Bastet and Sekhmet are duel aspects that seem to have evolved from the same source. Sekhmet is a solar goddess, while Bastet is lunar. Both were born of Ra when he was angered by humans and sent his right eye to destroy them.

To honnor Bastet, light a green candle and possibly put a little catnip or milk on your altar. Her sacred animal is the cat.

To honnor Sekhmet light a red candle, and possibly put some red wine or red juice on your altar.
