I know it was involved in WWII, at least somewhat. I think I could develop a solid character around it, with some input. how do you think they'd behave/would they be male/female? assuming they would be allies.

Your right India played a huge part in WW2 for the allies but it also had movements that supported the Axis Powers as well. Would that make the Hetalia character a backstabber because parts of him/her hated England as well? If India gets added I hope it is a she.:3 They have such pretty sari's heart

If India gets added I hope it is a she.:3 They have such pretty sari's heart Very interesting point, and I was thinking of a female as well, if not for a better reason than to just balance the cast out. I imagine they'd be less of a backstabber and more indecisive/true neutral. England would be in love with her or something and perhaps she'd think he was a tasteless goon? I don't think she would be a neutral since she was part of the British Empire, she was forced to fight like the rest of the Empire. She had 2 million soldiers in that war sad And had parts of her taken over by Japan. Maybe she could hate her Boss? The British Raj? And grumble about how much of a hypocrite England is declaring that the war is for democracy when she didn't even get a choose to fight or not.

They should add all the countries.
And if you're using the World War 2 excuse, then that's pretty much more than half the world right there.

^u^ Canon. It's a he, and a sparkly dances-with-Prussia sort of he. I'm waiting for the Asians to be divided into India-influenced and China-influenced. People always forget India's part of Asia, wonder why.
COME ON ALL YOU INKLANDERS
