The Game of 20 Questions
1. What clan does my Character belong to?Answer: The Crab Clan the mightiest clan of them all.
2. What would you describe your characters appearance as?Answer: Hideo stands 6ft 3in tall looming over most people and has the complimentary Hida strength to go with his height. His face is rugged and flecked with many battle scars and his facial hair is always clean shaven or sporting a five o'clock shadow. His hair is always long and growing ever longer but he always wears it in a neat ponytail to keep it out of the way but is still proud of how long his hair has grown wearing a metal ring at the end of it.
In public he is always wearing a big warm grin on his face and if not in actual battle he always seems to be wearing his leg armour for no apparent reason. Though he may be found walking around topless on sunny days and always seems to have his pipe in hand whether or not he is smoking it although it is certain he probably intends to smoke it some time soon.
3. Is your character a bushi, shugenja, monk or courtier?Answer: Hideo is a bushi with not many other worldly pursuits due to being busy fighting the shadowlands.
4. What family does your character belong to?Answer: The great Hida family the strongest family in Rokugan.
5. What is you characters motivation?Answer: To live life to the fullest and become the ideal hida possible. Will mostly dedicate himself to a worthy cause though.
6. Who is the person your character trusts the most?Answer: His father mostly because his father is supportive and was just a great father to Hideo. They did everything together and he taught him everything Hideo knows, apart from what his sensei taught him, so why shouldn't he trust him the most?
7. What is your characters greatest strength? Greatest weakness?Answer: Greatest strength? He is a strong lovable kind of person friendly towards everyone and dependable though some may see this as careless he'd work hard to protect his friends at all costs.
Greatest weakness? Will never back down from anything and will always choose a side which has landed him into a lot of trouble before. Though he doesn't care much, he can take the punishment.
8. What does you character think of bushido?Answer: He follows it like any samurai would but sees it more as a set of guide lines than life rules and that some points are less important than others.
9. What is your characters opinion of his own clan?Answer: Truthfully? He doesn't have much of an opinion, the Crab is there to stop the shadowlands from invading Rokugan. The crab clan doing anything else is pointless do as this would bring much terror and other such horrible things to the land.
10. Is your character married?Answer: Yes. An arranged marriage to continue to strengthen Hida's connections to the Yasuki. Her name is Yasuki Aiko and she views Hideo as a knuckle dragging idiot who only knows to swing a weapon, which is true in a sense but she never gave him much chance to win her over with his lovable personality because anything he does she views with disdain followed by "Why him?". So they let each other get on with their own business almost as if they weren't married at all unless a social situation appears where they both have to awkwardly smile at relatives and pretend they're happy together.
11. Does your character have any prejudices?Answer: He does hate upper class snobbery and takes personal offense to it most of the time the "Holier than thou" just boils his blood and will probably have him sticking up for the under dog.
12. Who is you character most loyal to?Answer: His father. As mentioned before his father was his mentor and cared for him dearly so it is no surprise that Hideo would give his life for him.
13. What is your character's favourite and least favourite things?Answer: Favourite? Physical activites, smoking, drinking and generally having a good time with his friends seeing as he has no other kind of worldly pursuit.
Least favourite? Formal social events where he has to behave and dress all prim and proper. This seems to be the gathering grounds of snobbery and Hideo has punched one too many courtiers during these events.
14. Does you character have any recurring mannerisms?Answer: Playing with his ponytail when his hands behind his back and sometimes accidentally smoking his kiseru yakuza style.
15. What about your character’s emotions? Answer: Always seems to be happy it is hard to bring him down even when fighting he never seems to be angry just that he puts on a blank face when fighting. Unless of course it is one of his pet peeves which has annoyed him then it becomes obvious why he is angry.
16. How would your character handle a subordinate’s improper behavior? Answer: Probably with a punch to the back of the head if it was a small violation he wouldn't know what to do if it became a serious matter and would probably consult his father.
17. How would your character’s parents describe them?Answer: Strong, soft-hearted, bit quick to get on his feet to fight a cause but the will of a crab who will not give an inch.
18. What is your character’s highest ambition? Answer: To protect his loved ones from the shadowlands the best he can.
19. How religious is your character? Answer: Not very he exhibits standard procedure but does not pray regularly though he will make a mental wish to osano-wo to grant him strength in battle.
20. If you could, what advice would you give your character?Answer: Never change, never give up an inch is all they need.
