Kind of a mean pun with neco
(Death) and neko (Cat) with a mix of japanese
and latin. Anyway, This island is bad news
unless you've got yourself a hardcore Hulah.
Your Hulah can achieve status of undead if it
doesn't get kidnapped first.

Miao pounced from insect to insect before taking a moment to stand in a cocky manner. "I am a'scared of nuthin`".
Behind Miao, a bush started to shake and stir...
With a small cry, Miao darted behind a nearby tree, her heart beating fast. She dared not make a sound for fear of what could be hunting her.
Out rolled a small blue bunny that was giggling madly. "Oh yes, Miao, you are so brave. Nothing scares you!".

Miao peeked cautiously from behind the tree before coming out and lowering herself to the ground so that Bluu could maneuver himself up onto her back. "Oh.. I knew it 'twas you, Bluu. I was just prac.. prac..prac..tic..cing.. my skills for when the real baddies come. That's all."
Bluu rolled his eyes and was thankful that Miao couldn't see him.

As Miao practices, Bluu learns "Float" ability, he can now fly using his wings.

A Rogue Lizard Has Appeared From the Bushes. It snarls at Miao with it's rather small teeth.

Miao walked towards the beach deciding a dinner of fish would hit the spot. As she walked, she couldn't help but think about earlier. She needed to be more brave. Tougher. Perhaps that will come as she continues to grow. She hasn't been around that long.. really and was still learning how to speak from Bluu. Some words were just so hard to remember and say. She owed a lot to Bluu who seemed take care of her from birth. She decided right then and there that she would be the bravliest, most toughliest of all Hulahs in all of NecoNeko! "I WILL BE THE BRAVLIEST OF THEM ALL"
Just then Miao skidded in her tracks, the momentum causing Bloo to fall forward onto the sand. Miao stopped to stare at the rogue lizard in partial fear and partial shock.

Puffing his chest out with confidence Jules apparently found somewhere within him, he strutted forward towards the female nearby, a cocky grin upon his face. His tail moved slowly back and forth as a little bunny held on for dear life, whining and pleading in an all-too-silent voice for him to stop.
"You aren't afraiiiid are you?" He teased her, grinning widely, not yet noticing that there was an apparent viciuos creature nearby.

Said Apparent Vicious Creature scampers up to the two kittens and their bunnies. It slithers and hisses some more.

Miao pounces to the side so that it appears that she and Bluu had the backend of the lizard and this new Hulah and his familiar had the front. Perhaps the disguise of being surrounded might aid to their benefit.. perhaps the lizard will just eat the blue kitty up first so that she could have time to get Bluu to safety and get a move on this lizard. Her heart and mind seemed to be racing at the same time. A part of her felt.. excited.. it just didn't make sense! "I think you should leave, lizard. I was just tellin' ol Bluu here how lizard meat might just hit the spot. I am pretty hungry for me some lizard."

Jules frowned when he realized that the girl wasn't quite such a scaredy-cat as he'd once thought. His tail stopped moving so quickly back and forward, and his releived little familiar dropped to the ground greatfully.
His attention, too, went to the attacking lizard, and he bared his teeth.
"You...leave us alone!" It was obvious his bark was a lot worse than his bite. He fumbled with something else to say, but found that the words didn't quite come. Instead, he attempted a not-so-ferocious growl.

Lizard is easily intimidated by "ol Bluu" and "not-so-ferocious" and scampers away.

Miao sighed softly, thankful for the distraction the male Hulah was providing. As he let out his growl, Miao made a swipe at the lizard's tail with her claws. A small voice in her head was telling her to run, but she knew.. if she kept running, she wouldn't live long on this island. "I can think of a hunnerd an one ways to eat me some lizard".

Miao prances around in a circle, obviously proud with herself while Bluu floats nearby, keeping an eye on the new guests. "We did it, we did it!"

As the lizard ran away, any fear Jules had built up from the enemy slowly disappeared, and he puffed his chest out with pride again. Strutting forward to the little prancing female, he paused and watched her, his little bunny nearby.
"We sure showed him, huh? Won't be bothering us anymore!"

Miao jumped and turned, hissing at the blue kitten, while crawling backward slowly. She felt silly that she had forgotten he was even there. "Hey you.. you didn't come to help me... you didn't even know he was there...If you have any funny ideas, you best just lose them.. you.. hear me?"
Bloo shook his head and made a shrugging move with his shoulders at the other bunny nearby in silent communication. Sighing softly, he floated to the ground and hopped over to the other of his kind and began discussing the latest event regarding the lizard from a guardian's perspective with him/her.

Jules couldn't help but laugh at her, grinning again. "Funny ideas? Boy, you're pretty weird. I dunno what you mean by that, but okay. I'm sure you could've handled that lizard alllll by yourself...but I didn't want to have to kiss any boo-boos." He made a disgusted face and stuck out his tongue. Obviously, that was pretty gross to him.
Foufou smiled cheerfully at the other familiar. "I hope he isn't being too mean. He is a little over-confident sometimes...it's pretty hard to keep him in check."
