Name: Gatchet Damascus Age: 21 Gender: Male Skills/Talents: Gatchet is superbly skilled at engineering and fixing airships. His lithe body allows him access to the inner working of parts. His skills include fashioning necessary parts out of junk, wielding and machinery. Alliance: Pirate Weapon(s): Gatchet typically tries his best to avoid confrontations and usually ends up failing horribly. He’s grown to be agile and decent with his fists. He carries a small stiletto blade and a narrow muzzled pistol on his belt. Personality: Gatchet wanders from place to place, seeing the world and worming his way into groups of gathered pirates in hiding. He’s prone to acts of random behavior due to being suppressed for so long and always, always seems to find or cause trouble wherever he goes. He’s very mischievous and loves a good practical joke. Gatchet’s gathered a vast knowledge on airships and building and fixing things and knows many of the shady in-out heretics. He has a serious side too and like everyone carries his own personal burdens. Background: Gatchet was born a small, weak and deathly pale child. The doctor tending his mother pried his eyes open and upon seeing the red tutted gravely and informed her that she’d birthed a sickly son. His father was disappointed-he’d wanted a strong young man to fill his shoes one day and expand the family name. Growing up as a child he was constantly kept inside and cushioned from the world due to his frequent illness. His father held a high position in The Baluster Government but was not amongst the higher ups. His family was aristocratic, his mother a well establish dainty of the social circle. Religion was strict in his family and social behavior even stricter. When Gatchet reached an age of awareness he began to resent his life as was. He began to insist upon adventuring about and wandering from the house. The world thrilled him. His mother was horrified. The fresh air and sun did him good and he began to grow stronger and less pale. In his teenage years Gatchet began tinkering with airship engines and found himself excellent at repairing them. Through a series of unfortunate events, he became wanted by the Church for his skills and is currently on the run from them and from the Government for being a notorious pirate. Appearance: Gatchet stands fairly tall and lanky (although still muscled) for his age and still seems to be growing. A mop of shocking white hair adorns his head and falls down his neck a bit in scraggly, fly away feathery locks. His eyes are a light red color and often give him trouble and his skin is moderately pale. His fingers are heavily scarred from business in the past, each digit being riddled with raised, pale marks. Despite his troubles he’s usually seen wearing a mischievous grin on his face and likes frivolity and good times. Gatchet chooses to cloth himself to accommodate his needs. He wears a set of heavy duty black boots that end just below his knees and sport several scuffs and scrapes. What used to be a pair of green baggy pants cloth his lower portions held up by a belt, although they’ve since been stained due to him worming his way into small places on his back. A short sleeved white shirt peeks out from underneath a navy blue vest with black fur rimming the neck and sleeves. He’s sewed, quite crudely might I add, various pockets onto the front of his vest and upper pants, where he often stores nails and such other bobbles. On his hands he wears a pair of well worn leather gloves to hide the scars which can still be seen where the finger cloth has been cut off for easier grip. A row of mismatching earrings line his left ear and a few in the right. Finally a pair of black blacksmithing goggles perch on his forehead for times when close contact with flame is needed. Extra Info: His various pockets are always laden with endless trinkets and worthless bits of nothing. Name: Silas Age: Appears to be 25 Gender: Male Alliance: Pirate Personality: Jovial and lighthearted, he appears to carry himself carefree and with no regrets. Silas is usually seen joking in most situations, allowing the woman who travels with him to be the stern, commanding one. During dire situations however, he becomes serious and shows extreme tact and battle smarts. He can be very conniving and intelligent when he wishes to be. Silas moves with an aura of deep understanding and mystery surrounding him and he grins as if God has leaned down from the heavens and told him the joke of life. Despite this, when it comes to the safety of his crew and especially Marie, he often places their lives above his and will risk his wellbeing for them. All in all he strikes a very superior and intimidating figure. Appearance: His brilliant cobalt blue eyes reveal all the emotions in the world and yet none of himself. It’s like looking at a brick wall with a colorful mural painted on it. His brunette colored hair is cropped short and held back from the sea breeze by a knotted headband. Draped over his shoulders in a ridiculously pompous looking Captain’s jacket which he refuses to remove much to Marie’s chagrin. Earrings line both his ears and a ring etched with the miniature details of a bird twine around his middle finger. A long, jagged scar mottles the skin of his chest where Marie and him were captured and tortured. Skills/Talents: Silas is remarkable at swordsmanship and has a cunning wit when it comes to battle. His plans are often ridiculous and impossible at first glance but almost always work out to their advantage. He can tell immediately if anyone is lying and has an innate sense of when something bad is about to happen. He also tends to keep many things a secret and never ceases to have an ace up his sleeve. Weapons: He carries by his side a long, curved cutlass and a shorter blade. Background: Despite falling into the habit of telling stories of his “grand adventures,” not much is known about Silas, including by his crew. He was apparently raised as a small boy in a cottage on a sea cliff. He’s traveled all over the world in a seemingly short amount of time and experienced many, many things. Extra Info: Silas is hardly ever seen without his bird Orior perched on his shoulder. It appears as if he and Marie were separated from their crew during an attack on their ship and captured. The two are now seeking to reunite with them. Their crew is apparently extremely loyal to Silas. Supposedly the rumors surrounding him claim he’s died several times already. Gender: Male
Skills/Talents: Flur is known mainly for his expert use of his three 'Blades of Oblivion,' each one named a different level of the path to Oblivion. The first is Despair, then Agony, and finally Death. Flur will tend to test his opponents with the various stages of the increasingly master-smithed weapons. Although Flur doesn't look it, he is one of the least corrupt people that has any sort of pull in the Government. There aggravation with him is apparent, and several attempts have been made on his life. Flur almost always does what is best for the people.
Affiliation: (Mainly) The Government
Weapons: The 'Three Blades of Oblivion'; Despair, Agony, and Death.
Personality: Flur is almost always informed to current evens, and almost has a well earned air of arrogance around him. Flur rarely shows emotion, though his often dangerous and self-less actions show he really is quite soft-hearted, though he is always quick to play such things off as coincidence. He is currently looking for the ultimate sword, Oblivion itself.
Background/Bio: No one actually knows much about Flur's past, except that he was raised by one of the worlds greatest swordsmen, and that the man wasn't Flur's real dad. Flur is currently known to be in a level of his own in swordplay and reaction time. His network of informants is also quite impressive, though he himself did little to form it, as it was his adoptive fathers network before his.
Appearance: 
Extra Info: Flur generally seems arrogant around most people, but is actually quite cautious in battle, always sizing up his opponent before either ever know they will be enemies. Flur is cunning most of the time, and stops to think things though, and though most associate him with the Government, his only real alignment is to the people.

