddly he was far more concerned right now with Rukia, who was busy practically dragging him through the bar. Which was a huge thing in his book, pretty much nothing was more important to him then his reputation with women. But then again when you'd known someone for as long as he had known her you kind of just developed such a bond he supposed. He began to wonder where she was taking him, but more importantly what she was going to do to him once they got there. He tipped over several tables on the way there as he didn't have much in the way of control over his movements right now. He was just lucky that no one here was stupid enough to confront them when they were in such a situation.
His question was soon answered though once she threw him into a much more secluded corner which seemed absolutely riddled with dust and cobwebs. He disliked this place very much, but he disliked what she was likely to do to him. He flinched when she began screaming at him, part of him expected to get hit once at the very least but for the most part he knew that she oddly had much more patience with him then anyone else. A thought that interested him and made him want to delve into exactly why this was. But now was most certainly not the right time to do so. He raised his hands up in a defensive measure, he really was sorry and felt terrible for ditching her like that. And his eyes would reflect this, someone as perceptive as she was would also be able to pick up on it. "I'm sorry." He managed to croak out between verbal lashings. He placed a hand out to steady himself as he obviously no longer had a bar stool to prop himself up on. "I honestly just came here to have a drink or two to warm myself up for you, because obviously I've been away for a couple of months on missions. But well...One thing lead to another and you know how I get once I've had a few too many." He chuckled ever so slightly. This would usually be the point at which with anyone else he would have placed his hands on their shoulders to reassure them. But she was no ordinary person, and doing so when she was in such a mood was likely to lose him the use of his hands all together. "I know I should have stuck to our plans, it won't happen again alright? You know you're my best friend. I'd never ditch you intentionally." He dropped his hands back to his side and decided to try to at least come to a compromise, stepping slightly closer with one of his trademark cocky although sincere smirks on his face. "I'll tell you what. I'm sober again now anyway. Why don't we go and train now? Unless you had anything else you'd rather we could go do together?" To anyone listening that might have sounded a tad suggestive, but it was just his way with words. He had always enjoyed hanging out with her regardless of what they happened to be doing.

≮ J o n i n σғ K i r i g a k u r e ≯ ====================================================== ±: Rukia tried to get her thoughts under control, but to no avail. A lashing headache enveloped her head and she winced as she cast a glance behind her at the huge mess Akio had made. Most of the barstools and tables had been knocked over, and a few people were looking in their direction wondering what the hell had happened, eyeing them curiously. She didn't blame them, she needed to be more careful as to where she dragged Akio, trying to avoid a mass collision but at the same time still hurting him. She glanced back at Akio with a cold expression on her face, raising her eyebrow and sighing as he said I'm sorry. However something in his tone sounded sincere, and she realised he wouldn't do that to her on purpose. Whether she wanted to admit it or not he was a good person, and a good friend. She listened with curiosity as he came up with an excuse. She'll admit it was a decent attempt, but knowing Akio he would think of anything just to get out of trouble. Although she was aware what he was like when he had a few drinks in him, he had absolutely no self control, and tended to get drunk real easily. One of the main reasons she didn't drink.
Her heart softened slightly at his words. She pursed her lips to the side, he had a way with words, annoyingly so. If anyone could calm her down or talk her out of something, it was definitely him. All he'd have to do is gaze at her with his deep pools of blue and boom, she'd be under his spell. A perk of his she hated. He was slowly but surely cooling and calming her down, just another one of his mind games the way she seen it. She released a sigh and looked away from him, concentrating on a spot on the floor with no significance what so ever. She just didn't want to look at him. She didn't like the feeling it caused. Another one of those acrid chemical reactions in her stomach, that made her spine tingle and shiver. She felt her cheeks flush. He sees her as his best friend? Rukia had never had a proper friend before, except Akio. He had managed to slip past her defenses and he was the only one she trusted, at all. She had no doubts about him, even though he was probably one of the biggest idiots around. She didn't know why but she just did. She guessed that was one of the perks of being stuck with somebody for so long.
