I decided we need our own bar/cafe/tavern. I really don't know which one this is. On one hand, bars are more fun (at least, I have other people's word for it... I wouldn't know!). On the other hand, I'm not even allowed to be in a bar, let alone run one. So let's just call it... OUR HANGOUT THREAD! rofl This works just about the same as the Mended Drum over in the Shades. Or like any other hangout thread anywhere. Except we have a waiter/waitress/bartender. Again, I'm not too sure about that yet. I'll serve nonalcoholic beverages to people but if you want drinks drinks I'll get Poliver or someone to do it. This isn't a discussion thread about Mercedes Lackey or Valdemar, though those topics are (as always) encouraged by me. This is a thread to talk about... stuff. What that stuff is, I'll leave to you. Over in the Shades we recently had an appearence by a... what was it? A Pretty Doctor something-or-other with a raptor. Or an alligator. Anyway, I'll stop confusing you now. The Shades is... wierd, to say the least. So. Post. Whine. Sing. Do stuff. Ah, I finally learned how to make it right this year and I'm a little bit happy about it and am constantly experimenting with new flavours. 'twas smthing I'd been trying to do for y-e-a-r-s. I was veryvery frustrated and now I am a little crazed with my sudden success and I have been bugging my bemused friends to try lots of different flavours. Not that they mind being gifted random and really good cheesecake (not just me that says that wink ) they just find my sudden obsession amusing.
So of course I gift my online friends with virtual versions as well.
Possibly I am overreacting to cover the fact that I cheated... kinda... but it turned out better than what I was aiming for in the first place. I still can't make a 9" cheesecake, they just don't turn out the right texture. grr. I still don't know why. BUT I now bake them in cupcake size! They turn out perfect! and I can make as many different flavours in a batch as I like! And they are much easier to share biggrin

Thanks for making this hangout thread smile It may not be hopping, but after trying to read the whatever-the-heck-it-is-that's-going-on-over-in-the-shades through my cold last week I needed a quieter place in which I could still talk to someone... sweatdrop

Yeah, it looks like things are getting sorted out.
This thread will, hopefully, get larger. So will this guild. At least, I hope. Of course, the nice thing about a small crowd like this is that there's less drama-- which reminds me; I have to go demote Perks!
