What? Someone writing a paper on roleplaying, well yes it is true. I am for lack of a better word. I'm writing a paper for my Gender and Culture class about the internet and how it allows people to explore different gender roles, genders and identities. And for the paper I need about... 10 interviews.
So that's where you guys come in, I need interviewees. It will be simple, just some open ended questions about yourself and things related to your roleplays.
For example basic information:
First name only(real or a fake one you want to keep it secret.)
Age: You have to be over 18 because I'm American and that is the age of consent for any type of study.(loosely what my professor calls it.)
Sex: (your actual biological birth identity)
Gender: Your identification of what you think you are, man, woman, or neither in some cases.
Orientation: (Optional, but I'd really hope to know because it affects my conclusions and understanding.)
Things we'll probably touch on:
Why roleplaying? Why do you pick certain things about the roleplays(age, gender, dominate or submissive, etc.)
What this paper will not entail:
Fetishes of a sexual nature, while we may briefly touch upon them based on why you RP a certain style it will not be explored.
What you need to know for yourselves:
In the interviews you have the control, if you want to exclude information you can. If you want things censored, totally fine. However, my professor will want a transcript of the conversation so anything you want erased will be erased. You'll be referred to by the first name or fake name, and Gaia will be omitted from any and all parts of the paper. There will be one interview, GIM, MSN, AIM or even Skype as means to talk to you. The paper is due in about 2 and a half weeks, so your information will be held until about May 15th when I graduate, after that you will never hear from me again unless you somehow want to be my friend haha. The process of the interview should take no less than fifteen minutes but could be significantly longer depending on how much you want to talk about.

... Huh. This is interesting. Well, I just turned 18 back in January, so if I qualify, I'll help you out. This sounds really interesting.