She tilted her head slightly and watched him as he approached slightly. She decided she didn't want to hurt him anymore, even though he was an inconsiderate jerks who's forgetful and gets carried away easily. She raised her eyebrow at his proposition. Training at this time? Plus she didn't believe him when he said he was sober. Her expression showed this. Also, this wasn't the first time she scared him out of his drunken state. She scoffed and rolled her eyes his eyes at his last little statement. He could be such an sleaze some times, but she had learned to adapt to all his little flaws, and she wondered if he has with hers as well. Taking a deep breath, she finally replied to him. Her face was no longer red with fury, but red now from the sweltering heat of the congested area and something else, but she didn't know what it was. "Whatever. Just don't let it happen again... Alright?" Her voice was slightly raspy and weak, breaking in between. She felt totally vulnerable now and like a complete idiot. She looked away again, not giving him the pleasure of knowing he had successfully won her over again. "Training? At this time? I think your still drunk." She chuckled darkly and stepped closer to him. "Don't even joke like that Akio dear. Or I really will castrate you. Okay? But your forgiven, don't expect to get off so easy next time." She said to him, with a sickly playful voice, that was sweet and innocent yet at the same time extremely threatening with a hit of bitterness. The last part she mumbled. She then threw him a fake over exaggerated smile, as if to prove it, but she wasn't good at smiling, as strange as it sounded. She then dropped it quickly and folded her arms, looking around her without interest, she just needed somewhere to look. She was still slightly pissed at him, but she decided not to let it get to her. She just had to realise that was the way Akio was, so she shouldn't expect much. Her stomach growled audibly, not loud enough to be heard over the bar noises but it was loud enough between those two. She sighed and looked towards her stomach. She was starving, she could have been off getting something to eat instead of waiting for Akio. :± ======================================================= ✓ - ✔ - √

Chakra Points ↝280/280↜ Akio usually would have enjoyed all of the attention he was getting right now. Ever since he had first battered down his mothers door, which he remembered wasn't very long at all after he had first met Rukia, he had developed a certain flare for garnering the attention of others. Usually people of the female variety. Although the woman stood with him now tended to be more annoyed then impressed, but she had stuck with it for the entire time he had known her so at the very least he must have been doing something right otherwise she very obviously would have brutally murdered him by now. Something that he took some small measure of pride in. It was true that he did get drunk rather easily, but that was more down to his habit of just downing the drinks one after another. If he drank like any normal person did then he'd be completely sober right now, and it was showing in the way that he swayed ever so slightly as he stood there. But still it was a half truth, he was getting to the point of sober he just needed to line his stomach with food first. Perhaps then he would be in a better position to not only understand her better but also grovel a little better and sweet talk her into calming down in the way that only he seemed able to.
He looked at her as she took in his words, he could see the gears whirring in her head and he began to wonder exactly what she was thinking as she was generally so reserved that not many people got close enough to find out. He realized that he was literally the only person to do so on any level and it made him happy to think so, to have achieved something positive that no one else had been able to, to the best of his knowledge anyhow. This train of thought was only made slightly intense when she looked away from him, the look on her face was one of quiet contemplation and perhaps even the slightest hint of embarrassment, although it was very likely that he was wrong on this. He wasn't exactly the best judge of character after all, that was her department. He was just the guy you sent in to act as a distraction and to power his way through the front lines so that everyone else could follow behind him and do their thing. It was then that he noticed the flush upon her cheeks and he had to suppress one of his smirks. If she was showing any signs of affection, friendly or otherwise then who was he to possibly put her off by acting cocky about it? He was happy for her.
He could already tell the she had calmed down to the point that she didn't wish to harm him anymore, which could only possibly been a good thing. Then again he couldn't remember a single time when she had actually tried to seriously hurt him. Which again came as a little bit of a surprise because that wasn't really like her, but he had never really given it any thought before. He could see the same red colour that her face had been sporting since she came in here, he chalked it up to the jacket she was wearing, even if it was lightweight this was a rather hot and sticky place to be hanging around in even at the best of times, a ploy by the owner to make people drink more most likely. "I'm not drunk...Not very anyway" A light pink dusting of a blush was now upon his face, although he tried to hide it as he was called out about still being drunk. He froze a little at her broad smile, she was right she didn't do smiling very well and it freaked him out a little when she did it like that. In fact that was probably the very reason that she did it, he had a feeling that she got some sort of sadistic pleasure out of seeing him squirm. "I didn't mean it in that way...I just like spending time with you, nothing wrong with that right?" He smiled softly as he heard her stomach growl, come to think of it he was hungry too and it was then that he came up with a great idea on how to repay her for having missed their training. "Hungry huh? Me too. I'll tell you what. Why don't we go and get something to eat? My treat as a way of saying sorry." This was once again something rather large for him as he absolutely hated paying for meals, he usually tried every trick he could think of to weasel his way out of paying. But he was in the wrong here and so he was determined to set things right. Something only just then occurred to him...He may have not intended for it to be taken that way, but he had technically just asked her out on a date. His heart froze in his chest and he decided that it was best to get moving before she possibly realized this too. He grabbed her hand out of habit, he was always doing this to people and began to lead her out of there. "Come on, it's getting late so we'd better hurry up before they close!"

