I am so in the mood for some new pagan based artwork, decorations and jewelry. It's been awhile since I bought anything.

I've actually started "altering" a lot of my items, specifically store bought ones, as well as making my own. I have a dagger that had a red strong and bead bit dangling from the hilt. I replaced it with brown hemp yarn and wooden beads.
The coven is getting together on the 30th, for Beltane. We're doing a maypole and I'm bringing strawberry cheesecake. I hope the weather will be nice, as we plan on doing this outside, as usual. Can't wait to see everyone, haven't seen them since Samhain since I couldn't make the last gathering due to bad weather. sad

Strawberry cheesecake sounds delicious! I'm going to be out hiking on Tuesday so I am hoping that I can find some branches to make into a staff at the very least. I like the idea of altering things, but I wouldn't even know where to start with my stuff. I haven't seen much of my group members either and I only have one on facebook. So that's the closest I get to seeing people.

I keep in contact with a few of them via facebook and our coven website. There's too many of them to be able to keep up with everyone. >.>
I'm actually thinking of making a staff as well. Willows are very common around here and I'm wondering if I could get some live branches and weave them. It would be the perfect wood for me to use. I am "aligned" with it in many ways. However...I'm not sure where I could/should go to get some branches. I suppose I could wait for people to start trimming their trees, but I think I'll need some pretty green pieces to be able to weave it.

I love willows. I wish I had a big back yard with a pond so I could plant a willow tree. That is the perfect outdoor scene to me. You are right, fresh would probably be best but I always hate trimming trees. I have to trim mine every year and then I use some of the branches to make things. My headboard is a lattice with small branches woven through it and I'm going to paint it black. But I don't have any decent ones around here to make into a staff. I priced staffs once at other places and they always want way too much for them.

It's a large, nicely carved piece of oak with a sun carved and painted at the top and a moon on the opposite side. I want to make one that will be more "attuned" to me, something that will hold/have more power.

That sounds really nice. I want to find a moon charm to hang on my staff, once I find one. For some reason I am in the mood for a new ring and some new curtains for my bedroom with nature designs in them. Strange I know!

I'm not sure if I'm going to add any charms to my staff or not. I think I may just tie lengths or ribbon to it, depending on what I'm using it for I would change the colors.
What I REALLY need to do is start getting things together for cleansing and blessing the apartment for when we move in. I was thinking it would be fun to have a "cleansing party", and have the coven over (whoever could make it anyway) to make it a thing, but that's a long drive for a lot of people lol. I'll probably just get what I need together and do it myself. smile
I can't wait to move out, being able to pick out furniture and decor is so much fun.

Cleansing is good, I really need to do a re-cleansing. I love to decorate and design, I have been working on a new design in my living room. It's a Gothic Victorian style with gray walls and a dark blue trim accented with gold items and burgundy colored furniture. Sounds a bit strange, but I like it. Although when I'm ready to sell my house I'm going to end up having to repaint several rooms.

Yeah, I love it so much I'm going to go to school for interior design lol. I'm going to be doing our living room in a modern chic style. It's going to be mainly black and white, with a splash of color here and there, but more chic styled furniture. I'll post pics up once we get settled in smile

I am not a huge fan of the modern style but I would still really like to see pics. I think interior design would be a really interesting field and I bet you could make some good money in it. I watch a lot of HGTV, that is always my go to station when my other shows are not on. I have a different style. My kitchen is designed in a French sort of style except lacking a lot of copper pots hanging up because the ones I want are really expensive. If I had the money my bedroom would have a very French Louis XIV kind of look. Then the living room has the gothic Victorian look but with vintage movie posters and Hollywood pictures. If I had an extra room the posters would be in there instead of the living room.

Everyone has their own styles. smile I helped my parents with their house and theirs is done up in a southern ranch style. What I plan/hope to do is once my fiancée is done with school, go myself. I'll be taking plenty of pictures of our apartment and hopefully I'll be able to get some pictures of my parents house, with the stuff I helped in designing and anything else I've done when the time comes. That way, I can compile a portfolio for when I start applying for a job. smile

Not too well honestly. My in laws have gone off the deep end, accusing me of trying to convince my fiancee to kill himself. He;s prone to posting music he likes to his facebook, and apparently one of those songs now has them thinking he's suicidal, and that it's all my fault and that I want him to. Yeah, they're psychotic. It got to the point yesterday that I completely broke down. Even moved out I'm having to deal with these two ******** who have done nothing but try and tear me and my fiancee apart since we first started dating. Oh, and now they hate my religion too. They never had an issue with it before, but apparently they do now. They told my fiancee that he shouldn't be with me because "You don't want her raising your kids like that. What if she has them all sit around a pentagram, doing witchcraft?" Not to mention that they straight up tried hooking him up with another woman before we moved out of their place. His father was telling this woman all about him, saying he was single, offering his number. He came home and just went on about how much the girl made at her job and how "hot" she was.
My step father left my mom and they're getting a divorce. Why? Because she can't have children anymore. (she got her ovaries removed) He knew this, ten years ago when they first got together.
On top of it all my grandmother is having to get a pace maker put in and the doctors are already saying she's going to need a bypass.
