Curiosity Killed the Cat Rank: Two Antagonist: Curiosity NPC Accompaniment: Yes Souls available: x2 Mission: SUCCESS/FAILURE In the land of the bizarre, sometimes looking twice will get you killed - literally. Death has been mysteriously visiting the Harajuku ward, usually following the appearance of several over-the-top shoppers whose appearance and dress style are extreme even by the standards of Harajuku pop culture. Only those with fashion sense need apply.
Tokyo, Japan. The land of electronics and perverted anime. Michael yawned as he stared at his watch. It was in the middle of the afternoon and he knew it was time for a nap. Why he was supposed to be standing around keeping watch he didn't know: after all, the blood line in this pair was enough for them to be sent out unaccompanied, wasn't it? He had a feeling he was being punished for something. Hmm. Maybe for leaking something to gossip girl... must be something like that. He stared at a shop window, wondering maybe it was about time he stocked up on his bribe gifts. If he was at Harajuku anyways... and god only knew that this pair didn't need his help.
YOU ARE AT YOUR MEETING POINT Michael doesn't seem to really care what you two get up to, and hasn't offered any advice except 'don't take too long'. Where is the main antagonist? How do you find them? And how do you react to the fashion crazy targets?

Glancing around at their surroundings, Lucien decided that Z must have had his eyes closed when he picked their next mission. Considering how unstable Z had been after their last mission here in his home country, the TECHNICIAN highly doubted that he'd have voluntarily picked a mission here again even as a joke. They were back in Japan - in Tokyo, no less - and to make it even worse, they were smack dab in the middle of Harajuku. Doing a mission that supposedly required fashion sense.
"I won't ask how we ended up here," Lucien began, sharp eyes noting the high platforms and lolita style outfits of many of the shoppers, "but do you have any idea how we should start?"
Shaken out of his near-trance by his partner's words, Z pulled a face, and shrugged. "Follow someone that looks out of place, and keep an eye on anyone who looks twice?"
"It sounds like you're quoting from the mission board."
Lucien's displeasure was obvious, and despite himself, Z found himself grinning. "No, really." A quick glance identified a pair of Harajuku shoppers that seemed to have dressed with a little too much care, and the WEAPON indicated them with a nod of his head. "Those two. They don't quite fit in."
Ignoring his partner's look of shock, Z began to make his way towards the pair, amusement lacing his voice as he continued, "Dude. Just because I don't care, doesn't mean I can't tell. Though it's amusing that I have more fashion sense than you do."
The duo's progress was slow due to the need to be discreet, and the crowds themselves were a hindrance all on its own.Frequently, the pair lost sight of their targets for long periods as the press of the crowds around them prevented them from following too closely, only to find them again minutes later through sheer luck. It was fortunate that neither much cared about others' opinions, for there were also many looks cast their way from unfriendly eyes that took in their appearance, and saw them as 'outcasts' in this insane shopping asylum.
It took an hour, but it appeared that Z had been right... again. As the pair's sharp gazes kept track of who looked at the two they were quietly shadowing, and who looked twice, they found a pattern. There was one figure that kept showing up over and over again, not only just looking at the pair they were trailing, but also sweeping the crowds to see who was looking.
"You saw him?"
"I think it's a her."
"Whatever."
As one, the pair unobtrusively changed direction, slipping easily through the crowds now that their target had been sighted. They were still careful to blend in with the rest of the shoppers, peering from time to time at a shop, or stopping at a stall to buy takoyaki (that was Z). But unlike the Harajuku shoppers, they had a direction - straight towards the ambiguous figure standing between two small shops nearby.

A lolita dressed in the finest pink and white ensemble seemed to tremble, and then fall to the ground. The figure nearest to them, the one that Z and Lucien and been so carefully following slipped back into the crowds. But another appeared, pausing for a moment before reaching out. Not in concern through, but for placement purposes. There was something almost dainty about the way the figure propped up the victem, so that it appeared that they were sitting instead. Sitting on the ground surrounded by shoppers, but still. At least she was blocking the street in an indecent sprawl.
'Better'.
The voice seemed to whisper, before attempting to slip back into the crowds.
The original target had moved straight ahead, deeper into the crowds of Harajuku. But the second had veered to the left, towards the front of a window shop.
The Target has Attacked!
Which one do you follow? How do you attack?

As they finally neared the figure they'd spotted, Z hissed, and Lucien looked back just in time to see the lolita tremble and fall to the ground. Too late. There seemed to be no need for discretion now as the figure slipped back and away, and the two pushed forward through the crowd, no longer heeding the irritated cries of the shoppers they passed (the takoyaki ended up on someone's skirt).
Lucien darted between two annoyed lolitas, bending down to check the pulse of the girl that had been propped up to sit in the middle of the street, and shook his head. Dead. Green eyes met purple ones, and his partner nodded, veering towards the left. It was a pity they couldn't get the original killer first, but if there was more than one person involved...
Z stepped up to the woman by the window shop first, blocking off her escape even as Lucien caught up, coming up to stand beside the WEAPON. Brief indecision flickered across the woman's face as she realized there was no way out, and then she lunged forward - straight into the criss-cross pattern of razorwire that Lucien held between his outstretched hands.
There was mild surprise in Lucien's tone as he looked down at the bloody mess, carefully leaning forward and keeping his hands away from his body to avoid getting blood on his clothes. You're getting quicker, Z.

There was a tremble through the crowd as the original antagonist seemed to notice that something was amiss. A quick wave of fury seemed to fly from the main street as she ran, shrieking, towards the Tech and Weapon pair.
No one was going to get away with this!

Lucien raised his head, coils of bloody razorwire still twining sinuously around his hands, and arched a skeptical brow at the figure racing towards them. "Bet you dinner that that's a man. Seriously... No girl i've ever met dresses like that."
Done.
"'K. Think he'll let us ask him before we kill him off?"
The exchange was quick, relaxed even as the TECHNICIAN stepped away from the shop window and turned fully to face the incoming figure. His WEAPON, guessing his intent, unraveled slightly and stretched out along the pavement, blades reflecting the shop lights as they waited, waited... SNAP!
Razorwire formed a painful, bloody vine around the figure's ankles, momentum causing him/her to fall forward face first mere inches away from Lucien's feet. One elegant hand reached out, tangling in the figure's hair, and lifted. "s**t. Why'd you have to be a girl?" The words were not said kindly as the TECHNICIAN leaned in closer, bringing up the hand holding Z in a quick sweeping movement to slit the woman's throat.
"Ugh." The ungraceful sound left Lucien's lips as Z flashed back to his human form, and he scowled at his amused partner. "Yeah, yeah. Dinner. But I'm picking the next mission."
