Welcome to the Blue Ribbon Committee of the Daffodil Movement (where YOU can See the Reality about the Colon Cancer).

RULES

Below are the Global Rules that preside over all TDM activity.

►Follow Gaia's ToS
►Do not quote any large blocks of text, such as any of the posts on the front page of the main thread or a team's thread.
►Please read the FAQs before asking a question. That way we can be sure that we have plenty of time to answer any unusual or specific questions, instead of answering the same common ones over and over.
►Contacting Blaize/crew: We are likely to be very busy around this time. Not only do we have to organize many things here at once, virtually all of TDM's staff is in college or high school. For us, April not only means TDM, it means term papers and exams. Questions and Yellow Wall entries will have priority over any art or banners you send, or affiliate/Turn TDM requests. Please be patient with us.
►Be supportive of one another! Try to get along.
►And most importantly, strive for positivity. I encourage you to share your stories and feelings concerning cancer, cancer awareness, and the like, but this will not be a pity-party. Many people may be going through cancer themselves or seeing someone they love dealing with it. We’re here to hope for the best. heart

FREE ART~

I will be drawing free art for anyone on Team Colon who wishes to show some personalized team spirit. It will be a headshot with a Daffodil and a Blue Ribbon. Medium will change based on where I am when they're requested. I hope to get them done in a timely manner.

Not everyone has a wardrobe for every occasion. This is where you can get a few free items to change into a blue outfit for the month if you wish. They will be inexpensive as I wish to spend some gold on nicer prizes for actual contests. Just fill out the form below to receive some blue items to wear. Easter Egg Contest~

Since this is April, that means one of my favorite holidays! Easter is just around the corner. With this, it's time to colour some eggs... luckily, eggs are a nice blank canvas for helping our cause. This contest will run until Easter Day (Sun, April 24th).

All you have to do is decorate THIS egg. I would like everyone to have the same egg base as a bit of an equalizer. You may decorate the egg in ANY way you wish as long as it relates to our team. If you have any questions about decorating the egg, just ask and I'd be more than happy to answer any questions.

You may only enter one egg to be judged. You can change your mind on which egg to use. You just have to tell me.

Pantsless Tektek Contest~

I was thinking, Colon Cancer affects people's colons. Which are located in people's... butts. I giggled and thought of drawing art of people showing off their butts and thought better of it. But after the conversation on page 2 with MemoriesofGreen, I think that we can at least show a bit of spirit through our butts.

This is a Tektek contest where your entries must wear NO PANTS. Now, normally this would allow skirts, but I think that breaks the spirit of the contest itself. So you must enter a Tektek with no pants and no skirts. Please fill out the form below in the thread to enter.

The Pen is Mightier~

The Final Contest runs this week until the end of the month. This contest is all about writing and expressing yourself with what this team means and what this team is about. You can enter any type of writing as long you wrote it yourself. You may enter stories, poems, speeches, or anything else you can think of to express yourself. It can be about coping with Colon Cancer, or Providing hope to those dealing with the issue themselves. It can even be something about your passion of fighting the disease. This contest is only open to members of Team Colon Cancer, and must be submitted in the thread. You may use any type of formatting you wish. If you have ANY questions, just ask me either here in the thread or you may contact me via PM and I will respond to you as quickly as I can. =)

Surprise Contest

I tried my best to try and make this a fun place to hang out and win prizes... a few fun little contests and try to get our team active and to spread the word of awareness out to not only Gaia but in our real life. I know that we aren't a very big team... Our late start didn't help us either. But I believe that we did a pretty good job.

The surprise contest was that I wanted everyone to get a prize. But I didn't really want to give everyone who signed up a prize if they didn't deserve it... So I watched our thread closely for the past week. I was determined to give prizes to all of our most active members, even if it was just this last week. I even took into consideration anyone who was active in the beginning too. With the remaining gold I have for this team... I bought prizes for our most active members as a thank you from me to you. Here are your winners for "Most Spirited" Team Blue. =)

Our first winner of this helped me cement my yearning for the Captaincy. She helped me think of ideas before it was even official and chatted with me in the old Team Blue thread. She volunteered to do avatar art for our cause and made 2 beautiful pieces before her health got in the way. For helping me get everything started, I would like to thank... MemoriesofGreen.

Our second winner, has helped keep me in here, and helped to keep my motivation up. She participated in every contest except the writing and I'm sure she wished to enter that one too. Real Life gets in the way sometimes. For helping to keep me motivated, I would like to thank... Ayame-Yuura.

Our last winner of the spirit contest, changed her name half-way through the month. She entered both of our contests as well. Not as chatty as Ayame, she did offer to make art for us but due to scanner issues, none have been shown yet. I believe that we will still receive our art, even if it's after The Daffodil Movement Closes. She also has been spreading awareness throughout her Real Life, which is an important thing to do. For being an active member, I would like to thank... i-Shirazi-i.

These three ladies have helped keep this team alive and I would like to thank them all with a Kinks Reprise . I chose this prize because it was in the price range afforded to me by the gold I had remaining and it's the item I've been wearing the most this month to show my Blue-Pride. This is what's been giving my skin that radiant Blue look to it, and I figured that these ladies could now do the same if they so choose.

It's at this moment, I'd like to thank anyone who's even stopped by to just wish us good luck or throw their hat into our ring. Every time there was a new post, my heart would soar at the thought of someone even bothering to take the time to see what I've done with all of your help. This has been fun and I hope to see you all next year. Now, I should be off to take my quest thread off of hiatus and work towards those items I've been wanting.