Skills/Talents: Rawlings is known to be a particularly ruthless Pirate turned Government agent, and had been his whole pirating career. Rawlings retained control of his air-ship, 'Merciless' and uses it to pursue other pirate ships, using the top of the line engine system to run down most any ship. Besides his ship, he is known to be an under-handed sword fighter, and all around dangerous person. Only one person has ever evaded him before, and since then, Rawlings has found a rival in Flur.
Affiliation: The Government
Weapons: Rawlings has several throwing-knifes, hidden-blades in his boots, and a single katana from a distant land. He trained under Flur's 'father' and so is a fellow disciple of Flur.
Background/Bio: Rawlings was one of the most famous Pirate-gangs around, almost up on the same plain as the Firebirds. But after 5 years of gathering the most notorious pirates, Rawlings turned out to be a Government agent, slaughtering his entire crew without a second thought, and even attempting to kill Flur, who attempted to intervene. Flur was the only survivor of the ruthless attack, and sent Rawlings to the hospital. Rawlings is looking for payback now, trying to bring Flur down. He is easily identified by the black dragon tattoo on his left bicep.
Appearance: 
Extra Info: Rawlings is completely obsessed with trying to bring Flur down, and has continued to dog him. But Flur has always been untouchable, and the only real match Rawlings came across. He and Flur had been friendly rivals under the same master, but now Rawlings simply wants to strip Flur of everything, then kill him with his, and his 'fathers' names dragged through the mud.

