I know that his has already been discussed in at least one other area of the guild, but it is so important that it deserves its own thread.

Characters

You character is NOT GOD! This means that he/she cannot dodge every hit or land every hit. Doing this is godmodding, a serious infraction of the rules here and in every successful roleplaying guild. As of right now, there are no rules stating when/how/where you have to miss attacks or be hit by attacks. However, if this freedom is being abused, it will be taken away. In the last Saraga guild there was a "five post mandate" imposed that stated that once every five posts you had to get hit by an attack. I don't want to put this back into place because I feel that it takes away from roleplayer freedoms, but I'll reinstate it if the Crew, VC, and myself deem necessary.

Also, the number of characters you may have is limited to three. As membership increases, the number of allowed characters per person will decrease. We can't have forty people running around with three characters. Everything will get confusing and aggravating for us if we do that.

Powers

Now power is stronger than everything else. Every power has weaknesses, strengths, advantages, and drawbacks. This needs to be reflected with your character(s). Also, be creative with your powers. I don't want to see twenty people with fire manipulation powers and only three with water manipulation powers. Make up your own powers, but be able to back them up in terms of what they can do. Just like with characters, you cannot have any godmod powers. It's just a fact of roleplaying and life. You can't beat everyone all of the time.
