So I was told that next week, they might down the government until they pass the budget. That means my dad won't go to work or get paid if they do. My mom's job is crap and I don't have one yet, so we depend of his job to get by.
They need to pass the stupid budget, lives are on the line here. What about my medical and dental treatments? School? Our home? Food? Do they even care?

I knew California was in bad shape, but what's going on that they actually have to shut down the whole system? eek
Hell, ALABAMA doesn't have it that bad (I'm from Georgia, there's a lot of bad jokes that cross the state line here- even though I live like fifteen minutes away.)

The problem is that the people in charge here don't really care about others. We have bad roads and some of the worst education here. California needs to be fixed up badly.
Yes, they are willing to shut it down. Luckily my dad has to go on a business next week. He thought they were going to cancel it but if he goes, even if they shut the rest down, he would at least get paid for that. Hopefully they will solve the problem soon, but who really knows.
The main problem is the budget crisis, no one seems to agree on anything.

That completely sucks. eek
What's sad is I've met so many people from Cali that brag on how much better their state is than others. Here in Georgia we get a LOT of flak for being backwards racist hicks or the uh... Deliverance thing... (Speaking of which, you can take a whitewater rapids ride on that river and they show you where scenes were filmed).

Ugh Deliverance. I never seen it but I know about the infamous rape scene and banjos.
I guess every state has it pros and cons, but at this moment, there isn't much to brag about here unless you're rich.

California is really quite lame.
"YAY BEACHES!" They're all freezing and foggy. xD
"YAY CELEBRITIES" They don't talk to normal folk.
"YAY GAY RIGHTS" We banned gay marriage, then unbanned it, then banned it again, now it's wtfidk.
"YAY TERMINATOR GOVERNOR" He was boring.
xDD
California has high taxes and a high crime rate, along with massive amounts of illegal immigrants, mass unemployment, and a whole lot of lame legislators.
xD
... but... I mean... Comic-Con.. and Gaia HQ (which I live about an hour from <33) xD

I never been to comic-con, just ani-magic. We do have yaoi con, Anime Expo, and some other things and most of the beaches are nice so Cali isn't completely bad if you are lucky to live near some of the cool places.
But yeah, they confuse me with some of their laws and stuff.

O.k., California needs to pass the damn budget already, this is ridiculous. Technically they weren't going to say anything until tomorrow, but I heard that they aren't going to do. mad