Name: Marie Age: 24 Gender: Female Alliance: Pirates Personality: Very cold and distanced from other people her presence none the less commands attention. A stern yet caring woman, Marie is constantly seen keeping Silas in line and on track. Her goals are clear in her mind and she refuses to be swayed from her path. Her determination fuels the spirit of Silas and she is completely loyal to him. Their relationship usually ends up being questioned by others as she has a soft spot for him and tends to show him brief moments of worry or kindness. Appearance: Sporting a tomboy appearance, her blonde hair is kept cut short and swept back out of the way with a bandana. Her bright teal eyes are sharp and clear and rarely miss anything. She wears a short tank top and cargo pants with various pouches to store things in. On her arms she wears two lightweight braces and various necklaces around her neck, one of which Silas has given her as a gift. On her back and visible due to her clothing, she bears the tattoo of a bird alighting onto a burning cross with a compass for an eye. Skills/Talents: Due to her sharp eyes she is also the navigator of their crew and is able to quickly climb to great heights with ease. While she is decently skilled at a cutlass, her real offensive lies in hand-to-hand combat, particularly with her legs. Weapons: She carries with her a short blade strapped to the back of her waist that bears an intricate pattern on the hilt. Her real weapon lies in her fists, legs and tact. Background: Similar to Silas not much is known about her life but this can mostly be accredited to her distance with people over all. Her father was a lower class merchant with only a few ships but none the less her mother attempted to live a sophisticated life. Despite Marie wishing to sail and work with her father, her mother strove to mold her into the perfect, dainty young lady. One day her father finally relented and allowed Marie to come on a trip with him. She apparently met Silas when he robbed her father’s merchant ship and she was onboard. Extra Info: It appears as if her and Silas were separated from their crew during an attack on their ship and captured. The two are now seeking to reunite with them. She also has hobby of building things like her brother does. She is also into engineering, but kept that secret from her father who doesn't really approve of her filthy skill since it's only meant "men" but she doesn't believe. She is also skilled in hand-to-hand combat.Affiliation: GovernmentWeapons: Dagger and Buster SwordPersonality: In her status affiliated with the government, she shows most authority but not totally corrupted, but believes that laws needs to be follow and bring those pirates to justice. When her brother was still around, she would always smile and show her true self to him instead being so up tight due to her being with the government of course. Shes also very observant around the area that shes in. Very calm, collective, and always has an apathetic expression.Background/Bio: She was raised in a high society who works with the government. She has an older brother name, Zaq, who is actually her twin, but they still look totally different, despite their interest in inventing. She had happy childhood with her brother and loves him dearly. Her mother died due to an illness and were both stuck with their father who is a lieutenant. He made them due a lot of reading, studying about ships, the governments history, and even about the ruthless pirates in all of history, The Fireball. Serenity of course was super excited about reading it and read so much books on it. Her father realized it and feared that she would become a pirate to find that treacherous ship. He soon forced her to be in the government even though her brother does his best to keep her away from there, since their father is corrupted as it is. So Zaq plan their escape to go to an airship that he had built out of scratch. As they ran towards the airship their father and his soldiers came after them. But because she really cares for her brother, she pushed him toward his ships that were beyond the families and gates closed it this made her brother totally devastated. She told him to run away and he did. "Don't worry serenity! i will come back for you someday!!" He cried out to her and then he flew away. Unfortunately for the father Zaq doesn't want to be a soldier for the government to be corrupted. While his sister and himself study, he would read about engineering, inventions, airships, he was very much into the mechanical field and then stumbled upon some medical books that were being collected by dust, so he read those and did his best to master it, but only did standard medicals to bandage wounds, removing unnecessary objects from someones skin. He and sister would read about The Fireball because he was amazed by it's structure and how he wanted to make a ship thats better than The Fireball. So secretly, he starts building a small airship that only he and his sister could fit in. Many times he builds but always ends in failure and kept researching on what he did wrong and tries to make it better until he was successful. When he heard his dad finding out Serenity reading about The Fireball and tries to quarantine her in the government, so he planned his escape. He packed everything that they would need on their journey to the new world awaiting them. This escape attempt happened when he was 19 and was actually suppose to be promoted to lieutenant; the cheater way to skip the soldier and sargent ranks. As they try to escape the father and his solider already comes after them. And of course the part Serenity force her brother to go, leaving without her. He made his promise to come for her someday and he meant it. When he escaped successfully he was devastated and sad for just leaving his sister behind when he tries to rescue her, but she saved him instead. He was so a shame to be call her older brother and would try his to save his sister from the government and his father. Skills/Talents: Tsubasa is an excellent engineer and is able to fix pretty my anything. But not only that, he can also handle a gun fairly well.

Weapon: Gun
Personality: Tsubasa doesn't let anything or anyone bring him down. He tries to remain happy and carefree at all times, and its rare see him sad and gloomy.
Background/Bio: Tsubasa grew up as an orphan for most of his life and learned to fend for himself. One day though, an old man took him in and taught him how to be an engineer. Tsubasa fell in love the instant he began to craft. He loved working with the old man and even began to call him gramps. But it wasn't long before the old man died from old age, forcing Tsubasa to live in the streets once more. Of course he was sad for a while, but soon decided not to let this incident stop him from achieving his dreams. He decided to become a pirate in order to do so and is jumping from air ship to air ship, as their engineer. His ultimate goal though, is to be an engineer for the Firebirds.
Extra Info: The small sheep on his head, is named Fluff and is his closest friend. Fluff is with him at all times and usually like to sit on top of Tsubasa's head.

Skills/Talents: Aria is good at handling any type of dagger. Whether its a long-range or close range type, she can use it.
Afiliation: Pirate [Captain of the Skywards]
Weapon: Dagger
Personality: Aria can be overconfident and bossy at times, but deep down she actually kindhearted. She also cares deeply for her younger brother, even if she is a bit rude to him at times.
Background/Bio: Aria was the firstborn and so after her father's sudden death, she was made of the the Captain of his crew and airship. She felt like she had the carry on from where her father had left off and so she tried to act as if he were him. This didn't work for long though, for some of the crew members left when she made mistakes. She just couldn't handle the burden any long and was about to quit all together, when Jack came to her rescue. After a long and comforting talk with him, she decided to change. She decided act more like herself, making everyone feeling much happier and confident of her leadership.
Extra Info: The dagger on her skirt belonged to their father, and she cherishes if very much. But that doesn't stop her from using it when she absolutely has to.

