Prologue:
B.R.I.T.E Industries HQ…

A tall old suited man entered his private office with relief. His sigh was the only sound that he had made before turning on the lights. He walked towards the large shaded window in front of him while sliding his fingers on a device that is placed on top of his wooden desk. The shades slowly faded away, revealing the wonderful view of Terminal City. He looked out at the sun rise while his hands folded behind his back. He was so proud of himself, proud that he was the one who turned the poorest city into the most advanced city in the US. He exhales, only to see his breath fog up a section of the window. Then suddenly a knocking came from his office door and he immediately turned around.

“Come right in,” he ordered.

The door knob twisted and the door slowly opened inward. A blond teenage girl entered the office with a smile that stretched from one blushed cheek to the other.

“Good morning daddy”

“Good morning princess, I see you’re ready for your first day of school. Did you take your morning shot?” he asked professionally.

“Of course, I never forget to do so.”

“Good… now remember, If you start to feel strange, I want you to call Caleb, he’s my science partner.”

“No need to worry dad, it’s going to be a great day.” She replied while turning around and walking out of the office.

Chapter 1: Getting Ready
3491 Lake Street. …

“THIS IS GOING TO BE A HORRIBLE DAY!!” shouted Richard as he shuffled his clothes, trying to look for something to wear on his first day of school.

“Oh honey, you should be happy, you’ve finally moved up to the two digits,” said his mom while she cooked some breakfast for both Richard and her husband Robert.

“Yeah Rich, you’re finally a sophomore… WOW! I remember those good old days,” said his father as he sipped his morning coffee.

Richard stopped searching and just slammed his head on the hangers, “This can’t be happening…” he let out a sigh, “I think I’m going to cry.”

His dad looked over the stairs that led up to Richard’s room, “I don’t remember raising a drama queen, now hurry up, you’re going to be late for school,” he shouted before digging his face into the steaming coffee.

Richard immediately slid down the stair rail and landed a few inches away from a butt whooping. His father looked down at his cup.

“You almost spilled my coffee young man.” He said, with a very cold hearted tone.

Richard then ran out towards the back door while holding on to his book bag with one hand. His mother turned around with the pan full of scrambled eggs.

“No breakfast?” she cried out.
“Sorry mom, big man has to go.”He shouted before heading out the door and leaping on top of his bike.

His mom slowly turned her head to face Richard’s father and shook it.

“Are you sure you didn’t adopt him?” Robert joked.

Chapter 2: Saved by the Bell

Richard peddled furiously, trying to get to school on time. The only option he had is turning a fifteen minute trip into a five minute rush or else he would receive his first detention of the school year. His phone suddenly begins to ring, it’s his best friend Oliver calling, he could tell from the ring tone he gave him. Richard grabbed his phone and pinned it between his ear and shoulder.

“What’s up Olive” he joked.

“Richie, you need to hurry up bro you have five minutes.”

“I know I know, I’m on my way.”

Richard immediately hung up and tucked the phone back into his pocket. His eyes immediately darted at what seems to be a shortcut. He squeezed his back brakes and drifted towards it before continuing his pedaling.

Meanwhile…

The young blond girl stepped out of the limo that parked in front of the parent pick-up side of the school. The butler closed the door and wished her a good day.
“Thank you Norton, you as well,” She replied kindly.

A few boys murmured among themselves as their eyes focused on the rich blond girl. She smiled as she hugged her books closed to her, revealing an innocent look on her. Suddenly the principle rushed out from the school, immediately welcoming Dr. William Blake’s daughter.

“Welcome to Wingsdale High Sasha, I hope you find your classes properly placed as you requested.”

Sasha’s eye brow rose up, giving the Principle a weird look. She understood that her father was the most respected man in Terminal City for his projects, but being treated like her father is something she’s not a fan of.

“Um… Mr. Duffy is it?” she asked.

“Yes ma’am”

“I don’t mind respect, but being treated like Queen Elizabeth I is something I wouldn’t appreciate from now on. Besides, I’m not a fan of beheading people.” She joked, as she stepped through the school entrance.

The principle nodded with a smile, trying to hide his embarrassment. He then started waving his arms around.

“Alright students, off to your homeroom.”He demanded.

Suddenly a loud shout broke out from the crowd of student.

“HURRY UP RICHARD!!” shouted Oliver as he walked out from the crowd, looking at his friend making his way to school on his bike.
Richard continued to pedal furiously trying to get to school before the Principle closes the doors. A few seconds later he was able to finally arrive at school property and manage to chain up his bike and immediately bump into the principle. The principle looked down at Richard like a vulture would look at its prey.

“You must be the one who egged my car last year”, he said while sticking his head out more, like a real vulture. His left eye was bigger than the other one, so it made the situation even weirder.

Richard swallowed his fears while his eyes shined up. He was about to open his mouth to share some excuses about that incident, when suddenly the bell rang.

“Well, I guess I got to get going, don’t want to end up working at a school.” He joked, before making a run for it.

The principle followed his steps with his eyes, “Saved by the bell Mr. Diaz.”
