Authorized personnel only. Any others will be shot on sight until dead. Their remains will be burned and buried.
This is the research and development part of this force. These eggheads will provide for you the latest and greatest in weaponry for using against the enemies that you will find out there. These things are secret though. Anyone seen handing the secrets to these weapons and other accouterments will be killed horribly. Is that understood? Good. Now let's move on.

Amber sat at her desk, apparently staring off into space. In truth, she was using an implant in her optical cortex and cerebellum to access the internet. She was using that to write a thesis paper on her theories on advanced plasmodic functionalities and its uses. She was soon finished with it and blinked, looking around slightly lost for a moment before she realized where she was. "Wha..." She shook her head. Somebody had placed a bucket on her head while she had been writing the paper. She had her suspects, but she wouldn't be able to prove it. She'd get back later by putting something in their coffee. She reached up and removed the bucket from her head, twitching her ears in annoyance before she set it down where it had come from. She didn't have time to be annoyed for now. She swished her tail at her need to be busy for now. She had the updated mech to finish. She went into the lab, stepping quickly into the decon unit, letting it do its job before setting out so that she could get herself covered in oil. It wasn't a prank or gag or anything against her to make her annoyed even more, but she moved to the mech where a hydraulic line had split and dropped the oil from it onto her. She quickly replaced the ruptured line before going to what she really needed to finish. She stepped into the cockpit and started a diagnostic on the automatic and the automated systems, also checking weapons systems and defensive integrity. It finished quite soon, and she saw no problems. She started working on the software and hardware defenses. She started smiling and humming a dainty tune from way back in history that almost nobody listened to anymore.