Personality: Jack is the loud and talkative type of person. He has a very good sense of humour and can make anyone laugh, no matter how they are feeling. He is also very loved by all members of the crew as well as carefree.
Background/Bio: When Aria first became the captain, Jack felt envious of her. He was jealous of how she was the captain, and he was just the wingman. But he soon realized being the captain wasn't all that it was cut out to be. He saw how much Aria was struggling and decided to help and cheer her up. After talking to her, she became much better captain and he felt much better about himself, and is content about his position of being second in command.
Extra Info: The bandana he wears also belonged to their father and he wears it every single day.

Skills/Talents: Airi is an excellent swordsman and is very quick on her feet. At the speed she can run, its almost inhuman.

Personality: Airi doesn't speak much unless spoken to and during battle she's quite ruthless. If she is sent on a mission, she is sure to get it done no matter what the cost.
Background/Bio: Airi has no recollection of the past before working for the government. Working for the government is the only life she's ever known. She doesn't know what it feels like to have a family and be loved. The closest thing to family she has is the Fhuror.

He is notorious for cutting enemies (and irritants) down with no remorse.Affiliation: Government Weapons: By his side he carries a highly decorated long bladed Officer’s sword with a gilded hilt. The modified blade is thin and kept extremely sharp and has a small caliber gun built into it which can fire small rounds at close range for a surprise attack.Personality: Polite and refined like the member of high society that he is, Ferro is a twisted mix of regal chivalry and cold indifference. He is not afraid to manipulate people and their beliefs and often mocks the religion of others by pointing out the hypocrisy, hinting that he himself does not believe in a God. Ferro performs the tasks assigned to him with perfection and nothing more.Background/Bio: Alfeo was born into a high society militant family and thrived in the polite cut throat environment. Honing his skills of manipulation and cunning lies on the ruthless nobles he soon entered the Military Academy and quickly cut his way through the ranks before taking his rightful position as a high ranking Officer. He is often called on for advising higher ranking Government members and is perfectly aware of the true goals of the Church of Dante and the Government. Personality: Elliot is truly a kind and caring soul and finds the good in everyone that he encounters. His presence is warm and friendly and people feel the urge to share their life stories upon meeting him. Patient and reticent, Elliot wishes to follow the teachings of the bible and live a wholesome, pure life. Despite this he often worries about other people and his church, and is very uneasy about the sudden shady business the Church has been partaking in. Lately he has become agitated and seems to be hiding things…
Background: Elliot grew up in the church orphanage raised by a family of priests and nuns in a friendly, loving environment. He was raised on the teachings of the bible and helped to take care of the church grounds and the adjacent cemetery. One day when he was older the High Priest and his father figure suddenly became mysteriously ill and called Elliot to his side. There he passed on the church and its responsibilities to Elliot, despite his rather young age and afterwards died, leaving behind an unsettling secret.
Appearance: Tall and rather lean, Elliot has short light brown hair and warm, honey eyes. He wears a pair of glasses from spending his time with his nose constantly in a book and a rosary is always found around his neck that was passed down to him by the High Priest. Elliot is almost always seen dressed in the appropriate religious garb of a simple black shirt and pants with the customary white collar around his neck. He is usually seen with a kind smile on his face.
Extra Info: As of lately there has been unrest in the Church that began after Elliot was called to a Government office. Ever since then he has been uneasy and worried about the connection between the Church and the Government. He seems to be carrying several heavy secrets, but could it be for a good reason…?

He has a surprising knack for persuading others to work for him and/or tell him what they know, weather it be using torture, money, or more information. Affiliation: All (Church/Government/Pirate) Weapons: Accompanied by personal "muscle" wherever he goes, they wield both daggers and pistols. He hates doing the dirty work. Personality: No problem performing unethical deeds but surprisingly prefers non-violent methods. Arrogant by right, The Librarian will tell you what you need and is always correct, though sometimes only partially. Background/Bio: The Librarian has investments in any means of money you can think of and the proud owner of the largest collection of books known to man. He is also the president of one of the largest printing presses around. Appearance: Tall and thin with black hair, black eyes, and pale white skin. Never seen by anyone without a suit and his two bodyguards, and never by more than one or two people at a time, at a place he chooses. Extra Info: Actually not that hard to get a hold of but very hard to see. He is known by all three main factions and a few sand alone ones but little more than what he wants them to know. The Librarian is THE information broker and actually isn't that bad with a wrench if he has the free time to tinker.