≮ J o n i n σғ K i r i g a k u r e ≯ ====================================================== ±: The vile smell and atmosphere in here was just about to make her want to throw up, which she was pretty sure was the horribly strong smell that lingered in the air. It truly baffled her how Akio could be so accustomed to this atmosphere, this life style. Then again, they were so different yet they could relate to each other so well. Maybe he's used to it. She just hoped she'd never have to go looking for him in here ever again, or that would just be TNT ready to explode. Another thing that challenged her was his sincere love for alcohol. She had only been drunk once, and as far as she could remember she had done some things she regrets greatly. However, for Akio that isn't a problem because he doesn't seem to care who or what he does. She looked toward the sober- or so he claimed drunken male and studied him. She honestly expected this kind of lifestyle for him, judging back to when he was younger. The details were a little sketchy about the day they met, but she remembered some things. She remembered he blatantly broke down the door to the Amekage's office in order to beat her back there. What they were racing about she couldn't quite register, but she knew she definitely didn't take him up on his proposal. He was always a flirt with most people, and done some reckless and pretty idiotic things. He was slightly perverted, okay, alot perverted, but he always seemed gentle and acted like a gentlemen for the most part, which she respected. How he managed to hang around her so long she had no idea considering she was an inconsiderate, narky selfish brat. Okay, she was still like that now but not as bad thank god.
She raised her eyebrow at him as he denied being drunk again. A light blush was on his cheeks and she could tell he still was a little buzzed. Ah well, he didn't really do much harm when he's drunk, he just acts even more recklessly but she really didn't mind. Plus he was more accustomed to scream like a little girl, which he would try to avoid when he's sober. She'd never met a grown man who still screamed like that, but it interested her. She also thought it was kind of cute. She chuckled slightly when she noticed his uncomfortable expression when she smiled. Okay, she could smile, but she disliked doing so. Even though she didn't care what people thought of her, she still had a reputation to uphold and it didn't seem to be one she has to work hard at to maintain. People make up their own assumptions of her in their heads, she could tell by the way they would glare at her. A crazy, neurotic aggressive chick who loves to wail on people. Parts of that were true, but whether she wanted to believe it or not there was more depth to her. There was some level of her that cared about other people, well more or less just Akio. Despite her urges to kill him or brutally beat him most of the time she was concerned about what happened to him. She couldn't help it, it was set in stone. In a way she was like that protective sister or best friend that helps steer the irresponsible one out of trouble, or in this case walls, tables and chairs. Hm. "He didn't mean it in that way." Interesting. She knew he was just saying that, and that he was still a little on the fuzzy side. It didn't matter anyway, she knew not to take him seriously. Speaking of fuzzy, a warm feeling crept up her stomach. Oh god. She thought she was going to be sick, but it was more or less a reaction to what he had said. She still found it very hard to believe he wanted to spend time with her, even though they have spent an awful lot of time together the past ten years. She only really noticed it now. Her excuse for him saying that was he was drunk.
Okay, this is how she knew he really was still drunk. He offered to take her out for something to eat... And he would pay? Akio hated paying for meals, she knew that from past experience. But never the less, even at the last minute if he tried to conjure some sort of scheme to get out of it she wouldn't let him away with it. This would gladly compensate for him forgetting plans with her again, since she was so hungry it was the perfect suggestion. She could tell he wanted to though, he was a determined person and hated people not being happy with him so he'd do anything he can to try set it straight, or maybe that was just what she thought. Something must have bothered him or come to mind because he gripped her hand and began to steer her out of the place before she had a chance to accept his offer. He's touching me. Was her instinctive reaction in her head. Why is he touching me? Didn't he realise she was still annoyed at him? He sure was brave doing that. Never the less, she didn't react and let her self get pulled along without saying anything, yet another strange antic of hers he was able to achieve.
